I feel loved and appreciated regularly. Whether its Joyce texting me encouragement, or Janice being my biggest support or whether Danuyell is making me laugh or Donna T is texting me, Bev and Sid are feeding me, K-Lump is tweeting me, Mo is having lunch with me, Tim is singing for me, Ellie is motivating me, or Vera K D loving me on Facebook, or September textinghey, Id better stop. I cant begin to name all the people who make my life a pastors wife a joy. There are so many of them!
In the end, Im incredibly blessed, so, this is not some pitiful attempt to tell my church what I need to hear or what to do, they are already doing great in supporting me and my husband.

Icipate In Church Ladies Activities
Be involved in helping to prepare for activities. If thereare workdays or nights to prepare decorations, help with these! Arrive early and help your pastors wife greet ladies, especially new ladies. Ifthey are alone, introduce them to a faithful lady so that she may sit with her.Dont wait for your pastors wife to ask you to do this.
Ministry takes place when divine resources flowthrough human instruments for the glory of God. Again, prior to the activity,ask the Holy Spirit to fill you. You will know what to do. He will guide you. Stayafter the activity to help with clean up. Try not to leave until the pastorswife does! She should not have to be the last one cleaning up.

Besides, Gods grace carried me through as it always had. A high point was when the Weavers called me and said What can I bring you for lunch? That blessed me so. My cousin sent flowers and my others called and texted me often. I was supported. My oldest son was my mainstay and my youngest worked it all like a champ. My bestie, Cheryle, had my back. God provided just like He always does.
Back to the subject: I married a man of unusual purpose and vision and that means hes always in the building process. Thats why his name is on a statue in our city. Hes served, worked, and made a difference. Im proud of him for that.

When I became a pastor’s wife, I didn’t know where to turn for help.
My husband, Dr. Tony Evans, could go to conferences and network with other pastors, but there weren’t any things like that for me. At first, I struggled to live up to an image of what a pastor’s wife should be. But when Tony told me he just wanted me to be me, it represented a real turning point.
My experience led me to create the First Lady Conference for senior pastors’ wives, so these often overlooked women could be educated and encouraged. The ministry is growing — our seventh annual conference attracted more than 500 women last year. But I’ve talked with hundreds of women who have struggled with the burden of being a senior pastor’s wife. It’s safe to say that Mary Winkler’s family needed help. It seems that there may have been no place to turn, and no place to talk, to help defuse what became an explosive situation.

To be clear, let me say, neither man is any better than the other man. The two types are just different from one another and experience life differently.
Consequently, its usually those ordinary guys who execute the visions of the visionaries, or else theyd never come to fruition. The ordinary men are the tithe payers, the deacons, the helpers, and the supporters. Men of vision couldnt do what they do without those men. Again, neither is better than the other. Clear? Good.
