Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
To build a good relationship with others, we must remember Pauls words to the Galatians. We are all created equal no matter who we are, so we should treat each other with respect, humility, and love.
Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
All the earth is addicted to being the top, the first, the wealthiest, mightiest, and most well-known. Our faith teaches us to be different in this life. We are called to do good deeds and to serve others. Our Lord set an example for us to live a life of humility, love, and service.

A huge area that people struggle in when it comes to confidence is that they are not confident in who they are. You may have been teased as a child, bullied, or told that you would not amount to anything. And because of that, other people have caused you to have some self-esteem issues. If that is the case then the following Bible verses can help.
What Does The Bible Say About Confidence
We all need confidence, but the question is where does true confidence come from? It only comes from Christ. If your confidence is coming from any other source it will fail in the end.
I believe that in this generation confidence is found in the world. Confidence is found in status, relationships, money, cars, houses, clothes, beauty, careers, achievements, education, goals, popularity, etc.
Even Christians can try to build their confidence from an outside source. If only I had this I would be more confident. If only I looked like this I would be more confident.
When your confidence comes from anything other than God you will never be satisfied. Youre going to be left more broken and youre going to be left dry.
God said my people have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug broken cisterns that cannot hold water. When our confidence comes from things we are digging up broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
I believe things like too much TV, Facebook, etc. can hurt our confidence as well because it takes our focus off of God. God needs to be our confidence. We need to get closer to Him. He is our everlasting source for all that we need.

We Are Not To Put Our Confidence In People
People will fail you, people make mistakes, people break promises, people will sin against you, people are not all-powerful, man is not omnipresent, man is sinful, mans love is tiny compared to Gods great love. Man is so small compared to God.
There is a peace and comfort that God gives that the most loving mother could never give. Put your confidence in Him. Even a close friend can say things about you and that can bring your confidence down. That is why God is to be our only confidence. He never fails.
7. Micah 7:5 Do not trust a neighbor put no confidence in a friend. Even with the woman who lies in your embrace guard the words of your lips.
8. Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
9. Proverbs 11:13 A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.
What Confidence To Avoid
Now, we know God has confidence in us and will be our strength and light and all the things we need. However, that doesn’t mean we just walk around all cocky and self-involved. We cannot just be focused on what we need all the time. We should never think we are better than others because we are stronger, smarter, grew up with money, are a certain race, etc. In God’s eyes, we all have a purpose and direction. We are loved by God no matter who we are. We should also not rely on others to be self-confident. When we put our trust in another person, when we put our self-worth in someone else’s hands, we are setting ourselves up to be crushed. God’s love is unconditional. He never stops loving us, no matter what we do. While the love of other people is nice, it can often be flawed and cause us to lose confidence in ourselves.
Philippians 3:3 – “For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh though I myself have reasons for such confidence.”

Top 10 Bible Verses For Self
For most of my life Ive struggled with self-confidence. I was a very insecure child and teenager, though my roles in serving the Lord often called for me to be in front of people. Ive been on stage since the child, as a performing magician, and then began public speaking nationally at the age of fifteen years old. Even to this day as I serve as a lead preaching pastor and I still struggle with confidence. There are many times I get nervous before embarking upon the stage. In fact, I pray often, Lord give me the power of your Holy Spirit And help me not wet my pants .
As a certified biblical counselor, I often say that I am not fan of the phrase self-confidence. Its a false premise for Christians. Why would you want to have confidence in yourself? We know as Christians theres nothing good in us. Anything that is good in us comes from Christs work in our life. I dont want confidence in myself, Id rather have confidence in Jesus Christ. Therefore, I teach those I counsel that we should not long for self-confidence but for Christ-confidence.

Jesus tells us to love others as ourselves. Yes, we are to have self-love, but in a Godly way. We are not to get puffed up with worldly pride. But instead, show gratitude for who we are as a child of the King.

I am Gods masterpiece, even after going through drastic surgery and mutilation to my body, God knows and loves me just the way I am. Sometimes I struggle with comparisons, which is a sin, I know. However, in those times of doubt, my Heavenly Father is waiting for me to turn to Him for strength.
We all are battling insecurities. But if we walk in God-confidence vs self-confidence, you will have much more success. Just remember that God has a purpose for us. So we need to serve Him regardless of how we feel about ourselves. I know, though, that I can get all of the confidence that I need simply by putting my faith and trust in Him.

We Must Have Confidence In Prayer
Many people wonder how can we have joy in our trials? When you are so focused on the trial, then you will not be able to seek joy in the Lord. God helps to calm down your heart. When you are confident in the Lord you know that there are many promises in Scripture that you can pray for. God you said my mind would be at peace if I trust in you. Help me to trust. God will honor that prayer and He will give you a special peace in Him.
Confidence in prayer is only achieved by having special intimate alone time with God. Some people are just all about principles. Some people know what God can do and they know all about God, but they dont know God intimately. They have never been alone with Him for hours to seek His face.
They never prayed for more of His presence in their lives. Does your heart thirst for more of Him? Do you seek God so much that sometimes you would rather die than not get to know Him? This is where confidence comes from. We cant afford not to be alone with God.
You want confidence that your prayers will be answered. You want confidence in Him in the hardest situations. You want a boldness in your life that you never had before. You get alone with God every day. Find a lonely place and cry out for more of Him.

Bible Verses About Being A Good Man
James 1:19-20
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
James reminds us that we should keep our temper in check because anger if permitted to run unsupervised, can ruin relationships, push us to act tough, and choose pride over people. It contradicts what Jesus Christ is teaching us. We should always choose love.
Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah reminds us of what a good Christian and a good man are like. We should not permit injustice in our lives. We should make the needs of others our highest priority, and we should humbly obey God.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Godthis is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will ishis good, pleasing and perfect will.
