Most importantly, Muslims say you dont need to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved!; Muslims will admit that Jesus Christ was a true prophet, but deny that He was the Messiah , they will deny that He was God manifested in the flesh as of the Son of God , and they will deny that He died on the cross and rose again.; Does that make sense?; Absolutely not! That belief cannot be truth because Jesus Christ Himself said He was the Messiah, and said He was the Son of God!

That would make Him a false prophet according to the Muslim beliefs!; How twisted is that?; But its a lie believed by one and a half billion people.; We absolutely must believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, was crucified for our sins and rose again.; This is the gospel!

Are There False Prophets In The New Testament
False prophets were not only a problem in the Old Testament; they also plagued the apostles in the New Testament. For example, the Book of Acts describes an occasion when Barnabas and Paul encountered a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet when the apostles were offering the word of God to the proconsul of Paphos. When the sorcerer tried to oppose their teaching, a Holy Spirit-filled Paul verbally lashed out at the man, causing him to go blind. Amazed, the proconsul believed.
The Apostle Peter warned about false teachers, much like false prophets, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies .
These evildoers will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done .
Protecting Yourself From False Prophets
It would be a mistake to think that Christians no longer need to be concerned about false prophets. Jesus warned the disciples that they would be a problem:
“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time” .
But those who belong to Jesus don’t need to live in constant fear of being led astray. There are simple things that we can do to protect our hearts.
There are those in the world who would lead us astray, but we don’t need to fear them. As long as we are connected to the Vine , we are secure and immovable.

False Teachers Are Driven By Their Own Heads And Hearts
False teachers are venters of the devices and visions of their own heads and hearts. ‘Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent then not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophecy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart ; ‘Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Harken not unto the words of the prophets that prophecy unto you; they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord’ . Are there not multitudes in this nation whose visions are but golden delusions, lying vanities, brain-sick phantasies? These are Satan’s great benefactors, and such as divine justice will hang up in hell as the greatest malefactors, if the physician of souls does not prevent it.
God Usually Gave A Sign
Obviously the first criterion could not consistently be applied because the fulfillment of some prophesies was delayed for hundreds of years. People could not wait till then to determine whether the prophet was of God or not. God usually authenticated his true prophets at the onset of their ministry. After this they were qualified to bring further prophesies and the people recognized them as prophets.
In 1 Kings 13:3-5, the man of God gave a sign that he was truly sent by God. His prophesy later came to pass under the reign of Josiah . God also gave Hezekiah a sign that Isaiahs word would come to pass . Jeremiah was authenticated by God early on when he correctly predicted the imminent death of the false prophet Hananiah . Because God validated his prophets, there was no doubt in the minds of any remotely devout person of their authenticity.
Deuteronomy 13:1-51 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God

There are thousands of “prophecies” that have come from Catholics over the last 1700 years, and many conflict with each other, but there is a central theme of belief in The Great Monarch , and the last Pope , and that this last Pope will work with the final emperor to drive apostates out of Islam, Judaism and Christianity to combine all religions into one global religion.
As we’ve seen with Islamic prophecy, the devil engineered it so closely with Biblical prophecy that it will fool the world into believing it is their prophecy coming to pass when in fact it will be the opposite and will be the Antichrist and False Prophet as told to us in the Bible.

False Teachers Use Clever Language And Appearances To Disguise Themselves
False teachers cover and color their dangerous principles and soul-impostures with very fair speeches and plausible pretenses, with high notions and golden expressions. Many in these days are bewitched and deceived, viz. illumination, revelation, deification, fiery triplicity, &c. As strumpets paint their faces, and deck and perfume their beds, the better to allure and deceive simple souls , so false teachers will put a great deal of paint and garnish upon their most dangerous principles and blasphemies, that they may the better deceive and delude poor ignorant souls. They know sugared poison goes down sweetly; they wrap up their pernicious, soul-killing pills in gold.

What Is The Difference Between A Prophet And A False Prophet
While a prophet is one who receives and then offers the Word of God, a false prophet is one who receives a word by other means, such as divination, fortune-telling, or sorcery, whether a word from their own minds or from other, false gods. These corrupt, dishonest messages are not of God and therefore cannot be trusted.
Sometimes, people posed as true prophets to mislead, such as in Nehemiah 6:10-15, when a false prophet attempted to convince Nehemiah to hide in the temple, but Nehemiah realized it was a trap. With that background, Paul exhorted believers not to make the same choices the Israelites madenot to provoke Gods discipline by willfully sinning. None of us is above Gods discipline if we engage in sin. We must look for and take the way of escape God provides in every situation where temptation is found . To think our temptation is unique is to believe a lie. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man . There are no new temptations in life.
The apostle James argued that if temptation becomes serious, it is because we have allowed it to do so. Our own desires entice us away from God and desire gives birth to sin . God doesnt tempt us, but He may allow temptation to enter our lives in order to give us opportunities to make obedient and mature choices.

Traits Of False Teachers
There were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.;
There are no ifs, ands, or buts in Peters words. Its a clear and definite statement. There;were;false prophets among the people . Thats a matter of history. False prophets were a constant problem in the Old Testament, and those who falsely claimed to be prophets of God were to be stoned. The people rarely had the will to deal with them, so they multiplied, causing disaster to the spiritual life of Gods people.
In the same way Peter says, There;will be;false teachers among you. Notice the words among you. Peter is writing to the church and says, There will be false prophets;among you. So he is not talking about New Age people on television. He is talking about people in the local church, members of a local congregation.
There is no such thing as a pure church this side of heaven. You will never find it. The wheat and the tares grow together. Warren Wiersbe writes:
Satan is the counterfeiter. . . . He has a false gospel , preached by false ministers , producing false Christians . . . . Satan plants his counterfeits wherever God plants true believers .

The bottom line is that false prophets bring a message that is not from God. Their message contradicts what God instructs, often appealing to our earthly cravings or passions. And ultimately, they produce bad fruit.
