Examine Yourselves For Repentance
Weve already seen examine yourselves bible verses. But thats not as easy as it sounds
We must search through our minds and see our faults
We are not perfect and have been corrupted by sin
Right from the beginning of the world, and in our mothers womb, we have sinned
But in our imperfections, we can strive to keep Gods commands
Am I living as expected of a Christian? Do I obey Gods commandments?

The Ultimate Reason Why You Do Not Test God
Eternal Destiny is at Stake
The ultimate reason why you do not test God is the worst possible scenario that God forbid you didnt have a chance to make things right between you and your maker!
Do you realize where youd be? Hell is real and thats where you can find yourself apart from Jesus Christ!
I can tell you this much friend I will keep praying for this family and I refuse to give up hope. I know they have different beliefs than I do and if youre argumentative in trying to reach someone theyre just gonna push you farther away.
NO ONE is beyond the reach of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe God can change the heart of anyone! Can I challenge you today even though you may have tried to reach someone with the gospel and they push you farther and farther awayKEEP TRYING!

How Did I Tempt God
Do not put God to the test as I did. I tell them the whole truth. I admit my moments of outbursts in shaking my fists towards Heaven and screaming at God, WHY did you give Tyler to us, to snatch him away! Why didnt you take ME instead!
The one thing I regret the most was testing Gods wisdom with my venomous speech..HOW COULD YOU!HOW DARE YOU!
I realize now that wasnt the wisest words to proceed from my mouth because I should NEVER Tempt God like that in the first place!

Do Not Test The Lordyou Will Lose
Not the response I was looking for. Id give anything to tell you that Im making headway in this. Sadly, its the opposite reaction. I told them you trust me, you do not test God!
Every time I try to get this individual to see they dont have to carry this alone its like hitting a brick wall. I can see the blinders covering their eyes and my words are hitting deaf ears.
Its disappointing, to say the least, and they are so incredibly angry and full of bitterness and I keep on challenging them to give it to God and do not test God repeatedly like this.

The First Sunday Of Lent: Jesus Is Tempted In The Desert
One commentator on the Scriptures suggested that this experience of Jesus being tempted would not have been included in the accounts of his life and ministry unless Jesus revealed this to some of his followers. He is portrayed as vulnerable to the deceits of Satan. Why would Jesus go into the desert for a forty day retreat after his baptism? It is the same reason why people go on retreat: to refocus on who they are, where they are going and how to get there. Ones perspective about life gets blurred by all the noise and hyperactivity of life. We live in a fallen world where bad things happen. It started with the fall in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and will continue till either God returns or we face our eternity.
Lets just say my response wasnt one they wanted to hear. Nonetheless, it doesnt make it less true. Yall, what happened next just about brought me to tears.

The fight for salvation is a daily struggle.
As Christian, we must be watchful of the devil and his tricks.
The devil is eager to deceive us in any way he can.
He is determined to steal our salvation by misleading us.
And thats why routine self-examination is crucial to be saved.
We must examine ourselves daily to ensure we are still on Gods side.
Thankfully, there are numerous bible verses about examining yourself.
These scriptures teach us to assess ourselves if we are still in the faith.
Are we obeying Gods commands? Are we living a righteous life?
And not just that, We must scrutinize what we believe in.
We must examine what our spiritual leaders are teaching us.
And that is because there are lots of false prophets with selfish ambitions in the world.
In simple terms, our spiritual life can be likened to a mirror.
Each day, I wake up, take my bath, and then prepare for work.
After putting my clothes on, I take a look at the mirror.
Right there, I see my faults, and I quickly correct them.
I repeat this every morning and its never a difficult task to do.
Likewise, in our struggle for salvation, we must examine ourselves in a similar manner.

The Faith And Belief Test
In my opinion, this next type of test may be the most trying and possibly the most severe. This is where God will be showing you what is on the other side of your true calling in Him.
When God does this, He may show you what some of the obstacles, roadblocks, and opposition may end up being. He may show you exactly what you will have to face. This is where you will be shown all of the Goliaths and strongholds that you may have to face and engage with once you cross over into the actual calling.
A perfect example of this type of test has to be with what God did with the children of Israel just after He had got done rescuing them from the Egyptians in the story of Moses. Shortly after delivering them from the Egyptians, He brought them right up to their Promised Land.
But instead of sending all of them immediately in, He sends in only 12 spies so they could first spy out the land so they could see exactly what they were going to have to face once they actually entered into this land.
And what happens next? 10 of the spies come back with a bad report. They come back telling the rest of the people that the people who dwell there were strong, that many of the cities were fortified, that it was a land that devoured its inhabitants, that all of the men they saw were of great stature, and that they were like grasshoppers in the face of these types of giants.

Matthew : 7 Do Not Test God
Jesus answered him, It is also written: Do not put the Lord your God to the test. Matthew 4:7
On the second temptation that the devil presented to Jesus he tried to get Jesus to jump off of a high temple and trust God to catch Him. The devil even used some scripture stating the God would have His angels take care of Him. Jesus answered with another Scripture from Deuteronomy 6:13, that you are not supposed to put God to the test.
The devil was trying to get Jesus to test God in a negative way. He was trying to get Jesus to do something God did not tell Him to do. Jesus later states that He can only say and do things that He sees His Father in heaven doing. In a sense this severely limits what He can say or do.
God only gave one thing that you can do to test Him. That one thing is in giving of your tithes. With giving of tithes God says do it and try Him to see if He will not open the storehouses of heaven and bless you abundantly. Outside of that you are not supposed to test God.
Testing God in this way puts you as the one in control. If God had to bail you out of every situation you put yourself in, with no change of your heart, you would be able to sin on purpose and God would have to bail you out with no repentance.
You would be the one calling the shots. Remember God is the one in absolute control of everything, not you. As a believer, you must allow God to call every action and word you do and say. God has to be completely in control of you.

The Devil Tests Man To Make Him Fall
Satan tests us with the intention of causing us failure and eternal death . Satan tested Christ . But Christ overcame him by the power of the Word and prayer. When people disconnect from God they fall into sin . Satan is constantly tempting men like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour . Therefore, the Lord admonishes the believers, submit to God. For me, it didnt take long before I began to think the Bible might not be big enough. During my college years, the Bible guided me through many moral choices, like alcohol consumption. But it seemed to fall short in other areas, like which career path was right for me.
This became a problem when I was offered a job. I felt called to do the work, but the job required me to move away from friends and familyand the pay was barely enough to make ends meet. While the Bible could not confirm that this job was Gods call for me, the difficult circumstances seemed to indicate that this could not possibly be Gods will.
While the Bible holds no information about specific job offers, it does give insight into judging our circumstances. Two passages in Matthew and five loaves of bread changed my perspective.
1. In Matthew 4, Jesus was tempted by Satan after fasting for 40 days: If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread . Satan did not ask Jesus to do something impossible . Rather he tempted Jesus with something that He could easily do.
In the end, taking that job was the right move for me, not because it was the difficult path, but because it was the path God desired. Studying the Bible confirmed that when the circumstances seemed to indicate otherwise.

A Nonbeliever Has No Eternal Hope
If you are a non-believer of Jesus Christ looking at this scenario in my eyes would give you NO HOPE WHATSOEVER!
Youll be trying to handle the situations in your own strength and youll find out rather quickly how exhausting it can be.
Yall, I know what its like to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. I know what it is like to tempt God.
Trust me, the load will be much easier to surrender it to the one who is more than capable of carrying it and that person is Jesus Christ.

Straight Path In The Wilderness
Matthew 4:1-11 reminds Christians to expect and endure evil without giving in but also shows us how to resist by using the very words of God. Even Christ quoted Scripture as His defense, rather than coming up with some new wisdom. In his farewell to the Ephesian elders, Paul said I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified .
Christ is the Word by which believers receive the inheritance of God the grace which is our salvation and our stronghold. John 1:1 says, In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. In this encounter with Satan, Christ essentially protects Himself with Himself the truth of who He is: the unchangeable I AM.
