Foundations Sunday School Class

Millbrook Baptist Church Sunday Service

The Foundations Class is made up of singles and couples, mostly in our twenties, thirties, and forties. Many of our class members have small children, and we add to that number frequently! Our teachers rotate on a weekly basis and we study a combination of deep Bible study and application material. We are a warm and loving group that enjoys fellowship on Sunday mornings and through other opportunities outside of the church. Please consider visiting the Foundations class this week.

Priesthood Of The Believer

We believe in the freedom and right of every Christian to interpret and apply scripture under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We affirm the freedom and responsibility of every person to relate directly to God without the imposition of creed, the control of clergy or the interference of government.

Reflections Sunday School Class

We are led by The Upper Rooms Disciplines devotional guide. It is a seven-day-a-week spiritual journey through the areas that challenge, support, and articulate our faith. Reflections is a group of individuals from a varying range of backgrounds and ages that are lead by various class facilitators rather than teachers. Reflections offers opportunities to share, to listen, to learn, to fellowship, to pray, and to be involved with each other for the betterment of each individual and our collective faith community.

Autonomy Of The Local Church

We believe that Baptist churches are free, under the Lordship of Christ and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to determine their membership and leadership, to order their worship and work, to ordain whomever they perceive as gifted for ministry, and to participate, as they deem appropriate, in the larger Body of Christ.

A Welcome Message From Our Pastor

FOLLOW ME.

These two simple words are a perfect summary of the Christian life. We are called to follow Jesus. This is our vision at Hayes Barton Baptist Church. We want to go where Jesus wants us to go, and we want to do what he wants us to do. And we want to help others do the same.

Why? Because following Jesus will change your life.

We would love for you to join us on this exciting journey. Were not there yet, but thats okay. After all, we are following Jesus, and Jesus knows the way.

Danielson Sunday School Class

Raleigh First Baptist LIVE Broadcast

The Danielson Sunday School Class provokes your thinking outside of the box, engages you in rigorous study and discussion of the radical life and teachings of Christ, and probes what that means for changes in our lives today. We do so consistent with the basic Baptist principles such as the Priesthood of the Believer, the separation of church and state, and the autonomy of the local church, all of which are dependent on individual exploration and thought. We constantly revisit, affirm or modify as necessary our long-held Christian beliefs in order to grow in our understanding of God and of His will for our lives. Our class is quite large, is diverse in age, beliefs, and opinions, and is committed to the right to express them freely in a respectful environment. Our curriculum is derived from the Bible using multiple resources and books. We rotate teaching weekly among four teachers, all with different styles. We welcome any and all who are committed to actively pursuing our purpose.

What To Expect

Above all, no matter who you are or in which of our programs you participate, expect to be accepted warmly, included equally, and challenged to worship God, grow your faith, and give freely of yourself. As a moderate Baptist church, Hayes Barton welcomes all visitors equally and encourages any level of participation with which you are comfortable.

We believe that the worship of God is central to our faith as Christians: it is to our spirits what oxygen is to our lungs. Without it, our faith would die. This belief leads us to worship with passion and joy in all of our services, fellowship, ministries, missions, and any time we are gathered together.

Where To Go

We are blessed on Sunday mornings to have more people than parking spaces on campus, and you may be wondering where you should park. Our offsite parking areas are as follows: Underwood School, First National Bank, the auto service center near Yadkin, Glenwood across from NOFO and in front of the Rialto on both sides of the street, right-hand side of White Oak before the first house, the glass-topped building on the corner of Whitaker Mill and Fairview unless current construction prohibits.

Please observe that there should be NO PARKING on Sunset from White Oak to Whitaker Mill.
