Hen’s Prayer At His Stoning

HOW MANY TIMES IS THE WORD CHRISTIAN MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE | JBS TV | JOHNMADHU

Stephen was the first martyr. His prayer at his death set an example for all those who die for their faith. Even as he died, he prayed for those who killed him. These are very short prayers, but they show a devout adherence to Christ’s principles of turning the other cheek and showing love towards your enemies.

Acts 7:59-60 “While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he fell on his knees and cried out, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ When he had said this, he fell asleep.”

Powerful Prayers For Healing In The Bible

Gratefully, God is still in the business of healing and doing the miraculous.

I have a family member who has been battling cancer for nearly ten years. Weve been praying fervently and consistently for her since the original diagnosis. She recently, after ten years, received her first positive report from her medical team. God is awesome!

2 Kings 20:5-6 Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears surely I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of the Lord. And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.

Should I Use Eloquent Words

Your prayers need not be wordy or impressive in speech:

“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered only by repeating their words again and again.”

Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

Does The Bible Say How Much I Should Pray

Reading of the REAL Lord’s Prayer, Bible Study KJV

Daniel wasn’t an exception, but an example. Learn why we should literally follow the Lord’s instruction to pray day and night.

You were designed to live in regular, on-going fellowship with your Creator and Lord. Without that continuous and deepening bond, you will never fulfill the destiny God has planned for you, and you will never reach your full potential for all that He has you on earth to be and do. The maintenance of your relationship with God takes active, purposeful thought, self-discipline, and intentionality in order to succeed. Almost every relationship in your life takes focus and initiative if it is to succeed, and your walk with God is no different.

God loves you and wants you to succeed in your walk with Him and your life more generally. He knows even better than you do your need for His abiding influence and presence. So that you would know how to live, He has made plain in the Scriptures how you are to commune with Him on a daily basis. The pattern He sets forward in the Scriptures and which has been practiced by many through the years is that of praying and reading the Bible two or three set times per day, either on your own or while gathered with fellow Christians. Unfortunately, this is not the pattern of the vast majority of Christians in the West and the West is suffering for it. When Christians do not have a solid, continuous walk with the Lord, all of society suffers for it.

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will. Matthew 26:39

And Samson prayed for the Lord to remember Him:

Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes! Judges 16:28
