Is The Bible Man Made

Instead Of Worrying To Death I Did This Instead

The Holy Bible: Man Made ? Or Inspired By God ? ( Practical Knowledge )

I sat in my living room and started to pray.

God, I want to believe in You, but Im struggling so badly with believing in the Bible.

Please help me to know that You are real, and help me with knowing the truth about the Bible.

That night, I went to my church.

When the service started, someone came on stage and made the following announcement.

Sorry, but Pastor Steve will not be with us tonight .

So instead, were blessed to have a guest speaker with us. Its Pastor Charlie Campbell from Always Be Ready Ministries.

The next sentence that came out of this persons mouth is what floored me.

And tonight, Pastor Charlie will be sharing a message titled, Can We Trust the Bible?’

That night, I heard Pastor Charlies amazing message about why we can trust the Bible.

It was the perfect answer to my prayer!

Wow, God is real! I thought to myself.

Truth be told, even after that night, I continued to battle with doubts about the Bible.

So I bought a couple of books on the subject that helped me out tremendously.

In case youd like to check them out, the books that I bought were:

Hey Listen I Want You To Remember The Acronym Famous

As I was putting this article together, I created an acronym that will help you remember my points about why I think the Bible is divine.

The acronym is based on Pastor Charlies sermon that I heard that night.

However, Ive modified it and tweaked it to make it my own.

So if youve ever wondered why is it that the Bible is so famous, then you can get your answer by remembering this acronym:

F Faithful Prophecies

What Do You Believe About The Bible

Do you or someone you know doubt that the Bible is a divine book?

Then welcome to the doubters club!

I was once a member too

Whether you believe that the Bible is a book full of errors or whether you think its from God, its important that you know these points that Ill be making in this article.

Thats because if youre searching for:

  • meaning
  • purpose
  • happiness in life

Similarities To Other Stories

The similarities between the stories and characters in the Bible and those from previous mythologies are both undeniable and well-documented. This would be obvious if it werent for early indoctrination of these beliefs into children, which usually makes them unassailable as adults.

In this short piece Ill attempt to show extraordinary similarities with regard to two of the most important Biblical narratives: the Genesis story and the character of Jesus Christ.

Reason #5 Unanimous Coherence

What does it mean that man is created in Gods image ?

I want you to imagine that you and I are at a party.

As we are enjoying ourselves at this party, all of a sudden, somebody walks in with a mask on his face, and with a whole bunch of people who are also masked.

The man, who is also holding a gun, says, Okay everybody, put your hands up, and take your wallets out!

Obviously, this man and his gang are there to rob us of our wallets.

After the robbery, the police come, and they start taking the eyewitness testimony of all of the guests.

How many versions of the robbery do you think the detectives are going to get?

The answer is a lot!

One person might report the color of the leading gang members clothes to be one color, while somebody else will say that he was wearing a different color.

Some people will say that he had a gun while other people will say that he had a knife.

We know that were going to get a whole bunch of different stories.

Yet, this isnt the case with the Bible.

Even though you have many different authors who are reporting about individual events, all of their reports are coherent.

That doesnt mean they are identical, but it does mean that they are in agreement.

Now some skeptics like to point out supposed contradictions in eyewitness testimony between the different Gospels.

However, these skeptics dont go very deep to understand what the contradictions mean, and why they are there in the Bible.

Is The Bible A Made Up Book Or Is It A Book Made By God

Peter Guirguis

On a mid-July afternoon in 2006, I sat on the couch in my living room watching TV, sweating up a storm, and biting my lips.

Just three days before, I was an atheist.

But now, I had become a Christian, and my biggest fear was unfolding on the TV in front of me.

You see, I was raised in a Christian family, but when I was in high school and college, some bad things happened to my family.

These bad circumstances caused me to believe that everything I was taught about God being real was false.

So over several months, I became an atheist.

During that time of atheism, I also stopped believing in the Bible.

I believed that the Bible was a book made up by a bunch of ignorant authors who made tons of mistakes.

The fact that millions of Christians believed in such a book full or errors just spoke of Christians ignorance, and their blindness to see the truth.

But then God did some things in my life that made me believe in Him again.

So even though I had become a re-Christian, I had a hurdle that I just couldnt jump over. The Bible is a human-made book that is full of errors, and that has tons of contradictions.

This one day that Im telling you about, I was sitting in my living room watching a special show on TV.

There was an expert who was being interviewed on the show.

This expert was talking about how the Bible is a myth, and how it was created during an era where legends were the norm of the day.

What if its true, the Bible is wrong?

The Faith Of A Gentile Is Rewarded

24-27 Then he got up and left that place and went off to the neighbourhood of Tyre. There he went into a house and wanted no one to know where he was. But it proved impossible to remain hidden. For no sooner had he got there, than a woman who had heard about him, and who had a daughter possessed by an evil spirit, arrived and prostrated herself before him. She was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she asked him to drive the evil spirit out of her daughter. Jesus said to her, You must let the children have all they want first. It is not right, you know, to take the childrens food and throw it to the dogs.

28 But she replied, Yes, Lord, I know, but even the dogs under the table eat what the children leave.

29 If you can answer like that, Jesus said to her, you can go home! The evil spirit has left your daughter.

30 And she went back home and found the child lying quietly on her bed, and the evil spirit gone.

The Africans Who Wrote The Bible

Is Bible A Man Made Book ? Answered By Top Bible Scholar , Bart Ehrman

Here, Nana Banchie Darkwah, a native Ghanaian scholar and historian, traces the roots of the stories in the bible to ancient history of the Akan people who reside in modern day Ghana whom are descendants of the ancient Egyptians. Using oral history, written history, migration patterns, culture and language, Darkwah shows and proves that the biblical Israelite story derived from Akan peoples folklore. Interpretations Of The Creation Story

There are various interpretations of the biblical creation story. Different Christians have different beliefs, depending on their denomination and on their personal beliefs:

  • Literal Some Christians interpret the creation stories in Genesis literally. For these Christians, God dictated the Bible and the events it describes happened exactly as written.
  • Inspirational Other Christians believe that the Bible was inspired by God but that the text was created by people. Because people make mistakes, there could be human errors in the text of the Bible. Therefore, its stories can be interpreted in many ways. For example, these Christians might question the duration of a day in Genesis. In this context, the word day could actually mean an era.
  • Metaphorical Some Christians believe that the stories are metaphors or symbolic descriptions. These Christians accept scientific theories about the origins of the universe, such as the Big Bang theory.

Was The Bible Simply Written By Men

Is the Bible the inspired Word of God, or was it simply written by men? Do you know how to respond to this question?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The Mythology Of The First Civilization

Civilization first began in Mesopotamia over five thousand years ago, and the Sumerians are credited as the inventors. They built the first cities that ever existed, with populations in the tens of thousands made possible through their development of large-scale year-round agriculture.

Throughout the rise of civilization the Sumerians became talented builders. They also created the first government, the first laws, arithmetic, astronomy/astrology, the wheel, sailboats, frying pans, razors, harps, kilns for firing bricks and pottery, bronze hand tools, and plows, to name just a few.

Not long after large-scale agriculture first began, a crude form of writing was developed out of the need to keep records of labor and materials. Another first accredited to the Sumerians. Over the centuries that followed, writing became more advanced and they began to record stories passed down through generations that explained how their people came up with all of these ideas that would forever change the human race. The funny thing is, these stories didn’t give credit to their ancestors. They claim they were taught by immortal human-like gods.

The Heart Of The Matter

What does the Bible say about marriage?

In other words, all these “man-made rules that have nothing to do with what Christ taught” actually flow from the heart of Christ’s teaching. Christ gave us the Church to teach and to guide us she does so, in part, by telling us what we have to do in order to keep growing spiritually. And as we grow spiritually, those “man-made rules” begin to make a lot more sense, and we want to follow them even without being told to do so.

When we were young, our parents reminded us constantly to say “please” and “thank you,””yes, sir,” and “no, ma’am” to open doors for others to let someone else take the last piece of the pie. Over time, such “man-made rules” became second nature, and now we would think ourselves rude to fail to act as our parents taught us. The Precepts of the Church and other “man-made rules” of Catholicism act in the same way: They help us to grow into the kind of men and women that Christ wants us to be.

Jesus Exposes The Danger Of Man

7 1-5 And now Jesus was approached by the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem. They had noticed that his disciples ate their meals with common handsmeaning that they had not gone through a ceremonial washing. So the Pharisees and the scribes put this question to Jesus, Why do your disciples refuse to follow the ancient tradition, and eat their bread with common hands?

6-8 Jesus replied, You hypocrites, Isaiah described you beautifully when he wroteThis people honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. You are so busy holding on to the traditions of men that you let go the commandment of God!

9-13 Then he went on, It is wonderful to see how you can set aside the commandment of God to preserve your own tradition! For Moses said, Honour your father and your mother and He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death. But you say, if a man says to his father or his mother, Korbanmeaning, I have given God whatever duty I owed to you, then he need not lift a finger any longer for his father or mother, so making the word of God invalid for the sake of the tradition which you hold. And this is typical of much of what you do.

17 Later, when he had gone indoors away from the crowd, his disciples asked him about this parable.

The Bible Is Confirmed Through Gods Challenge To Other Religions

Throughout Isaiah 4046, God, speaking through the prophet, repeatedly challenges the false gods to prove themselves. Specifically, He challenges them to tell the future and bring it to pass.

Present your case, says the Lord. Bring forth your strong reasons, says the King of Jacob. Let them bring forth and show us what will happen let them show the former things, what they were, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them or declare to us things to come. Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods.

So here is the test for the other religions of the world. Can they accurately foretell future events? After all, only the all-knowing, all-powerful Creator knows everything that will happen and has the ability to bring it to pass. And God has established His righteous character through this unique ability. In Isaiah 41:26, the Lord asks, Who has declared from the beginning, that we may know? And former times, that we may say, He is righteous?

Most of the founders of the worlds religions never attempted to tell the future.7 Outside of the Bible, the other holy books of the world do not really include prophecies. The vague predictions of Nostradamus and demonstrably false prognostications of Edgar Cayce do not meet the biblical standard of 100 percent accuracy for a prophet .

Now take a look at what God says about His own ability in this area:

Evidences That Confirm The Bible Is Not Made Up

We occasionally receive the following question: How do you know the Bible isnt just made up?

Surely, even the most ardent skeptic will have a difficult time believing that the entire Bible was just made up since many of its details are corroborated by archaeology and in other historical writings. So lets look at three aspects of the Bible taken together to explain how we know it wasnt simply made up.

Reason #2 Archaeological Confirmations

“The Bible is Man Made” False!!!

There have been thousands of archaeological artifacts that have confirmed the accuracy of the Bible.

Dont get me wrong Im not saying that just because an archaeological artifact was found, then that means that Bible is true.

But what I am saying is that these archaeological artifacts that have been found do confirm over and over again that the Bible is historically accurate.

Here are some of the archaeological artifacts that have been found so far.

Artifact #1 Yahweh ebaot Inscription

This limestone inscription from a burial cave in Judah c. 800750 B.C.E. is written in Paleo-Hebrew script and reads, Cursed be Hagaf son of Hagab by Yahweh ebaot.

The phrase Yahweh ebaot, often translated as Lord of Hosts, appears over two hundred times in the Hebrew Bible, especially in prophetic books such as Isaiah and Jeremiah.

The museums inscription is perhaps the earliest non-Biblical evidence for this name. The name Hagab, which means grasshopper, also appears in Ezra 2:46.

Artifact #2 The Quadrilingual Darius I Jar

Darius I of Persia, also known as Darius the Great, is mentioned in the Biblical books of Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Daniel.
