The Four Living Creatures

UFOs in the Bible THE UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH Alien UFO Documentary

The four living creatures were not space people from some remote planet rather, they are identified as heavenly cherubim! Note Ezekiels own explanation:

And the cherubim mounted up this is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar .

Cherubim were an order of angelic beings in Jehovahs service. For example, they were used by the Lord to guard the entrance to Eden after Adam and Eves transgression . Cherubim figures were mounted on opposite ends of the mercy seat atop the ark of the covenant within the most holy place of the tabernacle .

In Ezekiels vision, each cherub had four facesman, lion, ox, and eagle. Jewish tradition interpreted this as follows:

Man is exalted among creatures the eagle is exalted among birds, the ox is exalted among domestic animals the lion is exalted among the wild beasts: and all of them have received dominion, and greatness has been given them, yet they are stationed below the chariot of the Holy One .

This is doubtless a symbolic representation of Jehovahs supremacy and sovereignty over the entire creation! There is not the remotest connection with space aliens.

  • What Is A Ufo

The term UFO is an abbreviation for unidentified flying object. The only requirement to be classified or defined as a UFO is that an object must be flying and not be readily identifiable as a known flying object, such as a bird or aircraft.

While that is the technical use of the term, the colloquial sense is often associated with an extraterrestrial aircraft being piloted, either directly or remotely, by alien lifeforms. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, an officer in the U.S. Air Force claims to have invented the term in 1957 to replace the term flying saucer, which had been in use since the 1940s.

Because of the connotation of UFO, the U.S. Department of Defense uses unidentified aerial phenomena.

When Jesus spoke about the last days, He said that certain signs would make it clear His return is near. What are those signs? And are they evident today? As a Jewish-native Israeli who is a Christian, Amir Tsarfati has a distinct perspective that weaves biblical history, current events, and Bible prophecy together to shine light on the mysteries about the end times. From his vantage point at the epicenter of todays religious conflict and through careful Bible study, Tsarfati points to Scripture passages that inform us the return of the Lord is imminent.

UFOs in the Bible Inexplicable events in the sacred scriptures

Many ufologists believe the stories in the Bible that describe angelic visits or supernatural visions are really biblical encounters of the third kind. They point to Enoch in Genesis 5:24 as the first recorded alien abduction in the Scriptures because it says, Enoch walked faithfully with God then he was no more, because God took him away.

These same UFO enthusiasts also say that the vision of Ezekiel in the first chapter of his prophetic book sounds very similar to the same types of unusual spacecraft people from all over the world claim to have seen in the night sky. Ezekiel writes that he saw four living creatures flying in the air in some kind of aircraft which he describes as spinning wheels of light . In verse twenty-four he says he heard a deafening roaring sound as the creatures and the wheels moved overhead like flashes of lightning. Ezekiel claims this vision was none other than the Lord Himself coming down from heaven , but some read this eye-witness account and marvel at the similarities between Ezekiels description and what other people claim are alien encounters.

Then there is the abduction account in 2 Kings 2 of a chariot of fire that comes down out of the sky and snatches the prophet Elijah away to Heaven. 2 Kings 2:11 says, As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Does The Existence Of Aliens Negate The Truth Of Christianity

Existence of aliens would not negate the truth of Christianity. Jesus is the only way to salvation. We are made in the image of God. The Lord is the Creator of all. The Bible is God-breathed and useful to us. If for some reason God made aliens somewhere else, then that is up to His sovereignty. However, I believe that the lack of Scriptural support deems that theory highly unlikely.

Would Meeting Aliens Change Our Understanding Of The Incarnation

Central to Christianity is the incarnation of Jesus Christ as fully God and fully human. If God created intelligent species on other planets, would Christ have been incarnate in those species too? Or is the incarnation unique to Earth?

Some Christians see Christ as becoming incarnate in multiple races. C.S. Lewis uses this picture in his Narnia series. In The Last Battle, he portrays Aslan as parallel to Jesus on Earth, the same person incarnate in different species on different planets. Supporters of this view argue that the incarnation is an expression of Gods self-giving love for people he has made, and thus the incarnation is just as appropriate for aliens as it is for humans.

Other Christians see Christ as incarnate only in humans. Christianity emphasizes the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and describes his ascension and current heavenly reign in bodily form. Supporters of this view argue that the incarnation has cosmic implications and thus can only occur once. Moreover, a single person cannot become incarnate as multiple individuals without contradiction which nature would Christ have in heaven? God would still love other intelligent life, but would relate to aliens in ways different than he relates to humans. God could use other means to reveal himself and demonstrate his self-giving love.

While Christians disagree on this issue, both views uphold the incarnation of Jesus Christ on Earth and Gods character of self-giving love.

Bible Accounts That Could Be Interpreted As Ufos Or Aliens

Many will argue that the Bible, if it is to be taken in any way seriously, is all about interpretation. With that in mind, many who subscribe to the ancient astronaut theory in particular believe the Bible to be awash with UFO encounters and laced with interaction between human beings and extraterrestrials. Indeed, for them, it forms a lot of the basis for their theory.

While there is, of course, no proof to be offered to back up these claims, the interpretations and how they are pieced together are fascinating in their own right and certainly worth exploring, if only to ask the question: What if our ancestors really were describing encounters with intelligent beings not of this world?

What Ufos And Aliens Can Show Us About God’s Wonder

Exploring the possibility of intelligent life outside our home planet can inspire us with awe for God. As Jesus says in Matthew 19:26, with God all things are possible. There is always more to discover about our all-powerful Creator from studying creation. Not only are there no limits to Gods power, but there are also no limits to Gods love. 1 John 4:16 tells us: And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. God could have created and redeemed extraterrestrials along with human life. Gods power and love extend throughout the entire universe and all who live within it.

So far, scientists have estimated that there are more than 1 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. We havent yet discovered if other forms of life exist. But we can be sure that God has created and sustains everything and everyone. Colossians 1:15-17 declares that Jesus rules the entire universe and all that is in it: The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together. Learning more about UFOS and aliens can motivate us to seek God, who is at the head of the whole universe.

We Can Celebrate All Life That God Chooses To Create

God is free to create however he likes. Just as we celebrate all life on Earth as Gods creation, so we can celebrate whatever alien life we might discover. We can be curious explorers, grounded in the knowledge of God as the loving Creator. Christians can encourage scientists in their study of the origin of life on Earth and the search for life on other worlds. We can encourage theologians to ponder the implications of such discoveries before they happen.

All truth is Gods truth, wherever it may be found. Lets explore Gods creation with curiosity, with humility to learn, and with care and respect for any life beyond Earth that we may meet.

Are Ufos And Aliens Mentioned In The Bible

UFO, also known as flying saucer, refers to objects of unknown origin, floating and flying in the sky. Beginning in the 1940s, luminous disk aircraft were discovered in the sky over the United States. The newspapers at the time called it an oval luminous In fact, this was the beginning of interest in this kind of UFO at that time, and later UFO reports began to be published all over the world.

However, the concept of aliens is considered to be inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible, because in Isaiah chapter 45, verse 18, God created the universe and everything has a purpose, and God created the earth for human habitation. Other planets have completely different purposes than the earth. They are not designed to be inhabited by aliens. Therefore, from the biblical point of view, life in outer space should be unreasonable. But there are also people who have different opinions. These people are trying to explain some unknown phenomena in the Bible and connect them with aliens and UFOs.

Astronomers are discovering thousands of planets in orbit around other stars. They now estimate that there are billions of Earth-like planets in our galaxy. Could intelligent life be living on some of those planets? This is the subject of much scientific speculation and entertaining science fiction. While we havent yet detected signs of alien life, what would such a discovery mean for Christians?

Some atheists claim the discovery of aliens would destroy organized religion or invalidate the Bible. However, a survey of religious people found that most are comfortable with the idea of intelligent aliens and do not see it threatening their beliefs. Astronauts such as John Glenn actually found their trip to space to bring them closer to God and to a deeper faith. The Bible is still relevant in the space age it makes claims far beyond the people and places of Earth, describing God as the Creator of all life and the entire cosmos. Yet many questions remain.

    Visions Of Godnot Ufos

Rather than relating to mysterious outer-space UFOs, these visions were breathtaking glimpses of the glory of Almighty God. Indeed, verses one and twenty-eight stand like guardian sentinels at the beginning and end of the chapter to prevent fanatical speculation as to the meaning of the narrative.

In the first verse, the prophet says:

    I saw visions of God.

In the final verse he concludes:

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah.

Ufos In The Bible Retired Pastor Says So

Retired Endwell pastor Rev. Barry Downing was asked if he feels like a modern-day prophet.

No, but I feel rejected. Does that qualify me? he said with a chuckle.

Since his first book, The Bible and Flying Saucers, was published in 1968, Downing has been putting forth an argument that many biblical events may have connections to UFOs. But its not been accepted warmly in all circles.

In a new book just out in September, Biblical UFO Revelations, Downing offered an update with words for 2017.

I believe UFOs are Gods way of saying to our godless culture: Im back! And if God is back, it is time to repent and be glad that the world lives under the umbrella of Gods love, with his angels looking over us, he writes.

Downing goes on to question whether the church has the eyes to see, to open the church doors to welcome our UFO strangers, or will we continue to be unaware?

From my point of view what we have here now in the skies, theyre part of the divine mission, he said in an interview.

And although hes never seen an UFO, Downing believes in them.

I believe by faith, in the same way I believe in the resurrection of Jesus by faith. I believe the reports,” he said. Except, I can question witnesses, which is even better than in the case of the resurrection.

Downing said his cousin once saw a tear-drop-shaped UFO fly slowly over her house on night. He said there was no noise until it stopped, then hummed.

    Maybe, Downing thinks.
