Bible Verses For When Youre In A Season Of Change

2 Timothy 4:2 – Bible verse of the Day

Is it just me, or are we in a crazy time of rapid changes? One after another, I would say. I dont know about you, but I am definitely in a season of change, many to be exact. At times, I dont know what to feel but what I do know is that God will see me through it. Let me explain it some more.

I have often coin myself a person in constant transition. Always starting a new chapter, a new focus, you would think my life was an encyclopedia series. No, Im exaggerating a little, but it feels that way sometimes.

I know that I am a person with many desires, goals, and decisions that require a lot of shifting. Some of my own will, but a majority in Gods Will. Changes that Ive experienced thus far have been all for the better, even when they are good times or unpleasant times.

Bible Verses About Seasons Changing

In life there is one constant we can be sure of, seasons change. And the Change of Seasons is well identified in the scriptures.

Whether its Jesuss parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24:32 or Gods promise about the seasons from Genesis 8:22, the different seasons blending into each other represent the constant change of season in our lives.

As you read the following Bible verses, youll recognize the change of seasons in your life, see how Gods hand guides you through each one.

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Acts 1:7 KJV

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Daniel 2:20-21 KJV

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.

Verses For A Season Of Waiting

Last week, when I talked about how to thrive in a season of waiting, I shared with you about my ongoing struggle with impatience. And I opened up about how I have this crazy urge to wrest control from Gods grasp and clench it in my own fist. It was touching and encouraging to hear that this post really resonated with some of you

Today I want to continue the dialogue by sharing some verses that bring me encouragement during seasons of waiting. A lot of these come from Psalms because, well, King David was a man who knew how fallible he was as a human, how much his soul ached for God, and how he needed to truly rely on his Maker. His words are so beautiful and have really become a prayer for me during times of learning to wait on the Lord. I hope these bring you some hope and joy too, friends!

Bible Verses About Change

The Bible tells us that we will go through many seasons of change during our time here on Earth. Why is that so important? Because it gives us hope for when we are in a bad season that it wont last forever and a better season is on the horizon.

No matter how many bad decisions or choices youve made that have put you on the path you are currently on, God can change that!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Seasons changing in Revelation give us hope for what is to come. Revelation is full of scary content if you ask me, but these beautiful verses show us that there will come a time when Gods plan is fulfilled and our life will be better than we could ever imagine right now.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look! Gods dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Meaning Of Summer Season

Summer brings warmth, refreshing breezes, and periods of relaxation. Our times of light in the Midwest stretch out to 12-hour periods. That allows for all the joys of outside recreation and activities. We throw off the clothes that hinder us and break out the shorts and sandals.

We throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles in our spiritual summer season too. Everything that hinders may even include things that are good, but if they impede putting forth our best effort in our Christian journey, they need to go.

Take stock of your life and see what you can throw off in order to travel light for Him.

Natures summer is also a season of maturing growth in the plants life cycle. Spiritual summer is a time of maturity in our spiritual growth.

How are you maturing in your faith? This is a season of building on your foundation.

Bible Verses For Seasons Of Change

To everything there is a season Bible Verse Wooden Coaster

Fall officially starts on September 22 this year, and it won’t be long before we start to see the signs of its coming around our senior living communities. The days will shorten, the tree leaves will turn and autumn-themed events and decorations will flavor our daily lives.

The change of seasons can be an exciting time, filled with annual activities and holidays that we look forward to experiencing. It can also be unsettling if we let worries of the unknown cloud our perspective.

When change appears on the horizon, here are three Bible verses to remind us to keep our eyes on God and the comfort His unchanging promises bring.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22 KJV

The consistency of the earth’s seasons is a reflection of its Maker and the steadiness of His character. James 1:17-19 tells us that: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Our father cares for every one of His creations, from the littlest sparrow to the mightiest leviathan. And He calls us more precious then these. We can rest assured in any time of uncertainty that His love and provision for us will never fail.

In this article, we will explore Bible verses about seasons. These verses will help you get a better understanding of what scripture says about seasons. So, grab your Bible, and lets dig in!

Times and seasons in the Bible have always been an interest to me. And to be honest to fully understand you really need to do an in-depth study. But for this post, we will be just focusing on verses on seasons.

In the King James Version, we see the word season mentioned 69 times. But what I found interesting was that as I searched the Bible for these verses. I found a slew of different references for the word. Below is a list of what I found.

  • Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall
  • In due season or in season
  • Appointed seasons
  • Seasoning as in seasoning food with salt

The majority of the time the word season is to reference a specific set time or appointed time. This of course is when we can see it can mean specific times in the earths weather pattern changes. But a lot of these season passages allude to the seasons to which the Jewish festivals are in. Its also important to note that in Hebrew, we see 5 Hebrew words that are translated into our English word season. This makes it harder to fully grasp what the Lord is showing us. To get a full and clear picture we need to study the topic.
