The lyrics have a strong biblical foundation based upon the blessing God gave through Aaron to pray over the people of Israel written in Numbers 6:24-26 and a number of other Old and New Testament references. The musical style is powerful with broad appeal and the visuals feature scenes from around the DMV. Based upon an original work The Blessing a 2020 GMA Dove Awards Worship Song of the Year winner by Elevation worship, Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes, the project boasts an original sound track and an accompanying spoken word piece, composed by Alysia Metallo, Creative Director.
