I’m gay and i did in no way choose to be like this, i don’t think it is wrong at all because you cant help who you fall for! What difference does it make to anyone about someone else’s sexuality?.. The answer is it doesn’t. I think that many people are very closed minded and cant even begin to look at it from a different perspective than their own. I think that every lgbt gets tarred with the same stereotypical brush. I think people who say it is wrong are pathetic and childish!

There is not a single Greek word or phrase in the entire New Testament that should be translated into English as homosexual or homosexuality. In fact, the very notion of homosexualitylike that of heterosexuality, bisexuality, and even sexual orientationis essentially a modern concept that would simply have been unintelligible to the New Testament writers. The word homosexuality came into use only in the latter part of the nineteenth century, and, as New Testament scholar Victor Paul Furnish notes, it and related terms presume an understanding of human sexuality that was possible only with the advent of modern psychological and sociological analysis. In other words, The ancient writers . . . were operating without the vaguest conception of what we have learned to call sexual orientation.1

The account of David and Jonathan in the Books of Samuel has been interpreted by traditional and mainstream writers as a relationship of affectionate regard. It has also been interpreted by some authors as of a sexual nature. Theologian Theodore Jennings identifies the story as one of desire for David by both Saul and Jonathan, stating, “Saul’s jealousy has driven into Jonathan’s arms.”Michael Coogan addresses the claim of the alleged homosexual relationship between David and Jonathan and explicitly rejects it.
The story of Ruth and Naomi is also occasionally interpreted by contemporary scholars as the story of a lesbian couple. Coogan states that the Hebrew Bible does not even mention lesbianism.

What the bible most decidedly is not is some type of handbook for navigating the 21st century. It is not God, nor should it be awarded godlike status. Are there universal truths contained with the pages of the bible? Absolutely! Are many of those truths relevant in every age and culture, and binding to Christians everywhere? Definitelyloving your neighbor, forgiving your enemies, and looking out for the weak are obligations that Christ has put upon each person who that claims to follow him. Are there passages of Scripture that should be read as if they are describing historical events that actually transpired in this world? Of coursethe physical resurrection of Jesus is a non-negotiable tenet of the Christian faith.
But what about the story where God creates the entire universe in six 24-hour periods? What about all of the laws described in the Torah, like the one that forbids wearing different fabrics together, or planting different kinds of seeds in the same field? What about the law that demands rebellious children be stoned to death? Or Jesus admonition to sell all you own and donate the money to the poor?

Jesus’ Discussion Of Marriage
In Matthew 19:3, Jesus is asked “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?” He answered that:
“Have you not read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’ , and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’ ? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
Rob Gagnon, an associate professor of New Testament studies, argues it is “obvious” that Jesus’ back-to-back references to Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 show that he “presupposed a two-sex requirement for marriage” even though the question he was being asked was about a contemporary dispute about whether married couples could divorce.
Interestingly, still in response to the question in Matthew 19:3, Jesus speaks further and discusses a class he calls ‘eunuchs’, which would seem to be a reference to something more than simply those who have removed their testicles or external genitalia or been born without such:
But he said to them, “Not everyone can accept this teaching, but only those to whom it is given. For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.”
What Was The New Testament Attitude Toward Slavery
And how does this stance affect our study of the issue of homosexuality?
Slavery in the Roman era was dramatically different from the despicable practice as we know it in American history. If you had been walking through any first-century Roman city, you would not have been able to distinguish between slaves and free. Patterns of work, relationships, or faith were no different between the two. Slaves served not only to do manual labor but also as doctors, nurses, household managers, and intellectuals. They administered funds and cities. They were typically given an excellent education at the expense of their owners so that philosophers and tutors were typically slaves.
Even more amazing to us, it was common for people to sell themselves into slavery to secure such privileges. A person who desired citizenship in the Empire could achieve it by enslaving himself to a citizen, then purchasing his freedom. Slavery was more a process than a condition.
While there is no doubt that many slaves were abused physically, sexually, and socially, it is also true that at least as many were part of the more privileged strata of society. And the total dependence of the Roman economy upon the labor of slaves made it impossible for the Empire to conceive of abolishing this institution. If an economist were to propose that we refuse all goods and services imported from outside America, wed be equally surprised.
Does the New Testament then argue for slavery? Absolutely not.

Gay Is Stupid And Wrong
Being gay is just bad, I mean, imagine a boy and a boy kissing and smooching each other… But it is only okay to be gay in the right way when a boy likes another boy as a friend so that’s okay. But on the other hand, it is just bad, a boy and a boy cannot get married to another boy because it is not right and it is wrong.
What Does The Bible Really Say About Homosexuality
Actually, a whole lot less than you might imagine! That may be hard to believe given the fierce rhetoric Christians often employ when talking about homosexuality, but there are really only seven passages in the Bible that refer directly to homosexual behavior, and none of them are associated with Jesus. Compare that to the more than 250 verses on the proper use of wealth or more than 300 on our responsibility to care for the poor and work for justice, and you appreciate quickly that homosexuality was not exactly a major theme of the Bible.
Nevertheless, these seven passages have been poured over by conservative and liberal scholars alike and have occasioned considerable conversation and controversy. In order to review what the Bible actually says about homosexuality, as well as what others are saying about it, I’ll group similar verses below and give a brief summary of the major differences in interpretation. Then, I’ll outline the four most common stances Christians take regarding these biblical passages in general, as these positions greatly influence how one interprets individual verses.

Now when the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew into Greek , how did the translators handle the word qadesh? In Deuteronomy 23:17, they used the Greek word;porne. This Greek also word appears in various New Testament scriptures and is always translated harlot or prostitute. A notable example is Revelation 2:20 where the church at Thyatira was condemned for allowing a prophetess called Jezebel to practice harlotry. If ever there was a definite reference to a cult prostitute, this was it.
If Paul wanted to communicate the idea of cult prostitute, he would have used the Greek word;porne.;Qadesh;was never translated using;malakoi;or;arsenokoitai. This is a damning indictment against the gay advocates argument. The fact that Paul used those two Greek words strongly suggests that he was not referring to temple prostitution, but to all homosexuality.
Homosexuality In The New Testament: 1 Timothy : 8
The last passage for our study is part of Pauls first letter to Timothy. Here is the paragraph in which our verse is found: We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurersand for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me .
The phrase in question is found in verse 10, translated by the NIV as adulterers and perverts. Adulterers renders the root Greek word pornos, from which we get pornography, and means one who practices sexual immorality. When accented on the second syllable, it frequently refers to one who operates a brothel. When accented on the first syllable, as in our text, it can refer to homosexual activity.
Perverts renders the Greek word arsenokoites, typically translated as homosexual. We see it in 1 Corinthians 6:9, where it is translated by the NIV as homosexual offenders. The word means literally one who has sexual relations with men. While some attempt to interpret the word as it is found in 1 Corinthians 6 with reference to prostitution, such a connection is even more difficult to maintain in the present text.
Such is the consistent teaching of the New Testament on the subject.

Homosexuality In The New Testament
In the New Testament , there are at least three passages that refer to homosexual activity: Romans 1:2627, 1 Corinthians 6:910, and 1 Timothy 1:910. A fourth passage, Jude 1:7, is often interpreted as referring to homosexuality. Jesus discusses marriage only in a heterosexual context when he cites the Book of Genesis during a discussion of marriage .
The references to homosexuality itself in the New Testament hinge on the interpretation of three specific Greek words: arsenokoits , malakos , and porneia and its cognates. While it is not disputed that the three Greek words apply to sexual relations between men , some academics interpret the relevant passages as a prohibition against pederasty or prostitution rather than homosexuality per se, while some scholars hold the historical position that these passages forbid all same sex sexual acts and relationships.
Gods Moral Law And Homosexuality
In the law of Moses, there are very explicit statements about the immorality and sinfulness of homosexuality. For example, we read:
You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination, .
This is not simply one of the distinctive holiness commands by which Israel was to set themselves apart from other nations as a special people, like dietary laws and such. This is a moral law by which all nations are judged before God. The list of primarily sexual sins in Leviticus 18 that contains this command ends with the statement:
Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these the nations which I am casting out before you have become defiled. For the land has become defiled, therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its inhabitants, .
The nations were not punished for eating pork, wearing mixed fabric, or even working on the Sabbath. Such commands were distinctive to maintaining Israel as a sacred people. The nations were judged, however, for breaking universal moral laws of God like sexual immorality, including homosexuality. Now, some have suggested that this is meant specifically to address ancient homosexual temple prostitution as it related to the worship of false gods, but that is not how Leviticus treats it. The New Testament And Homosexuality
The standard does not change in the New Testament. The New Covenant writings uphold the same clear sexual morality for the same reasons, and they explicitly point out Homosexuality as a sinful deviation from it. To the church in Rome, Paul takes the issue, again, right back to the beginning.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen, .

Why God And The Gay Christian Is Wrong About The Bible And Same
In March 2012, Matthew Vines posted a video on YouTube suggesting that “being gay is not a sin,” and that the Bible “does not condemn, loving, committed same-sex relationships.” He spoke eloquently from the heart with poise, conviction and vulnerability. The video quickly went viral.
Vines is a bright young man raised in a Christian home. At age 19, he left Harvard University after his third semester so that he could come out to his family and friends in Wichita. He knew that his father would not agree with the way he reconciled his sexuality with Scripture. So Vines sought to arm himself with biblical scholarship on the affirmation of same-sex relationships and strove to convince his family and church that they were wrongthat homosexuality is not a sin.
Vines’s new book, God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships, expounds further on the arguments made in his video. His aim is not to present new information, but to synthesize gay-affirming arguments and make them accessible for a broader and younger audience. Vines does a good job fulfilling this goal. Unfortunately, his book consists of some logical and exegetical fallacies, and it does not address the shortcomings of the authors to whom it is most indebted. And although Vines professes a “high view” of the Bible, he ultimately fails to apply uncomfortable biblical truths in a way that embraces a costly discipleship.

The Gay Rights Movement Is Violent
Fifth, the special rights movement is extremely violent. When a government gives a group of people a false permission to engage in any kind of promiscuous sexual activity, such coddling eventually leads to a complete loss of selfdiscipline. This inability to control oneself naturally leads from sexual misconduct to total disregard for all of the ordinances of both God and man. Activist homosexuals commit many more violent crimes in general than the rest of the population, as we will see.
Homosexuals are also much more likely to commit suicide or to meet a violent death themselves than are other people, and the homosexual lifestyle has caused gays to lose fifty million years of productive life in the United States since 1985.7
