Baptism is the first sacrament where you become united with Christ and the Church no other sacrament can be received without it. A priest performs this rite by immersing the baptismal candidate into water, therefore cleansing their original sin through water and the word. The candidate traditionally wears white garments, a candle is lit and they are anointed with sacred chrism. This is the first step in your relationship with God and Christ. Usually this takes place when the candidate is a baby, however, its never too late and youre never too old to begin your journey with God. Its common to have a baptism celebration with friends and family afterwards and give the child baptism keepsakes that will help them grow in their faith.

During the sacrament of Reconciliation, one confesses their sins to God through a priest who forgives their sins by Gods mercy, and orders them to live a more faithful life through absolution. Confession is essential to cultivating and fruitfully living out the word of God. Were not perfect people, even if we try to be. It feels so much better to confess some of those things you have done wrong and receive forgiveness. This helps us have a stronger relationship with God.

Are You Able To Host A Ukrainian Family
When hearing reports of the war in Ukraine, and the millions of Ukrainians that have been forced to flee their homeland, many have asked what they can do to help. Over 80,000 Ukrainians have already arrived to Canada through a special visa program created by Immigration Canada. An additional 500,000 have applied to the program and are expected to arrive in the coming months. Many are arriving to Toronto and are without family here in Canada to help them. Among those will be some who are vulnerable to human trafficking, particularly seniors, single women, and women with children. There is an immediate need for families to host for a period of between one and six months some of those who have arrived. If you would like to learn more about hosting a Ukrainian family, please go to Archdiocese of Toronto Ukrainian Crisis and register for a virtual information session.

Humanitarian Relief For Ukraine
Donations to help Ukrainians who are suffering due to this war would be most appreciated.
The Archdiocese of Toronto will channel donations to support the Office for Refugees, Archdiocese of Toronto and the Catholic Near East Welfare Association . CNEWA is a papal agency with a long history of humanitarian relief it is currently working in Eastern Europe, providing Ukrainians with food, shelter, medicine and transportation to safe locations. ORAT is Canadas largest private Sponsorship Agreement Holder, which helps bring hundreds of newcomers to our country each year it will use donations to bring Ukrainian refugees to Canada as soon as possible.
Your donation will help Ukrainians who are beset by violence in Eastern Europe and it will help some of them find a new home in Canada.

The Parish Office is located within the Church Building. The Parish Office Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM, Friday 9AM to noon, and Sundays 8 AM to 1 PM. During June and July the office closes on Fridays at noon. The Main Parish Office includes the Priests offices, the Pastoral Associates office, the Director of Music and Liturgys office and the Parish Secretaries. This Office is for general parish information, parish registration, information about sacramental records, information about baptisms and marriage, to speak with or make an appointment with the Priests, Deacons, Pastoral Staff or the Parish Liturgist.
