Do All Good People Go To Heaven

How to go to Heaven according to The Bible

In most lands, only a few people are rulers. Since Jesus resurrects people to heavenly life so that they can rule over the earth, we would expect those chosen to be few. The Bible says exactly how many will rule with Jesus.Read Revelation 14:1.

Jesus has prepared places in heaven for some of his followers. Do you know what they will do there?

Those going to heaven will not be the only ones rewarded. Faithful subjects of Jesus Kingdom will enjoy life without end in a restored paradise on earth. Some will enter Paradise by surviving the destruction of the present wicked system of things. Others will enter by resurrection.Read Psalm 37:29 John 5:28, 29.

Heaven Will Have Pearl Gates & Streets Of Gold

The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass .

I recently read a historical account in my sons History book that described what the early colonists discovered on the shores of Chesapeake Bay. Giant oysters, so numerous they covered the ground like stones, were waiting in abundance for the weary travelers. Many of them contained pearlsmuch to the colonists delight.

To visualize the pearly gates of heaven, being formed out of ONE pearl, is unfathomable. Streets of gold, so pure that they are transparent, will extend from the twelve gates. What a beautiful description!

Revelation 21 goes on to say that in heaven there will be no more sun or moon. The glory of God and the light of the Lamb will be its illumination.

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day .

Who Will Not Go To Heaven According To The Bible

He then who does not confess Christ, or does not walk according to His word, shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Chrysostom: He said not he that doth My will, but the will of my Father, for it was fit so to adapt it in the mean while to their weakness.

Don’t Miss: Bible Verses Against Cremation

If Our Loved Ones Are In Hell Won’t That Spoil Heaven

In we’ll see clearly that God revealed Himself to each person and that He gave opportunity for each heart or conscience to seek and respond to Him . Everyone deserves hell no one deserves heaven. Jesus went to the cross to offer salvation to all . God is absolutely sovereign and doesn’t desire any to perish . Yet many will perish in their unbelief .

In heaven, we’ll embrace God’s holiness and justice. God will be our source of joy. Hell’s small and distant shadow will not interfere with God’s greatness or our joy in Him. All of this should motivate us to share the gospel of Christ with family, friends, neighbors and the whole world.

No One Is Good Except God Alone

Like the man who approached Jesus and used the word good, perhaps without giving it much thought, we too need to be careful how we use and define our terms. As Jesus answered, No one is good except God alone . Do all good people go to heaven? Since no one is good as defined by God, the answer is, No. Those who enter heaven do so not on the basis of merit, but on the basis of Gods grace as bestowed by Jesus Christ. We cant work our way to heaven or claim to be without sin . Instead, we must humbly submit to God, turn from our wrong behavior, and turn to Christ for salvation.

What Does The Bible Say About Death

The short answer to this question is that the Bible says we literally die after death. We dont go to heaven or hell, or maintain any conscious state. Dead people sleep in unconsciousnessthey dont think or feel anything.

But the good news is that the sleep of death is not permanent. The Bible teaches there will be a resurrectiona restoration of life at a future time.

Lets now explore this answer in greater depth from the pages of the Bible.

We Won’t Become Angels

I’m often asked if people, particularly children, become angels when they die.

The answer is no.

Death is a relocation of the same person from one place to another. The place changes, but the person remains the same. The same person who becomes absent from his or her body becomes present with the Lord . We won’t be angels but we’ll be with them.

Facts About Heaven That Will Surprise You

Who Will Go To Heaven According To The Bible? (Jesus is the way)

by Randy Alcorn on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 3:02 PM

In heaven, we’ll embrace God’s holiness and justice. God will be our source of joy. But will we miss things from earth? Will we become angels? Will we work? Author Randy Alcorn answers some of the common questions we all have about heaven.

When I anticipate my first glimpse of heaven, I remember the first time I went snorkeling.

I saw countless fish of every shape, size and color. Just when I thought I’d seen the most beautiful fish, along came one even more striking. Etched in my memory is the sound of a gasp going through my snorkel as my eyes were opened to a breathtaking underwater world.

As believers, I imagine our first glimpse of heaven will cause us to gasp in a similar waywith amazement and delight. That first gasp will likely be followed by many more as we continually encounter new sights in that endlessly wonderful place.

Though most of us are in no hurry to get to our final destination, we all have questions about it. After in-depth study of the Scriptures, here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:12, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

2nd Thessalonians 1:8, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 20:15,And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8, But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Jesus paid that price by dying on the cross and shedding His blood Christ was buried and bodily rose again the third day!Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1st Timothy 1:15, This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief.

We Will Have Work To Do

The idea of working in heaven is foreign to many people. Yet Scripture clearly teaches it. When God created Adam, he “took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it” . Work was part of the original Eden. It was part of a perfect human life.

God Himself is a worker. He didn’t create the world and then retire. Jesus said, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working” . Jesus found great satisfaction in His work. “My food,’ Jesus said, is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work'” .

We’ll also have work to do, satisfying and enriching work that we can’t wait to get back to, work that’ll never be drudgery. God is the primary worker, and as His image-bearers, we’re made to work. We create, accomplish, set goals and fulfill themto God’s glory.

The Bible Is Clear On The Following:

After Jesus was raised from the dead, He went to heaven. The Bible says: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven” . Prior to this Jesus told His disciples: “In My Fathers house are many mansions if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself that where I am, there you may be also” .

Who Is In Heaven Right Now

Who went to heaven without dying in the Bible?

This question is not difficult to answer. God is in heaven because heaven is his dwelling place. The Lord Jesus has been in heaven ever since he ascended from the earth shortly after his resurrection . The Bible tells us that angels are in heaven. In fact there are myriads of angels-uncountable numbers of heavenly beings-all of them serving the Lord in various ways.

And the saints of God who died on this earth are in heaven. The Bible teaches that the moment we die we go directly into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul spoke of this in 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 and Philippians 1:21-23.

But I do not want to be ambiguous on this point. Not everyone is in heaven now. Some people won’t make it. The Bible speaks of the saved and the lost. The saved are those who trust Jesus Christ as their eternal Savior. The lost are those who do not trust Christ as Savior. This is the great dividing line of humanity-you are either saved or you are lost. And there is no middle category. You will either spend eternity in heaven or eternity in hell.

I simply want you to know what God has said about heaven and who will go there. The saved of all the ages will be there – and that vast throng will no doubt include many people who would surprise us if we knew it now. Certainly heaven will be more wonderful than our imagination and it’s population more diverse than we expect.

The Inescapable Problem Of Sin

Since Adam and Eve and the Fall, every human being has been born with a sinful nature. Our instincts are not toward goodness but are toward sin. We may think we are good, compared to others, but we are not holy.

If we look at the story of Israel in the Old Testament, we each see a parallel to the endless struggle in our own life: obeying God, disobeying God clinging to God, rejecting God. Eventually, we all backslide into sin. No one can meet God’s standard of holiness to get into heaven.

In Old Testament times, God addressed this problem of sin by commanding the Hebrews to sacrifice animals to atone for their sins:

“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar it is the blood that makes atonement for ones life.”

The sacrificial system involving the desert tabernacle and later the temple in Jerusalem was never meant to be a permanent solution to humanity’s sin. All of the Bible points to a Messiah, a coming Savior promised by God to deal with the problem of sin once and for all.

“When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.”

God’s great plan of salvation is based not on people being good because they can never be good enough but on the atoning death of Jesus Christ.

Biblical Description Of Heaven

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says, The things God has prepared for those who love him are revealed to us by his Spirit. To counter false, unbiblical notions, we need to study and meditate on words taught by the Spirit . Our eternal home is a real place where we will reside in real, physical bodies and where we will experience everlasting joys, rewards, and treasures .

God dwells there and the light of Jesus will permeate every corner of this place . Charles Spurgeon said, To the lover of Jesus it is very pleasant to observe how the Lord Jesus Christ has always stood foremost in glory from before the foundation of the world and will do so as long as eternity shall last.

We shall see the Lord face-to-face . The fact that our all-knowing, all-powerful Creator will dwell with us and we shall know him in an even more intimate way should be sufficient for the true Christian to rest assured that they will be satisfied there, but the Bible gives us many other glimpses of what this place will be like.

1. Eradication of evil. Jesus promised that when he returns, he will send out his angels to weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil, and then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father .

2. Perfect friendships. Think of all the Old Testaments saints or Christians down through history that you would like to meet Abraham, Moses, Hannah, the Apostle Paul, Hudson Taylor, Amy Carmichael, Jim Elliot, Corrie Ten Boom.

The Tree Of Life In Heaven

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations .

In a world that is riddled with sickness and disease, the description of the tree of life in Revelation 22 is a beautiful reminder that there will be no more suffering or pain in heaven.

The fruit of the tree, which will line the center of heavens golden street, will be continuously available in abundance. There will be no more searching for the cures of diseases known to man. Every ailment will be remedied by the leaves of the tree, and the nations will be healed once and for all.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God .

How Do You Go To Heaven

How to go to heaven according to the bible

Heaven is a gift to those who believe on Jesus Christ. You could never earn it or somehow deserve it. You must receive the gift of eternal life by faith in what Jesus has done. There is no other way.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Do you believe that Jesus Christ was Gods Son, came to the earth, was crucified for your sin and raised from the dead? If so, then confess that and receive salvation! Faith is that simple. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.

There is a popular teaching in the world that says people can get to Heaven through many different ways, but this is simply not true. This is a trick of the devil to keep people from being saved.

There is only one Name through which you can be saved from hell, and His Name is Jesus Christ.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Will Only 144 000 Go To Heaven

Jehovahs Witnesses believe that exactly 144,000 faithful Christians from Pentecost of 33 AD until the present day will be resurrected to heaven as immortal spirit beings to spend eternity with God and Christ. They believe that these people are anointedby God to become part of the spiritual Israel of God.

How Can I Be Sure I Am Going To Heaven

This is the most important question of all. Here is a wonderful truth: God has made it easy for you to go to heaven. He did the hard part when he sent his Son to die on the Cross for you. He paid the price for your sins so that you could one day stand before God in heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” . He also said, “I am the door if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved” . Jesus is not only the way to heaven, he is also the door to heaven. If you want to go to heaven, you’ve got to go through the door marked “Jesus Christ.” There is no other entrance.

Suppose you were to die and found yourself standing at the door of heaven. If God were to say, ‘Why should I let you into heaven?’ what answer would you give?

Picture the scene. You are standing at the very gates of heaven. It’s more beautiful than you ever dreamed possible. This is where you want to spend eternity. This is where you belong. But before you enter, the Lord himself asks what possible reason you have to claim admission. You pause, knowing that all eternity hangs on your answer. What will you say?

Let me make this very personal. If you were to die tonight, do you know for certain that you would go to heaven? I’ve already said that this is too important to say “I think so” or “I hope so.” If you’re wrong, you’re going to be wrong for a long, long time.

One of our most beloved hymns puts it this way:
