The Coming Of The Messiah And The 70 Prophetic Weeks In The Book Of Daniel
The following dates are not from the Bible, but from historians’ sources. Many of these dates are also confirmed in Wikipedia. Since backdating is difficult, because year numbers were often made on the basis of government years and because these year numbers were made by humans, errors are possible. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the correctness of these dates. However, this is not a problem at all, because we are supposed to be vigilant, as Jesus wanted us to be, so it does not matter if the dates are off by one or two years, because we consider everything in an overall complex. And this is in any case clear and meaningful in terms of prophetic understanding and the approximate indication of the appearance of the Messiah. We understand by the “Messiah”, of course, our Lord Jesus Christ, while the Jews will expect a completely different person and will also run after him at first, until they can see the error.
God commanded the Israelites to keep a Sabbath year every 7th year, on which no work was allowed, as a year of rest for the farmland . God promised that He would give them such blessings in the preceding years that they would have enough food for this Sabbatical year. However, since the Israelites did not trust God and disobeyed God’s command, God imposed a 70-year punishment on them to spend in captivity.

The Decree Of Esther And Mordecai
9 So the kings scribes were called at that time in the third month , on the twenty-third day and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, the satraps, the governors, and the princes of the provinces which extended from India to Ethiopia, 127 provinces, to every province according to its script, and to every people according to their language, as well as to the Jews according to their script and their language. 10 And he wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus, and sealed it with the kings signet ring, and sent letters by couriers on horses, riding on steeds sired by the royal stud. 11 In them the king granted the Jews who were in each and every city the right to assemble and to defend their lives, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate the entire army of any people or province which might attack them, including children and women, and to plunder their spoil, 12 on one day in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month . 13 A copy of the edict to be issued as law in each and every province, was published to all the peoples, so that the Jews should be ready for this day to avenge themselves on their enemies. 14 The couriers, hastened and impelled by the kings command, went out, riding on the royal steeds and the decree was given out in Susa the capital.
Bible Verses About Purim
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your fathers house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?

This was done on the thirteenth day of the month Adar, and on the fourteenth day they rested and made it a day of feasting and rejoicing.But the Jews who were in Susa assembled on the thirteenth and the fourteenth of the same month, and they rested on the fifteenth day and made it a day of feasting and rejoicing.Therefore the Jews of the rural areas, who live in the rural towns, make the fourteenth day of the month Adar a holiday for rejoicing and feasting and sending portions of food to one another.
the Jews established and made a custom for themselves and for their descendants and for all those who allied themselves with them, so that they would not fail to celebrate these two days according to their regulation and according to their appointed time annually.

Purim Costumes And Masks
Traditionally, costumes and masks are worn to school, synagogue and carnivals on Purim. This is in part due to the notion of Esther concealing her true identity as a Jew out of fear, but its also a continuation of the way the story of Esther is topsy-turvy, according to Krasner. The notion that everything is upside-down is very much a part of the tradition. Masquerading is something thats been associated with Purim for hundreds of years, he says.
But theres more at play than the biblical story. Krasner says that theres a bit of a debate in the academic community over whether the origins of Purim costumes and masks can be associated with Mardi Gras and the festival of Carnival, which occur in the same season as Purim and all involve masquerading in jovial fashion. With schedules tied to the vernal equinox and traditions so similar, Krasner says its hard to not draw the connection.
Theres little evidence of Jews masquerading on Purim until the medieval age, which coincides with a time when Jews and Christians were living close together for the first time. It is very possible that Jews incorporated that tradition that was around them into their own celebration, Krasner posits. But, he says, theres no way to know for certain the level of influence these holidays had on one another. The genesis of these things is somewhat hazy, he explains.
The 6th High Sabbath: Sukkot = Feast Of Tabernacles
Five days after the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles begins on the 15th day of the 7th month . It is after or still at the time of the main harvest of: grapes, olives, almonds, figs, dates, pomegranates, cactus fruits, citrus fruits and other fruits. It is the “feast of the harvest at the end of the year, when you have collected the harvest of your work from the field” or “the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end” . The feast was accompanied by great joy, because the tenth saved before could be spent. It was therefore a time of abundance and of physical and spiritual well-being. The Feast of Tabernacles lasts 7 days . The 7th day of the feast is known as Hoshana Rabba , but it is not a feast or high Sabbath. Sukkot is a Thanksgiving feast, a time to say “thank you” to God that we were able to live and bring such a great harvest .
Isaiah 11:6-10: “The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together and a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze their young shall lie down together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. 9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

The Theme Of The Book Of Esther
This theme is crucial for understanding the book of Esther and why John included this sign in his gospel. This theme explains why the Name of God is not mentioned in the book and why prayer is never mentioned. Also why Mordecai is still in Susa on the 13th of Nisan when he should have been back in Jerusalem for Passover on the 14th . It also addresses why there is a lack of spiritual awareness in Esther and Mordecai, and the vengeful spirit so apparent at the end of the book .
Esther and Mordecai were out of the will of God and in unbelief. The expression of faith for an Israelite was for them to Flee the Chaldeans and return to Zion when Cyrus made the decree for the people to return to Zion . Yet a large number of Israelites and Judeans chose to remain outside the Land of Israel, in Babylon and Susa, rather than return to Zion. When a person is out of Gods will, the last Person they want to talk about is the Lord. Thus the Name of God is not mentioned. Sometimes a person in unbelief or out of the will of God will perform religious rituals, just as the Jewish people did in Susa. They fulfilled their religious ritual by fasting for three days, but they did not pray to Him who should have been the LORD their God . They were still part of Gods covenant people, but they were in unbelief.

They are the seven original feast days of the Bible and not the later falsified order by Christians, where a new feast day “Firstfruits” was invented and thereby the seventh high Sabbath, the “Last Great Day of the Assembly” was erased. In the original order of God , the Day of Trumpets is always in the middle of the series of seven holy days of the year, because the return of Jesus is in the center. In contrast, in the representations invented by theologians, Pentecost is usually in the middle because they put themselves and the church in the center instead of Jesus:

- Purim is still joyously celebrated today among Jews with the reading of the entire book of Esther in the synagogue. Using noisemakers, people loudly cheer at the mention of Mordecai’s name and sounds of hissing, stamping of feet and booing can be heard when Haman’s name is spoken.
- Hamantashen is a traditional Jewish treat eaten during Purim. It has three corners and represents Haman’s hat.
- It is common to see Purim plays reenacting the story of Esther on Purim. Street parades and carnivals have also become popular, and people dress up in costumes symbolizing Esther’s concealed identity.
- Jews are required on Purim to give gifts to the poor.
The Feast Of Purim Inaugurated
20 And Mordecai recorded these things and sent letters to all the Jews who were in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far,21 obliging them to keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar and also the fifteenth day of the same, year by year,22 as the days on which the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month that had been turned for them from sorrow into gladness and from mourning into a holiday that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, days for sending gifts of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
29 Then Queen Esther, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew gave full written authority, confirming this second letter about Purim.30 Letters were sent to all the Jews, to the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, in words of peace and truth,31 that these days of Purim should be observed at their appointed seasons, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther obligated them, and as they had obligated themselves and their offspring, with regard to their fasts and their lamenting.32 The command of Esther confirmed these practices of Purim, and it was recorded in writing.

Jesus And The Feast Of Lots
Purim is a celebration of God’s faithfulness, deliverance, and protection. Although the Jews were sentenced to death by King Xerxes’ original decree, through Queen Esther’s courageous intervention and willingness to face death, the people’s lives were spared. Similarly, all of us who have sinned have been issued a decree of death, but through the intervention of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the old decree has been satisfied and a new proclamation of eternal life has been established:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Why Was The Book Of Esther Included In The Bible
The well-known German Jewish historian Heinrich Graetz for example, argued that the Book of Esther was written at the time of the Maccabean struggle against Antiochus IV Epiphanes, in order to boost the spirit of the Jews at that critical time, and to show that god does not abandon its people.

How Is Purim Celebrated
Purim is the most raucous holiday on the Jewish calendar and occurs on the 14 day of the month of Adar. Observance of the holiday begins with dressing up in costume: some people choose to dress as characters from the Purim story, and others dress in non-Purim-related costumes. It is a mitzvah to listen to the story of Purim chanted from Megillat Esther and to hear every word. It is customary to make loud noise with a noisemaker called a raashan in Hebrew, or grager in Yiddish, every time Hamans name is mentioned, in order to fulfill the obligation of blotting out Hamans name. Part of the holiday also includes giving gifts or charity to the poor, called matanot levyonim. A fun tradition on the holiday is to perform a Purim spiel, a satirical show either dramatizing the Purim story in a humorous way, or just a funny skit on any theme.

When the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur begins at sundown on Tuesday, Sept. 18, so will traditional fasting. Additional Feast Days 2021
In addition to the 7 annual or High Sabbaths , which were already decreed by God at the time of Moses, there are still further feast days in Israel, which in the course of the time that follows have come about through special historical events. They are not connected with the harvest. The most important of these are the Purim Feast in the 12th month and the Tisha BeAv on the 9th of Av in the 5th month of the biblical year. On these two feast days, two books of the Feast Scroll are still read out to this day , namely the Book of Esther and the Lamentations of Jeremiah .
Hamentaschen Fazuelos And Kreplach
A traditional treat among the Ashkenazi Jews during this celebration is a triangular, fruit-filled cookie that represents Hamans three-cornered hat. These cookies, referred to as hamentaschen, or Hamans pockets, are made by cutting sweet pastry dough into circles, and wrapping a traditional poppy seed filling into the center of its triangular shape . More recently, prunes, dates, apricots, and chocolate fillings have been introduced.
Among the Sephardic Jews, a fried pastry, called fazuelos, is traditionally eaten, as well as a range of baked or fried pastries called orejas de Haman .
Kreplach is a kind of dumpling filled with cooked meat, chicken, or liver its traditionally served in soup. Hiding the meat inside the dumpling serves as another reminder of Gods hiddenness throughout the story of Esther.

The Fig Tree Generation And The 70
This is a very important sign for the church, because with it Jesus has given a clear time frame, because up to now only one day of Pentecost was spoken of, without indicating which year could be meant.
Jesus’ death was followed by the 2,000-year age of grace , or the age of the Christian church, in which people were called from all peoples and nations. Jesus himself said in the parable of the 10 virgins, “but while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept” . A few verses later, in the parable of the entrusted talents, Jesus said, “After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them” . Indeed, 2,000 years is a long time. The misunderstanding of the alleged Rapture at the time of the early church is based on the inaccurate translation of some verses. Thus, Rev. 22:12 also does not say “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me,” but rather, “I am coming quickly or suddenly,” as the Greek word tachu says . It is therefore a matter of a sudden and rapid appearance of the Lord, which is in harmony with many Bible passages of the NT. So the “I am coming soon” really means “I am coming suddenly and unexpectedly.”
Jesus was speaking not only in the parable of the 10 virgins of two groups of people , but also in other contexts. Already some verses before that he spoke of those who are accepted by him and of the others who are abandoned, that is, left behind:
