Do Dogs And Cats Have Souls Bible
Again, the Bible reveals that animals have a soul, God loves them, and they will all be a part of the coming kingdom of God as they are not subject to the final judgment like humans. Most of all, animals do not only show traits like loyalty and intelligence, but they also love.
Dogs Seem To Stop Being Existent After Their Death
This means once they die, religion does not mention places like dog heaven or hell which stems from the point that for animals and plants in general there is no exact moral way of living.
Once they die, they simply stop existing, at least for us which is why they dont get prayers from religious leaders to take their souls into a better place.
All the above is why the souls of dogs and other living organisms are deemed as materialistic souls.
Below is why human souls are considered more valuable and more spiritual as compared to the rest:
A human soul is said to be spiritual because of the ability to discern between emotions such as love and some aspects such as wisdom.
This simply means that the spirituality of our souls is explained by the ability to choose to love and to be caring all at the same time when using logic as the base of most of your judgment as compared to dogs.
Ahuman spirit is also said to be immortal because it is meant to remain forever whether by going to either hell or heaven or in some cases purgatory.
This is because the human spirit is said to not decompose at any point in time.
The human body is quite easy to decompose as compared to its soul which is now spiritual.
Restoration Is The Thing: Bible Verses Discussing Restoration Of Creation
The Bible mentions this restoration of Creation all throughout.
- Acts 3:19-21“Repent then, and turn, to have your sins wiped out that a time may come when the Lord refreshes you and sends Jesus, Whom He appointed to be your Savior and Whom heaven had to receive until the time when everything will be restored, as God said long ago by His holy prophets.”
- Revelation 21:1“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth has passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”
- 2 Peter 3:10-13“But the day of the Lord will come like a theif, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are going to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt in intense heat! But according to His promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

Cats, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and other pets are all part of God’s creation that will be restored in heaven.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”

Do Animals Have Souls What The Bible Says
The soul is a concept used primarily by people of faith. It is the part of us that continues to live eternally after death. It animates the body and is the seat of consciousness and willpower. A body cannot live without a soul. It can also be described as energy which, according to modern physics, cannot be destroyed but can only change form.
The belief in a soul separates believers from atheists who deny its existence and consequently life after death. For them, life is solely related to the physical body even though that does not explain consciousness, why or how life, much less anything at all, exists. An illustration of this is when a new human being comes into existence at conception. Scientists can only observe and describe the process. The deeper questions lie outside the realm of scientific knowledge because humans cannot create life. We are only conduits for it. God is the Author of life and the eternal Creator of everything including physical laws.
The Bible speaks about the soul right away in Genesis. There are two creation accounts that some think are different stories while others believe that the second story is an elaboration of the first. Here I will focus on the second story in Genesis 2:7. It says, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
Animals are also part of the coming kingdom of God. Isaiah 11:6-9 says,
Heaven Is Better Than We Know
When you picture heaven, what is it that you see? Do you think of streets of gold and of beholding Jesus face to face? Do you think of seeing loved ones that have passed on? Or maybe the promises of Revelation 21:4 come to mind, There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.
No matter the picture you see, it is limited to the abilities of the human mind to imagine something that is entirely of God. Even our best guess of the kinds of joy heaven holds cant come close to what it will really be like.
1 Corinthians 13:12 puts it this way, For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror then we shall see face to face. Seeing the reflection of your children in the mirror is nothing in comparison to picking them up, swirling them around and holding them close to your chest. In the same way, our experience of heaven will be infinitely better than our small thoughts of what it may be like.

Do Dogs Have Souls From Protestant Perspective
To get the protestant perspective on the do dogs have souls question, we need to make reference to the bible.
What does the Bible say about dogs souls, if anything?
Do dogs have souls according to the bible? We saw Ecclesiastes 3:21 talking about the spirits of beasts and which go downwards while mens go upwards.
This we can take to mean that beasts like dogs have souls.
Their souls may not exactly be like humans. But they do have souls.
At least that is the inference we make.
What applies to dogs in this context should also apply to cats, as they are both beasts.
Thus the answer to the do cats and dogs have souls question would be yes.
We may take it further, and ask, do dogs have souls when they die?
The scripture we made reference to, in Ecclesiastes 3:21 talks about the spirits of men going upwards, while those of animals go downwards.
From this, one can make inference on where do dogs go when they die. It brings the possibility of there being an afterlife for them.
The Beasts That Perish
I really want to emphasize the utter distinction between humans and animals like the Bible does. Animals are different from us and are conceived in the Bible as not having unique capacities that allow them have a personal relationship with God. They cant have it the way we have it.
You can hear this in Psalm 32:9: Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle. In other words, when the psalmist wants to illustrate the loss of a distinctive thinking capacity of the human being, he uses animals as the illustration.
Man doesnt merely perish, but has a future beyond life here. But beasts simply perish.
They dont have it. Animals are unlike man in that they simply perish. There is no thought of them being in the realm of the dead in Sheol, like humans with some future. There was always the sense in the Old Testament even though it didnt have the clearest vision of eternal life there was always the impulse in biblical faith, Old and New Testament, that man would not merely perish, but would have a future beyond life here. But beasts simply perish .

Why Did God Create Cats
The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration. And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cats eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.
Only Humans Have A Soul
Because we are uniquely created in the image of God, we are the only residents of earth that have a soul. Our soul is the inner part of us that is indwelled by the Holy Spirit. It is the part of us that is more than just flesh and bone. The part of us that we cant completely understand or describe, but that we know exists.
When a soul that has been saved by belief and confession of Christ dies, it goes to heaven where God gives it a new, perfected body to house it . Ecclesiastes 12:7 says, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. We have the Spirit of God in us, and it is our spirit that returns to God in heaven. Animals dont have this spirit and therefore, we are making a stronger case that they are not in heaven.
At this point, our conclusion seems to be very heavily leaning towards animals, including our beloved pets, not finding a residence in heaven after they die. But we cant end here, theres one more of Scripture that cant be ignored.

The Spirit Looks Like The Body It Is From
2 Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, such an one caught up to the third heaven.
Judging from 2Cor 12:2, if a person has an out of body experience, their spirit looks like their body . This is to say that when a spirit leaves a body, to doesnt look like an animal, a cartoon ghost without legs, or a bright ball of light it just looks like whatever the body looked like that it came from.
Luke 16:23-24 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am tormented in this flame.
In hell, the rich mans spirit had eyes, had a tongue, Lazarus spirit had fingers, Abraham had a bosom This implies a full human spirit body.
What Is A Soul
To define what is a soul, I will use a human perspective. As humans we are comprised of three parts, body, soul, and spirit. Here is an example of this from Scripture.
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ .
Your body is your physical shell, and your spirit is the part of you that allows you to connect and commune with God. Your soul is where your mind, will, and emotions live. I found a wonderful description of the soul from a Bibles for America post, that I want to share with you.
Our soul is our personality, who we are. With our soul we think, reason, consider, remember, and wonder. We experience emotions like happiness, love, sorrow, anger, relief, and compassion. And were able to resolve, choose, and make decisions.
Using this as a backdrop, lets now apply this to animals.

The Do Dogs Have Souls Debate: The Answer To This Question Is Shocking
People who are devoted to dogs will say that they do have a soul. That is exactly what this guy said when asked by the host of Our Dogs Have Souls The Movie, which aired on Nat Geo Wild and YouTube in November 2013.
Host Phil McGraw ferociously argued against this while multiple captive wolves and adult dogs were playing at his feet.
Dogs are mans best friends. They are our loyal companions, caretakers for children, and good alarms against intruders.
We feed them scraps from the table, pet them to sleep, and snuggle up to them on cold winter nights. So do dogs have souls?
The answer is no! Dogs do not have souls because they are not alive like humans. They dont have a mind or a body that can be alive.
You cannot kill a dogs soul because it doesnt exist in the first place!
Do Dogs Have Souls And Go To Heaven
Your pet dog does not need to go through all trials and tribulations of humans.
You can be sure that if your dog has accumulated enough good karma, it will get into heaven one day even after you die or before dying as long as the animal did what is right in life!
Although there are many who think they do have souls including cats and birds this belief cannot be proven true by science likewise a lot of spiritual books claim the same thing.
Do pets go to heaven?
No matter which pet you will die with or what kind of pet would start out your next one they all need to be good members of society while living on Earth because they are considered part human beings just as much like a human being.
But all pets whether they are good or bad will go to heaven when their time comes.
The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have souls or whether pets/animals will be in heaven.
However, many who believe animals have souls point to various biblical verses and the teachings of saints as proof that all animals go to heaven.
These references are not definitive in discussing souls/animal afterlife rather they decide whether or not death should be considered a separation from God.
So while St Augustine did speak often on being certain that every living thing had a soul, and later John Paul II also discussed the soul, currently no credible Roman Catholic leader has backed this soul doctrine.

Do Dogs Have A Spirit Or Soul
Numerous studies in Spiritual Psychology shows that dogs do indeed have souls, and once a dog bonds to a human, its soul attaches to the humans soul and upon death, goes where the human soul goes. They imply that animals may have the breath of life, but not an immortal soul in the same sense as mans.
What Does God Say About Dogs
Revelation 22:15: For without dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Philippians 3:2: Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. Proverbs 26:11: As a dog returneth to his vomit, a fool returneth to his folly.Dec 12, 2014.

Heaven Is For Those Who Are Saved
There is only one way to enter heaven and it is through Jesus Christ . Anyone who believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved . Whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but will have everlasting life .
Based on these verses alone we can start to form a conclusion. Heaven will only be good and full of every kind of joy, so whether we see animals there or not, we will not feel sorrow, grief or longing for what was on earth.
We also see that admission to heaven is granted to those who believe and confess Christ these are two things animals cannot do. Jesus never once in all his ministry made an effort to bring salvation to an animal. In fact, in , he actually allowed a legion of demons to enter a herd of pigs, which led to their death. But we have a few more passages of Scripture to search before we reach our final conclusion.
What Does The Bible Say About Being Kind To Animals
man has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked are cruel. This important verse suggests a Biblical division of people into two distinct types those who are righteous and just are kind to their animals, and those who are wicked and are cruel to creatures under their care. .

Do Dogs Have A Favorite Person
Dogs often choose a favorite person who matches their own energy level and personality. In addition, some dog breeds are more likely to bond with a single person, making it more likely that their favorite person will be their only person. Breeds that tend to bond strongly to one person include: Basenji.
God Created Dogs And All Animals For A Good Purpose
The creation of all animals happened on days five and six of creation. Sea animals and birds were created on day five and God said they were good. Land animals were created on day six, the same day that humans were created. Maybe this was symbolic of the special relationship people would have with the animals that walk the same ground they do? We cant be sure, but its possible.
Ultimately, God created animals to be ruled over by humans. Animals are a gift and responsibility for men to steward, they arent equals to men in the eyes of God.
