What Are The 7 Trumpets In The Bible

The Cloud Of 1963 Was Not The Angel Of Revelation 10

Lesson 7: âThe Seven Trumpetsâ? – 3ABN Sabbath School Panel – Q1 2019

64-0119 SHALOM

And when the great Director comes down and bears that stick down, then, “time shall be no more.” When that Angel, of Revelation the 10th chapter, puts one foot on land and one on the sea, and a rainbow over His head, He swore, “time shall be no more.”

When that time comes, you will rise up from among the dead.

While the rest of them lay there, you will go in.

The dead have not risen.

So, this quote, one year after the cloud, has brother Branham looking for the mighty Angel in the future.

The cloud was not the coming of the Lord.

The Lord does not come to a desert.

MATTHEW 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you,

Behold, he is in the desert go not forth:

The supernatural cloud of 28 February 1963 was just north of the city of Flagstaff in Arizona, and was only visible for 28 minutes after sunset at the height of 42 kilometers.

The seven angels came to brother Branham 8 days later near Sunset Peak, 200 miles south of Flagstaff. No cloud was formed that day by the angels either as they descended or ascended.

But Sunset Peak is in the great Sonoran desert.

And Christ will not come in the desert.

The supernatural cloud was not an event in itself , but it was the sign of the Son of man in the Heaven.

MATTHEW 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:

A sign that the secrets of the Seven Seals were going to be revealed so that we could then start understanding the Bible’s mysteries.

Why does Matthew not record the ascension of Jesus?

Protection For The Saints

We see that believers aren’t taken off the earth during the Great Tribulation. But God will protect believers during this time of severe distress. The most specific reference to the protection that God promises for His people at the end of the age is in Revelation 12.

Revelation 12:14Revelation 12:14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.American King James Version×says, “But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.” The times here denote yearsone plus two plus one half , equaling 3 12 years, the period of the Great Tribulation and Day of the Lord. And note that the protection is not in heaven but in the wilderness, or the desert as it’s often translated. It’s on the earth, not in heaven.

There’s more to the story. The context tells us that at least part of God’s people will suffer persecution while God protects the rest of the faithful: “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” . It is possible that the result of this persecution will be martyrdom.

What Does The Seventh Trumpet Represent

The Bible describes a seventh trumpet that will sound before Christs return. What does the sound of this seventh trumpet mean to you?

The book of Revelation gives us a summary of the prophetic events that will take place in the end time, before the return of Christ and beyond.

This section of Scripture uses various symbols, such as the seven seals, the sound of seven trumpets and seven last plagues that will be poured out from seven golden bowls, filled with the wrath of God .

The seals, trumpets, and plagues represent a series of events that will affect all of humanity during a crucial period. In fact, the sound of the seventh trumpet heralds the completion of Gods plan for this world and the last steps he will take to ensure the fulfillment of his purpose.

What does the Bible say about this final trumpet and what does it mean to you?

Trumpet 6 Versus Vial 6

The Seven Trumpets

What do you see in common between the sixth trumpet and vial?

During the sixth trumpet and the sixth vial, you see the great river Euphrates mentioned for both. Four angels are loosed with the sixth trumpet, and the river is dried up with the sixth vial.

This makes a lot of sense because the water is dried up and the four angels that were bound are loosed from the river.

What Do The Seven Seals Of Revelation Mean

These seals make an appearance in Revelation 6:1-17 and Revelation 8:1-5. When John sees a scroll in heaven, which no being except for the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David can open , John watches as God breaks open the seals one by one to unfurl the scroll.

The First Seal

This first seal introduces the antichrist onto the scene as a rider of a white horse. This rider wears a crown and will deceive many with talks of peace, but he will wage war against the saints.

The Second Seal

Despite the promises of peace from the antichrist, warfare will break out after this seal breaks. A red rider on a horse slays a great number of people.

The Third Seal

A rider on a black horse will spread famine throughout the earth. With whatever population is left on the earth from after the warfare, they will have to survive by bare means of food.

The Fourth Seal

Death, riding upon a pale horse, wipes out one-fourth of the earth. Many had attributed the events of the second through fourth seals to the great wars, famines, and bubonic plague which wiped out good portions of Europe in the 14th century.

The Fifth Seal

Those martyred will ask God how long until He judges the earth. They are told a little while longer and given a white robe.

The Sixth Seal

Catastrophic natural events take place from a rattling earthquake, the sun turning black, the moon turning blood-red, and mountains and islands disappearing.

And the 7 trumpets arent blown after all of the 7 vials are poured out.

Theres a HUGE amount of false preaching when it comes to the Book of Revelation. Its difficult to find the truth, but you can be the judge today.

“Revelationâs Startling Predictions for the 21st Century” | 01- Revelation’s Ancient Discoveries

Have the seven thunders which equals seven mysteries already been revealed? Were they revealed in the seven Seals, but are yet not known to us as the thunders yet?

No, they were revealed in the seven Seals that’s what the thunders was about.

He said the Thunders were revealed in the Seals.

What the Thunders was about.

In other words, their function or purpose in Gods plan.

What they have to do: Give rapturing faith to the Bride. Give supernatural power to the two Jewish prophets. Reveal the new name of Jesus. Reveal when the Lord is coming.

But what was not revealed is what they actually utter, their content or what they will say. That remains a top-secret that is not to be known.

We do not know the new name.

We do not know when Jesus is coming.

We cannot be raptured in these bodies, so we cannot yet have rapturing faith.

The Thunders will show us how to get our new bodies because only then can we get rapturing faith.

The two prophets do not yet have the power to interrupt nature.

So, it has been revealed to us what the seven Thunders will do, but so far, none of that has yet been done.

When it will happen, and how it will happen, remains a complete mystery.

What Will Happen To Faithful Christians At The Seventh Trumpet

Another event that the 24 elders mention is the judgment of the dead and the rewards of the faithful.

The Bible reveals that the sounding of the seventh trumpet has been a great hope for the saints throughout the ages. The Bible reveals that the sound of the seventh trumpet has been a great hope for the saints throughout the ages. Describing the future resurrection of the saints, Paul writes: Behold, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep but we will all be transformed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be transformed .

On another occasion, the apostle explained: the Lord himself with a commanding voice, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, will descend from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we will always be with the Lord .

The Trumpets And The War

Fundamental was the use of trumpets when the Hebrew people stormed Jericho, the walled city Following the instructions given by God, priests and warriors, together with the people, managed to take the city. The power of God, manifested by the sound of the trumpets and in the final battle cry, gave his people the resounding victory.

What Is The Significance Of The Trumpet

In addition, the trumpet is more closely associated with power than any other instrument. This power symbolism is particularly closely related to wars and rulers. The sound of the trumpet has always denoted military strength, whether this was as a signaling instrument in battle or in a military band.

What Are The 7 Trumpets In The Bible

7th Trumpet

In the Book of Revelation, seven trumpets are sounded, one at a time, to cue apocalyptic events seen by John of Patmos in his vision . The seven trumpets are sounded by seven angels and the events that follow are described in detail from Revelation Chapters 8 to 11.

Impact Of The Seven Trumpets

Because of mankinds disobedience to His holy and beneficial laws, God will bring this severe punishment upon earths inhabitants.Because of mankinds disobedience to His holy and beneficial laws, God will bring this severe punishment upon earths inhabitants.

The effects of the first six trumpets will include an ecological disaster of epic proportion. And as the planet struggles to support life, humans will have to endure such intense pain that they will desire to die and many will indeed die, as noted in the description of the sixth trumpet .

While one would think that such intense punishment would cause people to repent of their sins, this will not occur.

Humans are going to be so set on their freedom to break Gods laws that they will be willing to die for their way of life rather than repent. What a truly sad state of deception Satan has perpetrated upon mankind !

Because people will not repent, seven additional punishments called the seven last plagues will come upon mankind.

Views On The Trumpets

Mystery of God is finished. Mystery of God is finished. Sets final events in motion. Time of the end when the mystery of Godis accomplished.

The chart reveals a number of important points. First, it is clear that the traditional view among Adventists, represented by Uriah Smith, is not strongly supported by many interpreters. However, the fact that one scholar has recently provided a valuable exposition and defense of the trumpets along the lines of Smiths indicates that this interpretation should not be easily dismissed. Second, none of the other interpreters follow Smith in his interpretation of the first four trumpets. In fact, if this sample of expositors is of any value, one could easily conclude that a new consensus seems to be emerging in the interpretation of the first four trumpets that radically differs from the views of Smith. Third, there are some significant interpretational differences with respect to the fifth and sixth trumpets. Two interpreters sided with Uriah Smith in their interpretation of the fifth trumpet and three on the sixth trumpet . But we find among them variations in some details. This suggests that Smiths interpretation has not been totally put to rest.

What Do The Seven Trumpets Have To Do With Me Today

In 2 Timothy 4:1-2, Paul tells us how we are to behave and what we are to do as we prepare for the seventh trumpet to blow and the and bowl judgments approach:

I charge you in the presence of God and of Jesus Christ who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing Preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patients and in teaching.

Preach means to share the Gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. Instruct means to teach Christ-followers how to live on earth in a way that honors God. Exhort means to encourage others with the truth that Jesus has taken back the world through His death, burial, and resurrection. He will return and reign forever and ever!

Jason, I hope this helps to give you a better idea of what the Seven Trumpets meanand that you are encouraged in the knowledge of Gods justice.

Roger

Next The Seventh Seal Opens To Reveal The Seven Trumpets

07 – “Seven Seals Opened and Opening!” – The Incomparable Jesus

Right before the seven trumpets are blown, there is a thirty-minute interval of silence before the first trumpet sounds forth. Remember that heaven is filled with unending praise! So, this silence is ominous and unprecedented.

Why? What did the angels see? I believe that they see the end of the human race! They see the full extent of what man’s rebellion against God has done. What they see is terrifying and it takes their breath away.

Then, seven angels stepped forward to blow the seven trumpets Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets which were given to them .

At that moment, John sees the Altar of Incense, which represents the answered prayers of the martyred saints. They asked to God to avenge their martyrdom. Jesus is mingling their prayers with His blood before He executes judgment.

And the same God who has been pleading and interceding on behalf of the souls of humankind now turns to judge the world, pouring out His wrath and judgment upon those who would not receive Jesus as Savior .

Im reminded of Pauls teaching in 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, where he declares The Gospel is sweet to those who are saved but, it is the fragrance of death to those who are perishing.

Don’t Miss: How Many Times In The Bible Does It Say Fear Not

The First Two Trumpets

In Revelation 8:7, John describes an apocalyptic vision. His vision explains the triggering event of the sounding of the first trumpet hail and fire mixed with blood falling to the ground, and approximately 33% of all of the grass and trees in the known world destroyed.

During World War I, large amounts of artillery shells and chemical agents were released on troops for the first time in history through modern warfare, killing over 8 million people. Soldiers on both sides burned vast tracts of land in order to eliminate any natural or man-made items that their enemies could use.

Another war, World War II is also the event that was triggered by the sounding of the second trumpet. Looking to Revelation 8:8-9, the Bible explains that a third of the ships involved in the conflict that coincides with the activation of this trumpet will be destroyed. During World War II, approximately one third of the ships that participated in the conflict were sunk. In turn, the nuclear bomb deployed at Hiroshima resembled something like a great mountain burning with fire, a sight that was new on the world stage.
