Park Avenue Church is a church with multiple worship styles united under the banner of Christ. We are One Church, Christ- Centered, and Spirit Led. Whether you’ve been following Christ for years, just started your faith journey, or have questions about Jesus, our goal is to come alongside you to deepen your relationship with Christ.

At Park Avenue, you’ll find a faith family that celebrates your victories, lifts you up in times of defeat, and challenges you to become a true disciple of Jesus. Park Avenue is located in the heart of Valdosta, GA.

Do you remember your favorite Christmas gift of all? Maybe it was when you were a child, or a gift you received later in life, but it has always been your favorite. Even now, when you think about it – that good feeling wells up inside you.

Christmas does something inside us, doesnt it? Somehow, we are taken back in time, and are once again filled with awe and wonder at the truth of the greatest gift well ever receive – the one that just means more than all the others. The Son of God was born in a manger. And, He came to save us from ourselves.

What Can I Expect From A United Methodist Church

As a United Methodist Church, we share many basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities.

These include what we believe about:

God. We believe in the Trinity, that God is revealed as three distinct persons in one. The Trinity is made of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus. We acknowledge and claim Jesus Christ as the authority in our lives. We believe that He was born of a virgin, and was both fully God and fully man. Jesus Christ was the human incarnation of God on Earth- the prophesied Chosen One who brought salvation to all people. Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His later resurrection, there is victory over sin and death.

The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God present in the lives of the church, providing us with guidance, comfort, and strength. We believe that the touch of the Spirit is very personal, and that it is even more evident in the loving interactions of God’s people.

Human Beings. We believe that all human beings were created by God, in His own image. We can all choose to either accept or reject a personal relationship with God, but that relationship is necessary to be fully human.

The Church. The Churchis the body of Christ, and it is our mission to make disciples for the transformation of the world. We are called to worship God, and to support those who are growing in faith.
