Whom Shall I Fear

THE GREATEST BIBLE VERSES (Inspirational)

Though he was pursued by Saul and threatened with very real physical death more than most of us can say for ourselves, David held fast to the truth that God truly is in control.

The Lord is my light and my salvationwhom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my lifeof whom shall I be afraid?Psalms 27:1

As David found, the only fear of any value is fear of the Lord. All who are wise will listen to these words he wrote.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.Psalms 111:10

Fear Of Danger And Unrest

12. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

13. The Lord is my light and my salvation so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Verses To Remind Us We Do Not Have To Fear

I struggled with fear and worry for years. But through time, I began to find that the things that once would have sent me down an anxious spiral, no longer had the same effect. It didn’t happen quickly, but over days, months, years.

I read words of life of truth. Soaking them in, over and over, praying them out loud. Until they became so familiar, they replaced the other things in my mind that I’d battled against. There’s nothing magical about words and verses, but there is power through them, because they’re God’s words.

When You Neglect God You Become Weak

Sometimes the cause of our fear is because of neglecting God. When your heart is not aligned toward the Lord, it really affects you. Why do you think that Satan wants to kill your prayer life? When a believer tries to live without the source of their salvation, they become weak and broken. Once you start neglecting God it becomes harder and harder to sense His presence and you start to feel alone.

So many believers are neglecting God and that is why so many believers are weak, timid, they cant handle burden, they are afraid to witness, they are afraid to do Gods will, they have no power in their life. When you dont shut yourself away with God, you will turn into a coward. You have to get alone with God.

When you looked for Isaac, you found him in the field alone with God. John the Baptist was in the wilderness. Jesus always found a lonely place. All of Gods greatest men have been alone with God seeking His face. You have fear and you want more boldness in your life, but you have not because you ask not. We have many problems, but if we would just get alone with God, we would see that all of our problems will be solved.

Therefore, pray! Always pray! When those anxious thoughts sneak up on you, you have two options. You can either dwell on them, which makes it worse and gives Satan an opportunity, or you can bring them to God. Dont neglect the prayer closet.

18. Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

What About Fear Of Death

Isaiah 41:13 NIV | Bible Adventure Memory Verse | LifeKids

We wake up every morning, not knowing whether this day will be our last. Each day brings bad news in the media, but even the possibility of death is no reason to be afraid. Jesus Christ said so Himself!

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.Matthew 10:28

Are you ready for Heaven? Do you believe in Jesus and have you repented of your sins? Have you allowed Him into your daily life and asked Him to continually transform you daily into the man or woman He wants you to be? If you can answer yes to these questions, you can rest assured that you will be with Jesus in Heaven when you pass from this life to the next. We dont know what Heaven holds exactly, but if we truly trust God, we can trust that when he says it is paradise, its paradise. Dont waste your time worrying about dying. Instead, spend your time living for Christ.

What Is The Tribulation

The Great Tribulation, as mentioned in the Bible, is a period of great hardships and suffering.

In Revelation, it is revealed that there will be a period of 7 years of suffering on earth. Those who are left on the earth will endure terrible times.

So, will anyone be saved during the 7 years of Tribulation?

Gods Command To Fear Not

God says Do not fear hundreds of times throughout the Bible. But what does that mean? Was my 7th-grade-self sinning? Are you wrong to feel fear when youre not sure how to pay next months rent or when you get that dire health diagnosis or when your job is on the line?

No. Youre not wrong. God wired our brains to experience fear. It is a primary emotion. There is a reason and purpose for our fear as we respond to triggering stimuli. When God says, Do not fear he is not commanding us to shut off a part of our brain. His model citizen isnt an emotionless and stoic robot.

The real issue God wants us to wrestle with is where we go when we fear. Where do you go with your fears? How do you deal with them?

Simply put, God wants us to come to him. Fear can paralyze us. Yet when we fear in the presence of God, God help us take the next step of faith even in the midst of our fear! Unfortunately, no one will be able to escape fear in this sinful and broken world. It is real. It can be paralyzing. It is powerful.

But God is more powerful.

He has the power and desire to be with us in the midst of our fears. Remembering this will enable to us to take the next step of faithfulness in our lives. How? Because God is with us. We can continue to fight to believe Jesus is more in and through our fears thanks to his presence with us.
