Andy Stanley: Rumors Controversy/scandal

Back in 2016, Andy was dragged into a controversy after he commented about small churches in a sermon. In the sermon, he said, When I hear adults say,

Well I dont like a big church, I like about 200, I want to be able to know everybody, I say, You are so stinking selfish. You care nothing about the next generation.

All you care about is you and your five friends. You dont care about your kids anybody elses kids.

Although, Andy apologized on Twitter stating,

The negative reaction to the clip from last weekends message is entirely justified. Heck, even I was offended by what I said! I apologize.

Communicator Author And Pastor

Communicator, author, and pastor Andy Stanley founded Atlanta-based North Point Ministries in 1995. Today, NPM consists of eight churches in the Atlanta area and a network of 180 churches around the globe that collectively serve over 200,000 people weekly. A survey of U.S. pastors in Outreach Magazine identified Andy as one of the ten most influential living pastors in America.

Andy holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from Georgia State University and a masters degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author of more than 20 books, including Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets Irresistible The New Rules for Love, Sex & Dating How to Be Rich Deep & Wide Enemies of the Heart When Work & Family Collide and Visioneering.

North Point Community Church

North Point Community Church is a non-denominational, evangelicalmegachurch located in Alpharetta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. North Point currently averages more than 38,589 people in attendance across eight locations in the north metro Atlanta area. Proud Parents Of Three

Following the strong marital relationship, Andy and his spouse Sandra shared three adorable children. The married pair welcomed their first kid, a son, Andrew Stanley in1992. Similarly, their second son Garrett Stanley was born in.

Likewise, Andy and Sandra’s third kid, a daughter, Allie Stanley, was born in . Sandra and Andy’s kids are all grown up. Their eldest son Andrew a comedian is in a romantic relationship with his beloved love partner Ana Moises, an attorney.

Andy began his career as an assistant Pastor and Minister to Students at First Baptist Atlanta.

After working there for a few years, Andy along with his other friends formed North Point Community Church in 1995.

It is also one of the biggest churches in the United States, which has established six campuses to date.

Currently, North Point Community Church has been also assisting to form other churches. Furthermore, Andy was listed among the 10th most influential living preachers.

In addition, he was named to be the fourth speaker at the National Prayer Service.

Andy is related to Pastor Charles Stanley in that he is his son. He has one sibling a younger sister by the name Becky. Andy was born of Pastor Charles and his then wife Anna Johnson Stanley. His father is the founder and president of In Touch Ministries as well as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Sadly, his mother passed on on November 10, 2014.

North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, led by Pastor Andy Stanley, was recently named the second-largest mega church in the nation.

According to 24/7 Wall St. many of the 25 largest churches are located in Florida or Texas, but North Point is among the exceptions. In fact, North Point is the only Georgia-based church included on the list.
