What Is A Restart
A restart happens when a healthy, growing church or church planter takes leadership responsibility for a distressed or declining historic church in order to restore the people and Gospel mission of that local church. If done well, a restart can be a powerful tool to redeem kingdom space, kingdom people and kingdom resources in a way that reflects the redemptive heart of the Gospel. In the U.S. and Europe there are thousands of churches with struggling, often older congregations who are in need of vision, energy and leadership. New Life Chicago has been privileged to restart 9 congregations over our history and we have found it to be a key part of the mission and movement in the urban context.

Pastor Juan And Rosa Sanchez
Juan and Rosabel Sanchez have been involved in ministry for the last 12 years. They were Fusion ministry leaders and Elders at Newlife Midway before being launched out in the Spring of 2014 to plant Newlife Garfield-Ridge, where they led services at Kennedy High School. In the Fall of 2016 both the New Life Garfield Ridge and New Life Cicero church families merged into one new dynamic body of Christ, which Juan and Rosabel now pastor. Both Juan and Rosabel are life-long residents of the City of Chicago and both work as educators for Chicago Public Schools. They have a shared passion to see healthy, vibrant and spiritually equipped individuals and families grow and thrive. Together, they have four children and a beagle named Zoe.

Samuel y Violeta Sotelo, originarios de México, no imaginaban que Dios bendeciría a una pareja como ellos, con el privilegio de servir a otros a través de la salvación, bautizos, y crecimiento espiritual. Un grupo de estudio bíblico se convirtió en la congregación que llevan hoy. Aun en medio de circunstancias difíciles, el ministerio de nueve años, sigue creciendo gracias a la fidelidad de Dios. Junto con el amor y apoyo de la congregación, su familia espera continuar haciendo un impacto para Cristo.

- January 2, 2018This location of New Life has multiplied. You can get the current map and address at www.NewLifeChicago.org. There are now Sunday worship services in both East and West Rogers Park.
- September 22, 2012This location has moved from the YMCA to UNO charter school at 7416 N. Ridge Ave. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the building. This is a multi-cultural and multi-generational church.

Mark is the Senior and Founding Pastor of New Life Community Church as well as the 10thPresident of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. He and his wife Dee have seen New Life grow from a handful of people to several thousand meeting at over twenty locations with over forty worship services each weekend.
Mark is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago.
