Church On The Rock Georgetown Tx

A Clean Safe Children’s Ministry

Rev. Stephanie – Celebration Of Life
  • We have well-qualified, friendly ladies staffing our nursery during each service. For those with children 3 years old and younger, we encourage you to take advantage of the nursery.

  • During the Sunday morning service, our church provides a Children’s Church class for children aged 4-12. This class is conducted by an adult team of our trained church members. The children will enjoy singing, Bible teaching, and activities on their level.

  • During the Tuesday evening service, children 4-12 can attend a children’s program while the adults and teenagers hold a Bible study and prayer time.

My name is Katie Gonzales. I have lived in Georgetown for about fifteen years, and I graduated from Georgetown High School. I earned a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at AustinGo Horns! I have always had a passion for working with youth. After graduating, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I received my secondary education teaching certificate in 2008, and began teaching the following school year. I taught the most popular subject among high school students, Mathematics, for Round Rock ISD. After five years of teaching I moved to a new position where I could work with children and their families. For two years I worked with the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program at STARRY.

I am married and have three children, two daughters and a son, who keep us laughing every day. We are members of Church on the Rock and couldnt be happier about where God has planted us. We are honored to serve our Pastors and our church body in the youth department! What a blessing it has been to see God working through our young people!

I am excited about this opportunity to work with our youth at FCA. I appreciate our Pastors heart to establish a school that brings the church atmosphere around our youth every day of the week, sets a standard of excellence, and most importantly puts God as the first priority.

My name is Amy Chapman, and I am so blessed to be teaching at Faith Christian Academy!

I grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences, and then lived and worked in Houston for nine years. After moving back to the Georgetown area, I was a substitute teacher for three years with Jarrell ISD during which time I completed my teaching certification through LeTourneau University in April 2009. I then taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade English, Social Studies, and Power Reading at Jarrell Middle School for five years.

I have two grown children, Emma and Clayton, live in Jarrell, and I have been a member of Church on the Rock since 2012.

My love of reading and writing was developed at an early age by my parents who were also teachers. I have always enjoyed school, and I believe that we should never stop learning. I am honored to have been a teacher at FCA since the start of the school and to witness God fulfilling the vision that He gave our Pastors.

I must respond to bertwhiz. Just a wee bit amused! The security with the earpiece was most likely asking an usher to find out whose number was coming up on the monitor because no one was going to the baby room. Most likely, someone was engrossed in the service and didn’t notice their number. The earpiece is so they don’t disrupt services! We also have a gentleman who sweeps the parking lot because we are located next to a bar. It is the ushers’ job to know who is new so they can be sure and greet them and answer any questions they may have. I am sure he was legitimately greeting you, not being a big brother, though it may have appeared that way! I have been a member for two years and love this place. These people have become my family and I love our pastor with all my heart. I feel blessed, enlightened and I learn more about God every day. I hope you come back, and this time maybe ask the ushers why they do such-and-such. This way you won’t feel bothered by the ushers. It is just a convenient way for them to communicate without disrupting the service to ask where a free seat is and things like that! : ) We hope to see you again!
