Hundreds Flock To Fellowship Bible Church Reopening Despite Covid

Fellowship Bible Church parishioners worshiped at the church this weekend for the first time since fears of coronavirus infections closed the church on March 8.

Karen Santmier, a Fellowship Bible Church volunteer, hands out name tags to Dale and Julie Zilke, prior to services on Sunday. The name tags were a way for people wearing face masks to be recognized. The church held services this weekend for the first time since coronavirus concerns closed it on March 8. Several safety protocols were put in place to reduce the risk of infection including reduced seating, social distancing, providing masks to those who wanted to wear them and pumping fresh air into the church through the church’s HVAC system.

WINCHESTER Fellowship Bible Church parishioners prayed, pondered biblical scripture and sang songs together this weekend as they typically do at church.
But services weren’t typical this weekend. They were the first at the church since coronavirus concerns closed it on March 8. Worship has been online during the break.
Parishioner Sara Wagner, who began attending the church in 2001, said she had no apprehension about returning.

Strategic Planning And Leadership
In conjunction with the Senior Pastor and Elder Board, support FBC strategic planning and staff coordination in execution of that plan. Help define strategic goals and vision as a key leader among staff and elders. Assist the staff in developing new ministry programs, as directed by the Holy Spirit, so that we are appropriately responsive to identified needs and church growth.
- Provide significant input in vision casting and goal setting.
- Monitor the pulse of the congregation through research and evaluation.
- Ensure staffing, facilities and programs are appropriately and effectively aligned to best meet our strategic goals.
- Oversee and cross level the preparation of annual ministry plans by the functional pastors and ministry heads. Avoid duplicated efforts. Champion appropriate resourcing of initiatives.
