I was fed there and learnt how to take care of myself. I learnt I was special and that God loved me. My sponsor wrote me letters, they loved me so much even though we never met in person All I can say is thank you so much for your love which showed me Gods love.

The Bible teaches that children should obey their parents. The fifth commandment states, Honor your father and mother In Ephesians 6:1-4, Paul reminds us to listen to and obey our parents as we would God: Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Rooted And Established In Love

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lords holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

When it comes to the topic of love, this passage from Ephesians is so rich. Paul prays that the church would be strengthened by the Spirit, causing them to lay a foundation of love in their lives. And as that root is established, they would experience a continuing revelation of Christs love. Because in Pauls economy, growing in our understanding of Christs love is integral to being filled with Gods fullness.

If we pay attention, the New Testament has a vital lesson to teach us about the proper motivations for holy living. Fear, shame, intimidation, and disapproval can only prompt people to go so far. And the good they do, they do to protect themselves. Love, on the other hand, inspires selfless courage and a willingness to sacrifice for others.

Summary And Analysis Of 1 John : 7

The entire passage found in 1 John 4:7-21 speaks of God’s loving nature. Love is not merely an attribute of God, it is part of his very makeup. God is not merely loving at his core, he is love. God alone loves in the completeness and perfection of love.

Love comes from God. He is its source. And since God is love then we, his followers, who are born of God, will also love. God loves us, so we must love one another. A true Christian, one saved by love and filled with God’s love, must live in love toward God and others.

In this section of Scripture, we learn that brotherly love is our response to God’s love. The Lord teaches believers how to show his love to others, to our friends, family, and even our enemies. God’s love is unconditional his love is very different from human love that we experience with one another because it is not based on feelings. He doesn’t love us because we please him. He loves us simply because he is love.

Love is the true test of Christianity. The character of God is rooted in love. We receive God’s love in our relationship with him. We experience God’s love in our relationships with others.

God’s love is a gift. God’s love is a life-giving, energizing force. This love was demonstrated in Jesus Christ: “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love” . When we receive God’s love, we are enabled through that love to love others.

Gods Love Is Too Great To Fully Understand

And may you have the power to understand, as all Gods people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Gods love is so great that we, as mere humans, cannot fully understand it. Humans love for one another often depends at least partly on the behavior of the person being loved. Gods love for us does not.

Do you long to be known and loved for who you are? God is the only one who can truly do that.

Bring Me Word Of Your Unfailing Love

In this psalm of lament, David communicates personal remorse for his shortcomings and the fear that as a consequence for disobedience, his enemies are going to overtake him. Over and over, David pleads with the Lord not to forsake him:

Davids cry to let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love isnt a reflection on how a beautiful sunrise reminds him of Gods love. Its a desperate and impatient request for God to intervene and provide quickly. Its David saying, Please let me know that you love me by tomorrow, and you can do so by showing me what to do next.

This might seem like a pushy and insistent kind of prayer that many believers wouldnt be comfortable with, but David is called a man after his own heart . And God typically responded to Davids bold prayers.

A Friend Loves At All Times

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

When we look to God as our model for love, we see that it isnt a feeling that comes and goes, or something we do out of convenience. Its a commitment that applies at all times in every circumstance.

The moment we begin to see love through this lens, we become the kinds of friends that people desperately wish they had. We become people who advocate for and celebrate others. And we become the people who others want in their corners as they go through difficult times. As the writer Proverbs might put it, we become the ones you want beside you during times of great adversity.

Let Love And Faithfulness Never Leave You

Let love and faithfulness never leave you bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Back in Exodus, when God was replacing the tablets of law that Moses broke, Scripture tells us that He passed in front of Moses and said:

The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation .

The author of Proverbs hearkens back to this moment and reminds fellow Israelites to reflect consistently upon Gods love and faithfulness. To maintain the covenant and a healthy relationship with God, Israel would need to do more than receive Gods love and faithfulness-theyd have to reciprocate it.

God Chose To Adopt You Because He Loves You

God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.

You can have a child by accident, but you cannot adopt a child by accident. When you adopt a child, you choose to love, cherish and care for that child for life. When God adopts you, its not an accident. He chooses to love, cherish and care for you forever. He does it because He loves you and wants an eternal relationship with you.

God loves His children as a proud Father. If you have begun a relationship with Him, you are Gods child and He delights in you.

Take a minute to think about how the God of the entire universe loves you personally and chose you to be His child.
