Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge .

We never sin in a siloour sins reach out and touch generations of people who havent even been born yet. The Son Accepted To Let Go Of The Past And Seek Forgiveness

After traveling to a far country and spending all that he had, he acknowledged his sins.

Isaiah : 18 To19 ~ Forget The Former Things; Do Not Dwell On The Past See I Am Doing A New Thing

Isaiah 43:18 to19 ~ Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!

Wow! What a powerful word from God today in this cluster of heavenly fruit picked from the vine of God, filled with delicious flavours to nourish you and help you grow in God and the things of the kingdom. Twice in verse 18 God gently directs you into a different path, to be a person filled with a positive outlook rather than always looking back with regrets, and He tells you to forget the former things, and do not dwell on things which have happened. It is time to go forward, to move onward and upward onto better things. Dont let the enemy of your soul keep you ensnared in the trap of the past, the trap of dwelling on the former things which once held you back. It is time for change; it is time to be free.

It is not about where you have been, but rather where you are going that matters. You cannot change the past, what has happened, has happened. Dont dwell on the past, rise up and move on. It is time for change, just as God goes on to say in Isaiah 43:19 , See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Godly change can produce a fruitful harvest. Godly change can bring about a more powerful and positive you.

The Past Is Something That Should Be Forgotten Unfortunately A Lot Of People Let It Define Them

Pearls Go With Everything: Sunday Encouragement

They become miserable, cunning, selfish, greedy, and blame it on the past or people in their past, saying, I am this way because of how that person mistreated me or what so, so and so did to me.

God wants us to know that the past has no power over us and that we can let go of it because we have been renewed by his love, and redeeming grace.

So, rather than changing negatively because of our unfair past, we should only show God’s works in us by saying, I am nice, smart, forgiving, sweet, so forth, because of Christs love and forgiveness in my life.

“It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Isaiah : 18 To 19 Forget The Former Things; Do Not Dwell On The Past See I Am Doing A New Thing

Isaiah 43: 18 to 19, Forget the former things;;do not dwell on the past.;See, I am doing a new thing!;;

We cannot change the past, but we can do something about our future. God is saying, Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing anew thing!

So many people are caught up in the past; they let the past hold them prisoner, so much so that they find it hard to move on from it. ;Other people become stagnate, not wanting to go forward, they are happy in their comfort zone.;;

I can remember watching a nature programme, about the hippopotamus. They would stay in the same lake, until it dried up, and all it did was;live;in the;past memories of a lake of water. Some even died where they stood, not wanting to go forward, because they wanted to live in the past, where it had always been comfortable for them.;

I know of some people who live in past blessings, talking about what God used to do, and what it was like years ago. God is a God of the now, today His blessing are for us to enjoy and live in. Each and everyday we should reach out to God for a new blessing, a new in soaking of His Holy Spirit, to be filled daily, with something new in God.;

Isaiah 43: 18 to 19, Forget the former things;;do not dwell on the past.;See, I am doing a new thing! He will make a way in the desert, He will make streams flows in the wasteland and bring new fruitfulness into your life. He can make all things new!;

God bless you my friend, Matthew.

The Father Let Go Of The Past And Forgave Him

Immediately the prodigal son came to his senses and returned home; The father forgave him completely. He did not hold back any of his transgressions. He was happy and clothed him, and celebrated with his household.

But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry

Luke 15:22-23

Lesson

No one can always be trusted to be our side. If youve been left severely disappointed or emotionally traumatized by the actions of a friend, you must learn to let go.

The action of the father is inspiring. Imagine how he felt when his son disappointed him. Yet, he forgave him and let go of the past.

The prophet Isaiah said, Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

After medical school and internship, I have made so much money that I needed a car.

For about a year, I saved all my earnings hoping that I would get a new car.

And then, I got disappointed by my agent who is a close family member.

My heart was filled with bitterness that unthinkable things came to my mind.

But today, I look back, and Im happy I did not make the wrong decisions.

Your Past Circumstances Cant Be Changed But You Can Change

Famed UCLA basketball coach John Wooden often told his players, Dont live in the past; you cant do anything about the past. It will never change whether its yesterday or last year. The future is yet to be determined and can be influenced by what you do today. Today is the only day that really matters.

Your past cant be changed, but you can change. Even the consequences of past choices can be used for the glory of God when you ask Him to transform your mind and heart. In fact, your difficult past might be the very tool God uses to help you encourage others not to walk your painful journey.

Jesus told the demon-possessed man, restored to his right mind by the Savior , to tell people what God had done for him . God wants to use the story of your painful past and your redeemed life for His glory.

How will you cooperate with Him?

In Christ You Are A New Creation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Believe what God says about you as a Christ-believer. You are a new creation. The old is gone! Your past mistakes do not hold you back. God punished all of our sins on the cross in His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, so you would no longer be stuck in your sin, or be held back.

Have a wonderful day, soaking in this beautiful biblical truth.

Your Past Only Has The Power You Give It

An old Arab proverb says, Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write good things that happen to you on a piece of marble. Most of us do the opposite. We engrave bad things that happen to us in marble, and these painful memories perpetuate.

Its healthy to choose to release hurt and fear. Your past cant hurt you anymore unless you allow it to rule your thoughts and emotions.

Its wise to ask, What do I believe about my past? Determine what present thoughts and beliefs are products of your past. Then make a conscious choice to let go of past circumstances that still control youthoughts and beliefs that lead to self-condemnation and slavery.

Move on to become the person the Creator designed you to be. Cast your anxieties on your caring Lord , and walk in newness of life .

Your Past Of Shame Is Forgiven In Christ

Daily Bible Devotion | Pastor Caleb | Today’s Word of Blessing | 20-03-2021 | Berachah Ministries

Consider Christians who still struggle over past sexual sins or adultery. Those who are brokenhearted over a past abortion. Believers who sliced people to shreds with malicious gossip, and now feels ashamed about that prideful lack of love.

We all have sinful pasts, but none are out of reach of Gods mercy. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 speaks to a shameful past: and such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified. Gods forgiveness changes everything! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness .

Think of Peter who failed the Lord miserably just before the Saviors torture and death . No doubt he felt unworthy to even be in Jesus resurrected presence. But forgiven in Christ, Peter became a mighty leader in the church, feeding the Lords sheep .
