Its been said that there are 365 Fear nots in the Bible, one Fear not for every day of the yearactually there are more than 365 Fear nots in the Bible! Thank God because we need to be reminded to Fear not and trust God every day.
Many people say, Its a nice thought to say that there are 365 Fear nots in the Bible, but its not true. Indeed, there is not a version of the Bible that 365 times says, quote unquote, Fear not. For instance, the King James Version says Fear not or Be not afraid 103 times, but not 365 times.
So why do I say that there are more than 365 Fear nots in the Bible?
Fear is spoken of over 500 times in the KJV. Furthermore, in addition to the Fear nots many times its saying Fear God, which really means reverence God alone and do not fear anyone or anything else. Expanding the search to look at verses encouraging us not to worry or not to be anxious would add many, many more Fear not Scriptures. This is why I say that there are more than 365 Fear nots in the Bible.

Gods Command To Fear Not
God says Do not fear hundreds of times throughout the Bible. But what does that mean? Was my 7th-grade-self sinning? Are you wrong to feel fear when youre not sure how to pay next months rent or when you get that dire health diagnosis or when your job is on the line?
No. Youre not wrong. God wired our brains to experience fear. It is a primary emotion. There is a reason and purpose for our fear as we respond to triggering stimuli. When God says, Do not fear he is not commanding us to shut off a part of our brain. His model citizen isnt an emotionless and stoic robot.
The real issue God wants us to wrestle with is where we go when we fear. Where do you go with your fears? How do you deal with them?
Simply put, God wants us to come to him. Fear can paralyze us. Yet when we fear in the presence of God, God help us take the next step of faith even in the midst of our fear! Unfortunately, no one will be able to escape fear in this sinful and broken world. It is real. It can be paralyzing. It is powerful.
But God is more powerful.
He has the power and desire to be with us in the midst of our fears. Remembering this will enable to us to take the next step of faithfulness in our lives. How? Because God is with us. We can continue to fight to believe Jesus is more in and through our fears thanks to his presence with us.
Fear Not: 15 Bible Verses About Overcoming Fear The Crossing Blog
Fear has a way of sneaking up on us when were not looking.Of course, theres a certain amount of horror we can expect when we take that yearly trip through one of the most haunted sites in America on Halloween or when we settle in with some popcorn to watch a frightening movie on Halloween night. When it comes to the other, more serious anxieties that we have, we are stuck.Watching a loved one through cancer treatment, or the possibility of losing a job, suffering a miscarriage, or being involved in a vehicle accident are all examples of stressors.
Because our brains are capable of concocting anything that is potentially frightening, some of it reasonable and some of it irrational, there is no limit to what our minds can come up with.In any case, we may find hope and an anchor in the midst of the storm that is our fear in Jesus, who has a lot to say about fear in the Bible. In the Bible, the phrase Worry not is frequently used as a reminder since we are sometimes forgetful and we can try to envision the future before it has really occurred, which can lead to a great deal of fear and anxiety.Jesus tells us that we may put our faith in God because he is a loving and caring parent.

The morning sun shone through my windshield, warming my face as I drove east on I-64. Had it not been for where I was going and why, I might have been rather dazzled by this unseasonably warm Jan. 13 morning. Instead of todays 56 degrees, we usually have snow, sometimes of blizzard proportions on this date.
I know this because I have a good friend who complains every year that she cant go anywhere on her birthday because there is always a blizzard!
The traffic was light, as it was now 9:40 a.m., long past the time for most employed people to report to work. You might say it was the mid-morning lull.
I pulled into the parking garage, parked my car and walked across the street to the hospital. As I neared the double glass doors that led to a long hall and the hub of the hospital, butterflies swarmed in my stomach as never before.
Life-threatening illness.
I always walked quickly past these doors, looking straight ahead like a young child hurrying past a cemetery at night therefore I hadnt really seen the words written on them until today. I didnt like to acknowledge them except to say to myself or to whoever accompanied me, I hope none of my loved ones ever has to go inside one of these rooms.
I was terrified. Nauseated.
A very special friend offered these words:

How Many Times Does The Bible Mention Worry

Are you sure? I haven’t counted, but it’s been stated that the phrase “fear not” appears 365 times in the Bible. They instruct, exhort, and implore us “not to be scared.” Worry is one of those fears that we are told not to have.
Jesus said, “Do not be afraid”. He didn’t say, “Don’t be worried” or “Stop being scared.” His command was not a soft word to use when we wanted him to do something he really shouldn’t have done. It was a hard word to obey when we were facing danger. Jesus came to save us from our fear, not lead us further into it.
So if you’re like me and find yourself wondering how many times worry is mentioned in the Bible, know that God’s people have gone ahead of us to record for us what color clothes we should wear on Sunday morning, but they also wrote about wars and rumors of wars, pestilences and earthquakes .
