Dear Lord,
Thank you for this special time of gathering in celebration. We are grateful for the people sitting at our tables, the bounty of food before us, and the chance to be together.
Throughout Scripture, special occasions were celebrated by holding a banquet. These were times when your people would congregate to eat, fellowship, and enjoy your many blessings. Psalm 118:24 says, This is the day the Lord has made We will rejoice and be glad in it. Father, in the spirit of thanksgiving and with joyful hearts, we ask you to bless this banquet and each person here.

A Warm Greeting Prayer For Church Services
Oh, Lord God,
Thank you for bringing us together today and for your sons gift, Jesus Christ. Thank you that in him we are forgiven and set free to come together in this service.
As we come together today, send Your Holy Spirit to be by our sides as we worship you wholeheartedly. Help us to remember that you are always with us and that we need not be afraid.
We pray for those who do not know You yet. Bring them into our midst today, so they may feel Your heavenly love and warmth. We pray for those who are lost, hurting, or in pain. Help them to feel Your eternal love.
Amen.
