The Bibles extensive use of the number seven, in connection with such concepts as completion, exoneration, and the fulfillment of promises, suggests that God ascribes a sacred nature to the number. My Connection To 1: 11

For me, the number 11:11 came into my life when I was going through a spiritual awakening in my late 20s. Seeing 11:11 hasnt been a negative experience but it did lead me down a rabbit hole of spiritualism, religion, and self-development that in return helped me become more self-aware of who I am.

I became more conscious of the realms we can not see or explain. At times it seemed like the universe was yelling in my ear to wake up to something, but what that something is Im still trying to find out. Until I do I continue to be aware and intrigued by this supernatural occurrence that so many others experience as well.

There are many stories mentioned or alluded to in these verses. Lets look at a few and see how their faith was manifested.

Abel: The first two children of Adam an Eve were Cain and Abel. They knew that God had promised a Redeemer and that the acceptance of the promised Savior was not through their works, but through faith. Cain brought a sacrifice to God which was based on his own labor: not based on faith. Though God had given a specific examplethe slaughtering of a lamb to cover Adam and Eves sinCain came to God with his own work. However, Abel sacrificed to God in faith trusting the promised Messiah.

Abraham: Most of the evidences of Abrahams faith that are mentioned in Hebrews 11 show that Abraham was trusting God for a promised inheritance. Abraham left his home to obtain land. He believed God when He said that Abrahams family would be multiplied like the stars of the sky or the sands of the sea. Abrahams faith in the physical promises from God were proof that he trusted in the potential promised Redeemer who would come long after Abrahams own death.

Moses: Though raised in the house of the Pharaoh of Egypt, Moses knew that his birth family was the people of God. You can read the Old Testament account of the life of Moses and see that Moses was not a perfect man; yet what drove Moses to obey and trust God was that he had faith in the promise of a coming Savior.

What Does The Number 8 Mean In The Bible And Prophetically

This number is mentioned 80 times in the Bible. In Hebrew it is Shmoneh from the root Shahmeyn to put on weight, cover with fatness, overflow. As a participle it means he who is rich in vigor. As a noun it indicates superabundant fertility, oil, etc. And as a numeral it is the superabundant number.

As the seven was so named because of the fact that the seventh day is that of the conclusion or rest; the eight, like the eighth day, was above this perfect number, and was the first of a new period. It represents two numbers in one, the first and the eighth.

As regards the first period, it represents the resurrection, because the old order of things ended, a new number emerges then to typify the life out of death.

The Promise: A Redeemer

In Hebrews 11 there is a constant reference to the promise that God had given to various people. The initial promise was given in Genesis 3:15. God promised that there would be a Redeemer who would come and save humanity from the punishment of their sin. This promise was originally given to Eve when God said that from her seed the Redeemer, a Savior, would come. Throughout the Bible God gave more and more specifics for who the Redeemer would be and where He would come from.

The promised Redeemer was later defined as coming from the family of Abraham; specifically through the line of Isaac. Later God narrowed the promise through Isaacs son Jacob and then through the house of David. Through Hebrews 11 we can see that God takes a general promise and throughout history narrows down the promise to exactly where the Redeemer would come from.

Multiple Number Ones In A Verse

What does the Bible mean when it says that

While there are many verses with multiple ones in them, below are some of the most important found in the New Testament .

For if by the offense of the ONE man death reigned by the ONE, how much more shall those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life by the ONE, Jesus Christ .

Likewise, we, being many, are ONE body in Christ, and each ONE members of ONE another .

Note that in the below unique two-verse coupling that 111 appears in each of verses for a combined occurrence of 111111!

For even as the body is ONE and has many members, yet all the members of the ONE body, though many, are ONE body; so also is Christ.

For indeed, by ONE Spirit we were all baptized into ONE body – whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondmen or free – and we were all made to drink into ONE Spirit .

Another two-verse coupling containing 111111 is Ephesians 4:4 – 5.

The Meaning Of Numbers: The Number 11

The number eleven is important in that it can symbolize disorder, chaos and judgment. In the Bible, number 11 is used twenty-four times and “11th” can be found 19 times.

Coming after 10 , the number eleven represents the opposite, which is the irresponsibility of breaking the Law, which brings disorder and judgment.

In Genesis 11, men rebelled against God and built the tower of Babel. He judged them by confusing their language, resulting in chaos. Jehoiakim, one of the last kings over Judah, ruled for 11 years . His successor, King Jehoiachin, rules for only three months before the Babylonians take control of Jerusalem.

After overcoming Jerusalem, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon sets up Zedekiah as a puppet ruler of Judea. Zedekiah, however, soon rebels against his masters. His reign is ended in 586 B.C., after only eleven years, when Nebuchadnezzar once again conquers Jerusalem but this time he destroys the city and temple.

The apostle John saw 11 things in connection with the final judgment .

Significance Of Number : Fulfillment Of Promises And Oaths

The number seven also frequently accompanies the fulfillment of promises or oaths. In fact, the Hebrew word for swearing an oath and the Hebrew word for seven both derive from the Hebrew word meaning satisfaction or fullness .

In Genesis, God promises not to destroy the Earth again with a flood and memorializes this covenant with the rainbow, which is comprised of seven colors . Later in Genesis, we learn that Abraham swore an oath of ownership over a certain well of water . Abraham satisfied the oath with a gift of seven lambs and named the site of the oath Beersheba, which interchangeably means well of the oath or ;well of seven.

The Book of Joshua gives us another example of sevens correlation with promises. There, God promised Joshua that Hed bring down the fortified walls of Jericho if Joshua and his army marched around the city once for six days and seven times on the seventh day with seven priests blowing seven trumpets. After Joshua followed the Lords commands exactly, the walls of Jericho fell, just as the Lord had promised .

Seven is also associated with promises in the Book of Revelation. In particular, we read of seven letters addressed to seven churches . In the letters, Christ assures each church community that if its members repent and live according to Jesuss instructions, each community will receive its promised reward.;

What Does 11 Mean In The Bible

The 11th marks the eleventh hour, the confused and disorganized time before 12, when Christ will return as King of kings. In Genesis 37: 9, the 11 stars of Josephs dream prefigure the day when the Jews cheer their King, whom they have rejected.

Two of the last kings of Judah reigned for 11 years. Jehoiakim, the one who burned the scroll of Jeremiah, reigned when Nebuchadnezzar came up against him and began his work of destroying Jerusalem . Zedekiah, the king who did not want to hear the word of God through Jeremiah, was the one in whom Nebuchadnezzar completed his task of dominion over Jerusalem because in the eleventh year a breach was made in the wall of the city . Here began the times of the Gentiles. We see how the number 11 is associated with the destruction and desolation of Jerusalem.

Benjamin is born later and is a type of Christ, because his mother, when dying, calls him Benoni: Son of my pain, pointing to the suffering of the Savior. Jacob calls him Benjamin: Son of my right hand, pointing to the triumphant Christ. Benjamin changes the number of 11 children into 12, just as Christ will change the disorder and disorganization of the present world into a realm of perfect peace. After Benjamin was born, Joseph was sold, leaving 11 children at home and bringing disorder back for a while.
