Jesus Heals The Blind Man
There was a man who was born blind and some peopleeven Jesuss disciplesthought it was because of the curse of sin. But Jesus corrected that assumption and told them no ones sin was responsible. Instead, God wanted to get glory through the mans healing and sure enough, he received his sight. This story will help you trust that your suffering is not in vain. On the other side of this pain is breakthrough. God will be glorified through your life, too.
The Second Type Of Healing Is Emotional Healing
Emotional healing or the healing of the soul is where a person no longer has an emotional reaction to either the sins that they have committed or the sins that have been committed against them.
When we sin, we feel guilt. Guilt is not just a fact, but it is an emotional reaction.
When somebody else sins against us, we feel all kinds of emotions, anger, shame, bitterness, etc. Emotional healing is when you no longer react with those emotions when you think about or remember what you did or what others do.
King David after being confronted about his sin of adultery and setting up the death of Uriah, got honest with God and received not only spiritual healing but emotional healing. In Psalm 32 He says
5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to youand stopped trying to hide my guilt.I said to myself, I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
Not only was David forgiven but He also received the removal of the feelings of guilt. He was emotionally healed.
This Hope Remains Secure: We Will Be Healed Completely In Heaven
Yes, God can and does heal, but Hes not a magic genie who operates on our commands or according to our logic. Nor is He focused on our comfort and pleasure today. His plans exceed far beyond that to eternity. But whether or not He chooses to heal us here on earth, we can rest in this truth: He will always do what is for our ultimate best and His glory.

Scriptures To Declare For Healing
We are confident that healing is for everyone as Exodus 15:26 tells us that God is the Lord who heals us.
Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17 and 1 Peter 2:24 tell us that Jesus, on the Cross, bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, in order to remove them from us and by His stripes we have been healed. We know that Jesus has purchased full healing for each individual as much as He has provided forgiveness for every sin.
Exodus 15:26 NIVIf you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.
And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land I will fulfill the number of your days.
Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.
Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and pains And with the stripes Him we are healed and made whole.
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousnessby whose stripes you were healed.
He Himself took our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.
He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
The Type Of Healing Jesus Desired More Than Anything
The Bible has a lot to say about God as healer of the sick:
Exodus 23:25 says, You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases
Isaiah 53:5 says by His wounds we are healed.
In addition to these verses, the gospel accounts are littered with examples of Jesus healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, and even raising the dead.
These verses make it clear that our God is a healing God. The One who created the universe and weaved our bodies together knows exactly what ails us and has the power to heal us. And He does heal .
My purpose for this post is to put physical healing in the context of Gods overall purpose for us . Unless we understand this purpose and see healing in its proper context, we might chase after temporary fixes instead of focusing on our much greater problem.
Part of Jesus earthly ministry did involve healing the physically sick, but temporary, physical healing dulls in comparison to His purpose to heal humanitys spiritual sickness .
This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, what the Bible says is of first importance .
Spiritual healing through the Gospel is so much more important than physical healing anyway, so we should want Isaiah 53:5 to refer to spiritual healing!
What does this mean for us practically?
1. Preach the gospel.

How Faith Healing Works
Faith healing is an important part of every Christians life. It has been around for decades and was especially seen in action during the time when Jesus was on earth. The Bible has a record of forty healings done by Jesus during his ministry. Aside from Him, faith healing was also done by His Apostles in the various missions they set out for. Not just that, faith healing such as anointing and healing through hand contact has been associated numerously with pastors, anointed preachers, and church leaders. However, today, anyone can be a mediator of faith to the sick for prayer is power. If you believe and have faith in Gods healing and claim it, you will receive it.
What Does The Bible Teach About Healing
When Jesus walked on this earth, He healed the sick. He healed everyone who came for healing to Him: they brought him all the sick and He healed them . Later, we read of healing miracles performed by the apostles. They seem to happen less often than in the ministry of Jesus, and on a smaller scale. Paul performed mass healing in Ephesus: And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them . However, there were also many instances when Paul could not heal. He could not heal Timothy , Trophimus Epaphroditus and himself .
Gods Medicine Works A Testimony
I can fondly remember a few years ago when I got my back damaged and could barely walk. I was in bad shape and needed help fast.
I had little funds at the time which was enough to cover only one visit to the physician.
After that initial visit, I was left to suffer in pain and I could feel the bones in my body aching.
The pain was too much, I felt like I was losing my mind and permanent mobility in my back.
Nevertheless, like a sudden appearance of bright light in a dark room something clicked and I was drawn to Gods word where I would the scriptures I needed to remind me that God still heals.
The truth is I did not have any other option, added to that the pain was so excruciating I couldnt sit up for too long, lie down for too long, or even walk without crying out in pain, so I decided to cry out to God for healing and strength.
Today: Im healed, my damaged back was restored completely. Theres no longer pain or any form of discomfort in my body.
The doctor had told me that one of my legs was longer than the other, and I needed treatment to fix it, but Im totally healed, and I thank God for His healing.
What was my secret? You may ask. Faith in Gods word thats it, and faith is all you need. Along with taking the following steps:
There May Be Questions To Ask Yourself
Its important not to question people or beat them up over a perceived lack of faith. Only God knows the human heart, and He is the righteous Judge .
But regarding healing, Christians might ask themselves some questions:
– Do I have courage to ask God for healing in faith?
– Do I have the kind of pleasing faith that honors God?
– Do I believe God wont answer me?
– Am I afraid Ill make God look bad if healing doesnt come?
– Am I afraid of my image and reputationdo I think I might look unspiritual if nothing changes?
The key to greater faith is intimacy with God, rooted and grounded in Christ . Its not about personal reputation.

Scripture Also Shows That God Doesnt Always Heal
Paul, one of the most influential men in all of Christendom, provides a potentially confusing scenario. This extreme man of faith lived boldly, in full surrender, and closely united with Christ.
Yet, he experienced physical challenges, but he saw purpose in his pain. He wrote, In order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me. .
This passage demonstrates these things.
Know Its God Will To Heal You
Have you ever been a part of a prayer meeting or heard someone praying and at the end telling God to perform the request if it is His will.
Such prayers would end well because if you arent clear about Gods will then what is the basis of your faith?
When it comes to healing many people are not healed because they are questioning whether or not it is Gods will to heal them.
But it is Gods will to heal everyone who will come to Him on His conditions.
When you seek healing you must be confidentwith no wavering whatsoeverconfident that its Gods will to heal you. The slightest bit of wavering, doubt, or even questioning will ruin the chance of getting lasting healing.
After all, Isaiah 53:5 says, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed.
And 1 Peter 2:24 says Who his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Why Dont Some See Healing
A few months ago, I was praying with a family and encouraging them. Believing for healing to manifest in their child who was suffering from cancer, she was in the last stages.
Even though we believed she would be completely healed of cancer, she went to be with the lord. The family was angry at me, angry at the doctors and angry at God.
I do not claim to know everything. I do not claim to understand why some people dont get healed, if I did, I would be a god. Neither do the anti-healing theologians know everything. We cannot stick to our puny experiences, which is trusting the flesh. We must believe and stick to the Healing Scriptures from the Bible.
So, what do we do when someone we are praying for does not get healed? We rejoice with those who rejoice, we mourn with those who mourn.
I suspect many of these anti-healing theologians do not want to deal with real life. They would rather sit behind a desk making up theories, put people under the bondage of lack and enjoy the show from afar.
We must stick to the bible, and it is truly clear God wants to heal everyone who comes to him, it takes extreme theological gymnastics to say otherwise. Remember there is plenty of proof that God heals everyone who comes to him, there is extraordinarily little evidence that gift of healing has stopped.
Healing Miracles Of Jesus
Jesus’s healing is for today just as much as it was when he walked the earth and performed miracles of healing the sick and disabled. The Bible tells us that “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” ~ Isaiah 53:5. Jesus can still heal today!

God Wants To Heal You
The two main reasons Jesus died on the cross is for the forgiveness of our past, present, and future sins. And for our healing.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.
~ Isaiah 53:5
Saying Healing is not Gods plan for everyone is same as saying Forgiveness of sins is not Gods plan for everyone. And that is the spirit of the Anti-Christ. Jesus is willing to heal, everyone in the Bible was worried if Jesus was willing to heal.
It is the will of the father to heal everyone who comes to Jesus for healing. It is common, natural, and fleshly to think that God might not be willing to heal us. We see this in people coming to Jesus for healing.
And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing be cleansed. Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
~ Matthew 8: 2-3
We see people are always unsure if God is willing to heal them in the Bible, but Jesus is always willing to heal everyone who goes to him. He never sent away anyone without healing them and the Healing Scriptures from the Bible are proof of that.
