Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

If Ye Love Me Keep My Commandments John 1: 15 Kjv

Love without action is dead. Therefore, God is asking that we demonstrate our love for Him by obeying his commands. Samuel warns us that “to obey is better than sacrifice.”

Lip service does not show our faithfulness to God obedience does. In the face of temptations and trials, unwavering obedience is the true proof of spiritual growth and advancement.

Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart And Lean Not On Your Own Understanding In All Your Ways Submit To Him And He Will Make Your Paths Straight Proverbs : 56 Niv

We can trust God because his plans for us are greater than we can even imagine. Jeremiah tells us that God has plans to prosper us and give us peace, not to harm us. Yes, the world we live in promotes independence and self-help, but God offers to direct our ways if we only seek him. Proverbs 14:12 reminds us that the way that seems right to us only leads to destruction. Let us heed the words of advice from Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived. God has proven himself over and over we can trust him with our lives.

He That Is Faithful In That Which Is Least Is Faithful Also In Much: And He That Is Unjust In The Least Is Unjust Also In Much If Therefore Ye Have Not Been Faithful In The Unrighteous Mammon Who Will Commit To Your Trust The True Riches Luke 1: 10

Many of us are faithful to God when he blesses us bountifully, but our faithfulness fades during trials. God calls us to be faithful in the least of things. Look at Moses. He was a shepherd for 40 years, and he did this faithfully before God awarded him greater responsibility – to lead the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land.

Everything that we own belongs to God, and we are called to be faithful stewards regardless of how much responsibility we have. In Hebrews, we are reminded that God will equip us with everything we need to do his will. Wherever you are called to serve, serve with all your heart and your might as you advance Gods kingdom.

Bible Verses About Faith In People

Psalms 40:10 I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation.

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.

Luke 16:10 One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

1 Corinthians 4:2Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

2 Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithfulfor he cannot deny himself.

The Bible clearly shows that faith is not just a one-time decision to follow Christ but we are called to increase in faith. Faith has been described like a muscle. A muscle in our body will atrophy if it is not used. If you have ever had a cast on an arm or leg for a few weeks you know what I mean. Just from not using the muscle it withers away and is almost useless. Our faith is the same way. We need to use our faith and to grow like Christ and increase our faith. Pray to God for him to increase your faith in Him today. Praise Him!

Verses That Prove God Has A Plan For Your Life

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

-Matthew 6:27

Welcome to Day 17 of 31 Days of Battling Anxiety with Biblical Truth!

God has plans. From the very beginning when He created this world, He had a plan. For day and night, heavens and earth, land and sea, sun and moon, birds and fish, animals and humans, He has always had a plan. And just four verses into His Word, we see that He likes His plan. He calls it good. Indeed, near the end of creation, He calls His plan very good. .

His plan is good because of the purpose it will serve. It is good because of the hope it will give. It is good because of the lives it will save. But really, it is good simply because of the God who calls it so. Creation had only to be created for it to be called good.

But still, God has plans. He has them for you. He knew the span of your life before you were formed in your mothers womb. He knows the hairs on your head, the thoughts in your mind, and the hours that you will live on this earth. He would not leave such attention to detail merely to chance. God has plans for you, and they are good.

Here are fifteen Bible verses that prove that God has plans for your life. May they fill your mind with peace and your heart with comfort as you soak up the knowledge that Gods plans for your life are not for disaster, but for hope.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Until tomorrow, carry on warriors.

Jeremiah 29:11

What Does The Bible Say About Gods Promises

Best Bible Verses About Gods Faithfulness/Be Blessed

Gods faithfulness comes down to the fact that God keeps His promises. Do a search on Gods promises in the Bible, and you will be overwhelmed by its theme. One example in the Bible of Gods faithfulness is Abraham.

God promises Abraham that through his line all the earth would be blessed and instructs him to leave where he was and go to a place He would tell him. That place became known as the Promised Land.

In the same way, God is faithful to us because He stays true to His promises. God always holds up His end of the deal. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance .

This passage shows that God has faith in us, but we must return the faith to Him. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him .

How Was God Faithful To The Israelites

Gods faithfulness to the Israelites is chronicled throughout the scriptures and serves as encouragement for us today. Deuteronomy 28 is a testament of Gods faithfulness, as he used Moses to outline the blessings that the Israelites would receive if they reciprocated his faithfulness and obeyed his commands and the curses that would follow them if they did the contrary.

As they stood on the brink of the Promised Land, Moses called them to faithfulness to God because of all that He had done for them. King David also paid tribute to Gods faithfulness to the Israelites in 1 Chronicles 16: 20-22: He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. Sing unto the Lord, all the earth shew forth from day to day his salvation.

He called to remembrance Gods promise to Abraham down through Isaac and how God rescued the Israelites from bondage in Egypt, preserved them through their sojourn in the wilderness, gave them food from heaven , and provided water from unlikely sources, even a rock and protection day and night. By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Exodus 13:21

What God’s Faithfulness Means For The Christian

10 Bible Verses about Gods Faithfulness Encouraging Bible Scriptures ...

Gods faithfulness is a great source of encouragement for Christians. Knowing how steadfast He is in His love and support helps the modern-day believer maintain faith in the face of adversity. In a fallen world, we encounter struggles with other people for a wide range of reasons: conflict, war, distrust, abandonment, etc. This can lead us to doubt and become cynical about humanity. Moreover, there are times when we find a reason to doubt ourselves.

No matter what circumstances we face or from whom, God promises to be there for us. Those most important to us could give up on us one day, but God would still care . We could lose our job, our health, our reputation, and more. God would still care. He is faithful to those who follow Him. Thats a promise!

In the Bible, many people faced adversity, and at times that led them to doubt not just themselves, but God also. Job had doubts, David had doubts, the disciples had doubts, but their faith outlasted the struggle. And Gods faithfulness to them did not waver. Aside from sin leading us to doubt ourselves and others, we sometimes mistake our circumstances to be an indication as to how God feels about us. A woman who suffers a breakup or divorce may think that God deems her as worthless. A man who struggles to overcome addiction may think God views Him as weak.

Is There A Difference Between Having Faith And Being Faithful

I can say I have faith but not live a faithful life to God. I can posses faith but keep it to myself and not share it with others.

Being truly faithful is putting your faith into action. Letting your faith work for you. Not works of merit, but works of obedience. By not living a faithful life, my faith quite literally does not work. James explains this:

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, You have faith and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one you do well. Even the demons believeand shudder!

A demon has faith because he believes and even trembles as a result of that belief. But a demon, by definition, will not obey therefore, will not live a faithful life.

If I can have faith without works of obedience, I sound an awful lot like the demons. We show the faith we possess by the faithful actions we perform!

And thats how we truly know that God is faithful, too by His actions. He doesnt leave us all alone He sent Jesus for salvation and the Holy Spirit as a constant companion.

What Is Faithfulness In The Bible

Faith is belief. Belief that God exists, and that He sent His Son to save us. Faithfulness is living a life based in faith. If we believe that God loves us and saves us, this will necessarily impact our actions and the choices that we make.

I have often heard Hebrews chapter 11 referred to as the Hall of Fame of Faith. Hebrews 11:1 lays out the best definition of faith, and the rest of the chapter outlines acts of faithfulness from Abel through the prophets.

Gods Promise Realized Through Faith

13 For the promise that he would inherit the world did not come to Abraham or to his descendants through the law but through the righteousness of faith.14 For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. 15 For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.

What It Means To Believe Jesus

Declaring God’s Faithfulness

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” –2 Cor. 4:4

What It Means to Believe Jesusby Jonathan Parnell

Jesus is raised from the dead, and therefore the Christian story is not just a story. It demands a response, and that response, because Jesus is raised and real, is personalthe gospel calls us to believe him.

But what exactly is faith? What does it mean to believe Jesus?

Because Jesus is a person, a real person who has been raised from the dead, he has intangible, aesthetic qualities that faith comprehends.

Even on the level of our common relationships, when we talk about putting our faith in someone, we mean that we deem the qualities of that person worthy of our trust. Trusting someonebelieving that personinevitably taps into our affections. This is why it hurts so much when the object of our trust doesnt pan out like we hoped. Relying upon someone involves the heart.

In the eighteenth century, the American theologian Jonathan Edwards commented on this verse: Nothing can be more evident, than that a saving belief of the gospel is here spoken of, by the apostle, as arising from the mind being enlightened to behold the divine glory of the things it exhibits.

Translation: faith comes from seeing the worthiness of Jesus.

Believing in Jesus is the affectional embrace of Jesus as worthy and glorious.
