Gethsemane Welcomes Rev Dr Roy Dennis And Family
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church has selected Rev. Dr. Roy L. Dennis Jr. to be the next pastor of Gethsemane.Dr. Dennis is a native of Rogersville, Tennessee. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was commissioned into the US Army as an officer.He was ordained by the Rowan Baptist Association in 2003. He received his master of divinity degree in 2005 from the Shaw Divinity School in Raleigh and his Doctoral degree from Drew University in 2012.Pastor Dennis is affiliated with the General State Baptist Convention of North Carolina, the Lott Carey Foreign Missionary Convention, National Baptist Convention USA and the Rowan Baptist Association. He is the former pastor of Bluestone Missionary Baptist Church, Pelham, NC and First Vice Moderator of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Association. He is also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity .Pastor Dennis is married to Delphine Taylor Dennis and the parents of Bria Delphine and Roy L. Dennis III
