Trials Are Part Of Gods Work

What Does the Bible Say about Trials and Temptations? – Pastor Adrienne Shales

God never says, Oops. God is in control of the trials. God is not on his throne wringing his hands as he waits for the outcome of events. Even if I cant see how, I can be confident that God is working for his glory. This helps me to stop worrying about how things are going to work out. My heart is peaceful when I remember that God promises to work for his glory and our eternal good.Pain is not without purpose. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! . And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good .

Top : I Corinthians : 13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

This verse is something you should always remember every time you are faced with a temptation, trial, or any type of problem.

Remember that whatever you are going through right now, you can go through it.

You can successfully overcome it.

Why?

Because God says that He will not give us more than what we are able.

He is FAITHFUL and what He says in the Bible, He will surely do.

He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear.

With every temptation, he promised that he will provide a way of escape.

So, we shouldnt make an excuse that our temptation is too much for us to handle.

In reality, theres no temptation or trial that we cant overcome.

The more difficult the temptation, the more God believes in us.

He knows that we can handle it and so He gives us a trial that will help us develop godly character.

It is through trials that we become spiritually and physically stronger.

Our tests in life are not there to make us fail but to help us grow.

So, the next time you are tempted, remember I Corinthians 10:13.

You can be sure that God will not allow any temptation to come near you that you cant overcome.

What Should We Do When We Face Tests And Trials

What is a Christian to do when faced with disappointment, disaster, and despair? Scripture teaches us that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose . Yet when we encounter difficulties, we often wonder, Why? Searching for answers and learning to view bad things as good things in disguise are disciplines that God wants His children to develop as they mature spiritually.

When you respond to Gods grace and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are born again into the Kingdom of God. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in your spirit. He confirms your relationship with God, comforts you, and leads you into all truth.

God begins the supernatural work of transforming you, His child, into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, Who was and is perfect. As you mature in your faith, God uses tests and trials to develop your character and ministry. By responding to trials in the grace of God, you will experience the power of Gods Spirit, which will be manifested in your life through the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christs sufferings that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy .

1. Give thanks.

The Disguise Of Randomness

In 1 Peter 1:6, it says that, you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. The key phrase, you may have had to could be translated it may have become necessary for you to suffer trials. The verse discloses that there is design and intent behind the trial.

God has looked at your life and decided that it was, in fact, necessary for you to go through a trial for the sake of spiritual growth. Often Christians fail to persevere in trials, because they begin to believe that they are simply random happenstance, and therefore have no point or benefit.

Right now, if you were to go into a hospital and listen in to conversations taking place between friends and family with sick loved ones, you might hear phrases like, Youll see, it will all work out or Every cloud has a silver lining. These people need hope, and loved ones reflexively try to provide it by explaining that their pain has purpose.

Unfortunately, without God, these can be nothing more than shallow platitudes, because there really is no guarantee that their pain will have a positive purpose. However, the Christian always has hope because there is nothing random, unplanned, or unforeseen in any of the trials that come into their lives. For the Christian, absolutely nothing is random. All their pain and trials can have redemptive purposes, and anything that has come into their lives has been allowed by God.

Reasons Why God Allows Trials And Tribulations

What Does The Bible Say About Trials and Tribulations ...

We always hear Christians say things like I have been doing everything right. I have been fasting and praying, giving, loving my neighbor, obeying the Lord, reading Scripture daily, and walking faithfully with the Lord.

What did I do wrong? Why has God allowed me to go through such hard times? Does He not care about me? Am I saved? To be honest we have all felt a little something like this.

Here is what I have learned on my walk of faith. Be on guard because when youre asking all these questions and questioning God, Satan will try to attack. He will say, no he doesnt love you. Look at those unbelievers who are not going through adversity, but you say Jesus Christ died for you, and yet you are going through the worst troubles of your life. Dont let the devil give you fear.

Trials can lead into atheism. When your faith is small the devil can rip it out. Dont let him put you in despair and bitterness towards God. Dont ever forget the other times God has delivered you because He will do it again. The devil will try to say it was a coincidence, but with God there is no coincidence. Cry out to God. Block Satan off and always remember that we have victory in Christ.

Even In My Darkest Hour I Will Sing I Will Praise Because Your Word Is True: About Praising God

One of the most important keys that will make it possible for us to walk in kingdom living is our expression of praise. The Lords prayer begins in an attitude of worship and praise, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth . Praise is the will of God, and heaven overflows with it.

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Revelation 19:5-7

In Everything Give Thanks

Since the presence of praise is voiced continually in heaven, our voices should also be lifted up in praise to our Lord. In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 we are told to, Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. The Lord tells us here that we are to have an attitude of joy, thanksgiving and prayer at all times, no matter what the conditions or circumstances are that surround us.

The Blame Game

Sacrifice of Praise

David in writing the Psalms expresses many praises to the Lord. Psalm 34 is a typical psalm of praise:

Healing and Deliverance Through Praise

Top : Ii Corinthians : 7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

We walk by faith.

It means that we think, we talk, and we act in faith.

Human reasoning may tell us that it is impossible.

It cant be done.

Its hopeless.

Theres no way out.

But faith tells us:

God will make a way.

That is what it means to walk by faith.

We dont use our human sight.

We may see everything is against us, but by using the eyes of faith, we see that God is with us and so, we can be confident that He will help us and never forsake us.

Now, thats faith.

Dont let your physical circumstances decide what faith can achieve.

Therefore, dont depend on what you see, but depend on Gods vision for you.

For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. The Disguise Of The Non

What does the bible say about trials and temptation? by ...

If a group of militant atheists were to come into your room and tie you up and threaten you with death if you failed to renounce your faith, I think you would realize that you were in a trial. The problem is that our trials dont usually come in such an obvious spiritual context. Often they are typical day-to-day struggles with circumstances, relationships, ill health, or some area of lacking or inability in our own lives.

In 1 Peter 1:6 and James 1:2, both Peter and James mention, trials of many kinds. Their point is that trials can be long, short, emotional, physical, mental, or circumstantial, and come with varying degrees of difficulty. Our trials come in all shapes and sizes and do not always come in a spiritual wrapper.

If you find yourself in some difficult or constraining circumstances that are a for you, consider yourself in a trial it is therefore not random and can work for good in your spiritual growth.

Bible Scriptures On Rejoicing During Trials

James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

1Peter 1:6In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials

Romans 12:12Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Even when it seems like your world is falling apart, God has a purpose for your trial.

Some Trials Are Necessary Toturnusawayfromsin

This is what we see happening to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 11. They were abusing the Lords Supper, and God brought weakness, sickness, and even death on them. Look at what Paul says:

That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.1 Corinthians 11:3032

Sometimes God brings trials to discipline us, to turn us away from sin. Listen to what David said about his experience with discipline: Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word . Before discipline came, David was living in sin, but after the affliction, he obeyed Gods words. Often, trials are necessary to turn us away from sin and toward obedience. Like every good parent, sometimes God will bring discipline in the life of a believer to give them motivation to obey. In the situation of the Corinthians, this included weakness, sickness, and even death.

Death is the ultimate way to turn someone from sin. He did this with Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5. They were lying to the church about their giving and because of this God took them home.
