God Disciplines You To Help You Learn Because He Loves You

The Man Who Fought With God – One Of The Greatest Stories In The BIble

My child, dont reject the LORDs discipline, and dont be upset when He corrects you. For the LORD corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.

Though people often associate discipline with punishment, this verse shows us that Gods discipline is more about training and teaching. That is why Jesus followers were called disciples, or people who follow a teacher.

When you follow Jesus, you become His disciple. In the process of learning from Jesus, some lessons will be hard or even feel like punishment. But God is not out to punish you or hurt you. He is trying to teach you. Your choices have consequences, and God usually allows you to experience those consequences. Facing hard things and overcoming them is one of the best ways to learn.

Dont let yourself get dragged down by hardships or isolate yourself from God and others. Instead, turn to God for help and discover what He is teaching you in the process.

What Is Biblical Creation

Biblical creation is based on the Bible where God created the universe and everything in it as described in Genesis . The Creator did not need matter, large amounts of time, energy, or anything else. He created out of nothing in six literal normal-length days about six thousand years ago.

Biblical creation is not compatible with the belief that the world just happened through an extended, naturalistic, and chance process over many billions of years. Biblical creation upholds the Bible as Gods eyewitness account of actual creation events since God was the only one there to observe what happened at the very beginning.

In addition, biblical creationists do not view the Bible or the book of Genesis as a mythological or allegorical document. Instead, the Bible is rightly considered a historical document that records what actually happened and is the only true and real history.

The Bible teaches God created the universe. In multiple verses in both the Old and New Testaments, it is clear that God created everything that was made. Here is a small listing :

Biblical revelation is the key for understanding this worldincluding how the world came to be. Opposing views are based on many presuppositions, each of which is diametrically opposed to biblical assumptions. But the Bible is the foundational, irreplaceable source of information about the creation of the universe.

Bible Verses About God The Creator

You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens,The heaven of heavens with all their host,The earth and all that is on it,The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of themAnd the heavenly host bows down before You.

The One forming light and creating darkness,Causing well-being and creating calamity I am the Lord who does all these.

For My hand made all these things,Thus all these things came into being, declares the Lord. But to this one I will look,To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols,But the Lord made the heavens.

For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens ,I am the Lord, and there is none else.

Praise Him, all His angels Praise Him, all His hosts!Praise Him, sun and moon Praise Him, all stars of light!Praise Him, highest heavens,

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,The moon and the stars, which You have ordained What is man that You take thought of him,And the son of man that You care for him?Yet You have made him a little lower than God,And You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands You have put all things under his feet,All sheep and oxen,And also the beasts of the field,The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

Christian Quotes About Being Fearfully And Wonderfully Made

You are priceless fearfully and wonderfully made. God shaped and modeled you in your mothers womb. God created you in his own image. You were created, redeemed, and are deeply loved and valued by God. Therefore, the man who wants to be involved with you should have to count the cost.

Resolve never to criticize or downgrade yourself, but instead rejoice that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Elizabeth George

I feel grateful for the slight sprain which has introduced this mysterious and fascinating division between one of my feet and the other. The way to love anything is to realise that it might be lost. In one of my feet I can feel how strong and splendid a foot is in the other I can realise how very much otherwise it might have been. The moral of the thing is wholly exhilarating. This world and all our powers in it are far more awful and beautiful than even we know until some accident reminds us. If you wish to perceive that limitless felicity, limit yourself if only for a moment. If you wish to realise how fearfully and wonderfully Gods image is made, stand on one leg. If you want to realise the splendid vision of all visible things wink the other eye. G.K. Chesterton

God Sees The Real You

Free Bible Verse Wallpapers

These days there is a fix for any undesirable flaw. Hair can be cut, lengthened removed or manipulated in any which way. You can airbrush the make-up on your face and even filter out the remaining flaws before you post your selfie. You can be perfectly plastic if you have enough patience and hide anything you do not want others to see.

But God sees the real you. When your hair is undone, and you have puffy bags under your eyes, he still thinks you are the crown of his creation.

You are the God who sees me.

Genesis 16:13

In the Old Testament, when God commanded Samuel to travel to Jesses household to find the future king of Israel amongst his sons, Samuel evaluated the candidates with his human understanding. But God had a different candidate in mind and reprimanded the prophet.

Dont judge by appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesnt see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

1 Samuel 16:7

The thiefs purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

John 10:10

I would like to challenge both of us you and me to change our perspective of our bodies to what the Holy Spirit teaches us through Scripture.

In The Beginning God Created A Perfect World

The Holy Bible says, in Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” And in verse 25b, “And God saw that it was good.”

It was perfect in every way, for God does not make any mistakes.

In Chapter 2 of Genesis is the account of God creating Adam and Eve. He made a garden for them to live in, and take care of, and He named it Eden, which is synonymous with the name Paradise.

It was a perfect place, with all sorts of trees bearing food for Adam and Eve to eat. There was a river with perfectly clean and pure water for them to drink. The soil there must have been rich and fertile, and would be easy to plow or dig up, to prepare for planting more trees and vegetables.

Adam and Eve and all the animals, and other life, were evidently vegetarians until they were expelled from the garden.

Satan and sin entered Adam and Eve, and God not only banished them from the Garden, but changed the world to have all sorts of undesirable briars and weeds, and animals and insects that would harm Adam and Eve and all mankind after them.

Evidently, there was no pain in childbirth, or pain and sickness of any kind while they were in the garden, and under the care of almighty God. However, sin spoiled this paradise for every living creature from that day until now.

But he is greatly mistaken, for there is a God!

We will be with Him and all our loved ones in Paradise forever! What a blessing!

Gods Involvement In His Creation

God is actively involved in His creation. Not only was He actively involved in the creation of all things, but He remains actively involved in the lives of His created beings. His mission is to reconcile His chosen people to Himself. God initiates the relationship, not man. It is through His active, continual involvement int the lives of His people, by the Holy Spirit, that we grow in progressive sanctification.

20. Genesis 1:4-5 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

21. John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

Bible Verses About Good Works God Has Prepared For Us

Did God Create Evil? A Misunderstood Bible Verse: Isaiah 45:7

We are Godâs workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

For we are His workmanship, , which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. These are works done, not in our own strength and for our own benefit, but by the grace of God and in obedience to Him led by the Holy Spirit, to Gods glory.

The way of works is the way of life, for He who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:17.

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. Matthew 7:21-23.

To the churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, we read constantly, I know your works, and Do the first works. You hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans. As for your works, the last are more than the first. and keeps My works until the end.For I have not found your works perfect before God. In other words, they should have been perfect!!!

The only thing that interests God is our works the works He has prepared for us! It is the only thing that weighs anything on the scales!

To Work In Gods Image Is To Be Blessed By The Limits God Sets

Since we are created in Gods image, we are to obey limits in our work. “God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation” . Did God rest because he was exhausted, or did he rest to offer us image-bearers a model cycle of work and rest? The fourth of the Ten Commandments tells us that Gods rest is meant as an example for us to follow.

Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God you shall not do any workyou, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.

While religious people over the centuries tended to pile up regulations defining what constituted keeping the Sabbath, Jesus said clearly that God made the Sabbath for usfor our benefit . What are we to learn from this?

Why This Particular World

But we cant leave it here. Its too general. Its too disconnected from the specific persons of the Trinity and from the flow of history the way God is guiding it. The question is not just, Why did God create the world? but why this world? Why these thousands of years of human history with a glorious beginning, and a horrible fall into sin, and a history of Israel, and the coming of the Son of God into the world, a substitutionary death, a triumphant resurrection, the founding of the church and the history of global missions to where we are today? Why this world? This history?

And the short answer to that question is, for the glory of Gods grace displayed supremely in the death of Jesus. Or to say it more fully: this world this history as it is unfolding was created and is guided and sustained by God so that the grace of God, supremely displayed in the death and resurrection of Jesus for sinners, would be glorified throughout all eternity in the Christ-exalting joys of the redeemed. Or lets just keep it short: this world exists for the glory of Gods grace revealed in the saving work of Jesus. This means that Bethlehem is not just a God-centered church, but a Christ-exalting church and a gospel-driven church. For us there is an unbreakable connection between the glory of God, the glory of grace, the glory of Christ, the glory of the cross.

Gods Love Is Too Great To Fully Understand

And may you have the power to understand, as all Gods people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Gods love is so great that we, as mere humans, cannot fully understand it. Humans love for one another often depends at least partly on the behavior of the person being loved. Gods love for us does not.

Do you long to be known and loved for who you are? God is the only one who can truly do that.

We Are Gods Ambassadors

Pin on Bible Verses

11 Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too.12 Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart.13 If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.14 Either way, Christs love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone a new life has begun!

Then God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
