A Prayer For Anxiousness
Lord Jesus, the stresses in my life often reach a dangerous proportionor so it seems. My body, mind, and spirit struggle to keep up physically, mentally, and yes, spiritually. Some days anxiety stalks me like a deceitful predator, and the temptation to worry draws me in. In those moments of apprehension, help me remember that I belong to You, and that You are not the author of fear or anxiety, but the giver of love and a sound mind. Teach me Your ways to respond to problems by giving thanks in them. Your Word assures me that You are always there with me.
You are the Blessed Controller of all things, and nothing escapes Your attention in my life. You have given me every tool and spiritual blessing to fight against those things that try to steal my peace. Anxiety is part of the fabric of contemporary life. A fear tends to focus on specifics anxiety is just a kind of general thing. It can come from nowhere at all. Some of us worry about being in crowds, others about being lonely. Some of us are worrying about failing others of us are worrying about the sense of success. How Does God Help Us With Anxiety
Theres nothing that we experience in life that escapes God knowledge. God is always available to help us in times of need and He is interested in our wholistic health and development. He has provided many assurances in His words to remind us of His constant presence and we can also seek Him through meditation and prayer.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33. God knows that we will endure tribulation in this world but He has given us the assurance that through His victory, we too can claim that same victory over anxiety and live in peace.
Satan Wants You To Live In Fear
One thing that Satan wants to do to believers is cause them to live in fear. Even if nothing in your life warrants fear, he will send forth confusion and discouraging thoughts. You can have a secure job and Satan will send fear and cause you to think, what if I get fired. Sometimes he will say things like God will cause you to lose your job to test you.
He can confuse even the godliest believers and cause them to live in anxiety. Ive been there and Ive struggled with this. If youre anything like me, you have faced these battles in your mind. You think that something bad is going to happen. You must recognize where these thoughts come from. These thoughts are from the enemy. Dont believe them! The cure for those struggling with these discouraging thoughts is to trust in the Lord. God says, dont worry about your life. I will be your Provider. I will take care of your needs.
God is in control of our life. I know its easier said than done, but if God is in control, you never have to worry about a thing! There is nothing that goes on in your life that He doesnt know about. You have to be still and get to know who He us. Put your confidence in God.
Say, oh Lord help me to trust in You. Help me to block the negative words of the enemy. Help me to know that your provision, your help, your guidance, your favor, your love, your strength, is not based upon my performance because if it was. I would have been lost, dead, destitute, etc.

You couldnt focus on anything else but the thing that was causing you to panic.
A fear of such immense proportion that afterward you felt all wrung out for days, and half the time you realized later that the thing that sent your entire body into fight or flight was blown out of proportion, but you were helpless to do anything about it.
Ive been there many times. Its a horrible place to be.
