A Crown To Her Husband

A virtuous wife a woman of strength and character is a crown to her husband. This crown is a symbol of authority, status, or honor. On the other hand, a disgraceful wife will do nothing but weaken and destroy her husband:

A wife of noble character is her husbands crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

These verses stress the importance of teaching children the right way to live:

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.

Scripture For A Troubled Marriage

7. 1 Corinthians 8:1 says, Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that We all possess knowledge. But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.

Knowledge focuses on winning, being right, and ultimately on you. Love builds up the people in your life. When our is facing trouble we need to step back from winning in our conversations and focus on showing love in our interactions.

We have nothing if we dont have love. How many hours of arguments would be saved if we could catch what Paul is trying to show us! When we live with love, our relationships come first and our opinions come last.

8. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

The battle for a joy-filled marriage starts in the mind. The state of our marriage frequently reflects how well we know our God. When we are living a spirit-filled life, it is then we can more easily see when our attitudes or thoughts dont align with the instructions of Christ.

In order to find joy in our relationship we have to be dialed into the Holy Spirit. We must allow the Spirit to convict us when our thoughts dont align with the truth of Gods word for our marriage.

Paul tells us we have to actually teach our thoughts to obey Christ. We cannot be passive about whats going on in our minds. The way we win joy for our marriages is by training our minds to expect it.

Biblical Perspective For Facing Challenges: What Would Jesus Do

I was looking for some Biblical perspective for what do we do when we are faced with challenges, our hearts hurt, and our emotions are raw.

Frequently, we look to our friends to comfort us. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they can. But other times, they cant understand. Perhaps they havent been through similar situations and havent walked the same journey.

Its so important, however, that we maintain a Biblical perspective. Gods perspective is the one we need. How would Jesus handle such situations which grieve our hearts? What would Jesus do?

Psalm 5: 22 ~ Support

Pin on Inspiration

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

One of the hurtful byproducts of breakup or divorce is the disappointment that comes from someone whose support you want to either step out or take your exs side. For me, personally, the letdown has been how some people in my life seem to value my marriage more than they value my happiness, while others have acted in invalidating ways because fail to see or understand the wreckage in my soul. Know that when no one seems to be on your side, the Lord is no matter what.

There Are Times When Life Falls Apart

David cries out , O Lord, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me. Many are saying of my soul, There is no deliverance for him in God. The first, second, and final strophes are followed by Selah, which is probably a musical notation meaning, pause, or crescendo.

David begins by crying out to Yahweh, translated Lord . When the NASB uses Lord , it is translating the Hebrew, Adonai, meaning Sovereign Lord. Lord in small caps translates Yahweh, the personal, covenant name of God. God revealed Himself to Moses with this name at the burning bush. It is related to the Hebrew verb, to be, so that God tells Moses, I am who I am . For David to address God as Yahweh had the same connotation as New Testament believers addressing Him as, Abba, Father . It is an intimate, personal cry for help.

Ive already described Davids traumatic situation, but note a few other features brought out by these verses. First, Davids adversaries were increasing in number. He always had enemies, but the ranks were growing daily. Things were snowballing against David. Like a dam that first leaks and then suddenly bursts, the raging torrent of the rebellion was threatening to sweep David and his loyal followers to their deaths.

Lack Of Commitment To The Marriage

Several years ago, in the midst of a midlife crisis, God impressed upon me that he had provided everything I need in my wife. Put into that perspectivethat your wife is a tremendous blessing from the Lord in every way. Knowing that, a man can pour his whole heart into committing to being all she needs him to be, too.

When Emotions Are Raw And It Feels Like Life Is Falling Apart

Over the past weeks, Ive grieved for several friends who have lost loved ones, whose emotions were real and raw, and whose hearts were broken. I watched as one friend received word that her older friend/mentor/sister in the Lord passed away from cancer into the arms of Jesus. A couple of days later, I learned that another friends sister died from cancer, and I would miss the services because I couldnt get home in time. Just yesterday, I learned that another friends young adult son and two others who were helping with disaster relief in Florida in the wake of Hurricane Michael, were hit by a drunk driver and all three were killed. Then just a couple of minutes ago I learned that another friends mother died suddenly in the night.

Trying to make sense of such tragedies left my heart in agony for them and my emotions raw. I have lost several friends and family members to death. I grieve for each one of these friends in their losses. My heart hurts for the pain they endure. And it stirs up old grief that I had put away because it was so painful to endure.

I had a conversation with one of these friends who honestly admitted, My emotions are just raw. I knew what she meant. I prayed with her and promised to continue praying.

Prayer For Family Guidance

Guide our way, Lord, as we go on with our lives today. Also, be our shield as we go back home later. May you always preserve the bond that we have as a family, and may we look forward to seeing each other once again at home.

Guard our home as well, God, that no harm will fall on it as we are away. May it continue to be a sanctuary of blessing, comfort, and love for each one of us. Let it always be a restful place for our tired bodies at the end of the day.

Continue to protect us, Lord, as we rest at night. Allow no intruders or calamities to disturb my home tonight. I trust in your mighty power to keep me and my family safe from any form of evil. In Your Name, I ask all these things, Amen. ~ By Pearl Dy

Bible Verses About Betrayal

Pin on Christian Quotes

Being betrayed by a friend or a family member is one of the worst feelings ever. Sometimes the emotional pain is far worse than that of physical pain. The question is, how do we handle betrayal? The first thing our flesh wants to do is get revenge. If not physically, then in our minds.

We must be still. We must take our minds off the situation and put our focus on Christ.

If we keep on thinking about the situation, then it will only build up anger.

We must give all our problems to the Lord. He will calm the storm within us. We must follow the example of Christ who was also betrayed. Look at how much God forgave us.

Lets forgive others. We must rest upon the Spirit. We must ask the Spirit to help us love our enemies and to remove any bitterness and anger lurking in our hearts.

Understand that all the difficult things we face in life God will use it for His great purpose. Just like Joseph said, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.

When you set your mind on Christ there is an amazing peace and love feeling that He will provide. Go find a quiet place. Cry out to God. Allow God to help your pain and hurt. Pray for your betrayer just like Christ prayed for His enemies.

Quotes

The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.

Forgiveness doesnt excuse their behavior. Forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying your heart.

To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.

Bible Verses About Family Problems

He who troubles his own house will inherit wind,And the foolish will be servant to the wisehearted.

A friend loves at all times,And a brother is born for adversity.

Do not forsake your own friend or your fathers friend,And do not go to your brothers house in the day of your calamity Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.

They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,And in the days of famine they will have abundance.

Do not trust in a neighbor Do not have confidence in a friend. From her who lies in your bosomGuard your lips.

A foolish son is a grief to his fatherAnd bitterness to her who bore him.

No harm befalls the righteous,But the wicked are filled with trouble.

They will not labor in vain,Or bear children for calamity For they are the offspring of those blessed by the Lord,And their descendants with them.

Better is a dry morsel and quietness with itThan a house full of feasting with strife.

In the day of prosperity be happy,But in the day of adversity considerGod has made the one as well as the otherSo that man will not discover anything that will be after him.

The heart knows its own bitterness,And a stranger does not share its joy.

Because he who is blessed in the earthWill be blessed by the God of truth And he who swears in the earthWill swear by the God of truth Because the former troubles are forgotten,And because they are hidden from My sight!

He who returns evil for good,Evil will not depart from his house.

Psalm 3: 19 ~ Deliverance

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

As we draw near to God, He will rescue us from the depths of our personal hell. I gotta add that this wont happen by magic and as we put in consistent effort, the situation wont necessarily change, but our perspective will.
