The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

H4 Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

H4 How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the “When inside of” nested selector system.

The Significance Of Abba Father

Only three times in scripture do we find the term Abba Father. With all of the names for God, why is it only used once by Jesus and twice by Paul?

First, lets go over what Abba means. Most of us have been taught that Abba is equivalent with the English Daddy, but Him Publication goes into a different detail which made so much sense to me that I had to share it!

He tells a story about a father instructing his son on his first visit to Israel. The father prompted the young boy to reply to his instruction with Abba.

While we know the intimacy implied with the word Abba, this was the first I had understood it to be linked to obedience. Jesus usually refers to God as his father which comes from the Greek with the exception of when He is praying in the Garden of Gethsemene.

He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.

Jesus is being obedient to his father. Not only is he crying out to Him in an intimate way, but he is also expressing his willingness to do His fathers will.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, Abba, Father! Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

God The Most Loving Father

While I can do my best to live out Gods example as a father, Im still an imperfect vessel. Only God Himself can truly be the perfect example of a father. A father thats loving, compassionate, caring and forgiving. Im so glad that I can call Him father.

Even if you dont have a relationship with your earthly father, you can have one with your heavenly father. If you repent and confess your sins , and put your trust in Him, you can be born again and inherit eternal life .

He loves you, and wants to have a relationship with you. Hell be the most loving and caring father you could hope for.

If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentilethe same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Rom 10:9-13

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

The Crime Of Incest Defined

Incest is defined as: The crime of sexual intercourse or cohabitation between a man and woman who are related to each other within the degrees wherein marriage is prohibited by law .

Incest has been held to be repulsive, dangerous, and illegal among many civilizations even some of the most primitive. In ancient Rome, Augustus implemented a law against incest, and children born to incestuous relationships were deemed illegitimate.

Modern laws against incest appear to be grounded mainly in the Levitical code .

Did Paul Sanction Incest

Best Happy Fathers Day Quotes from Daughter, Wife, Son ...

In the seventh chapter of his First Corinthian letter, Paul, by the inspiration of the Spirit, gave a variety of instructions pertaining to the marriage relationship. Some of these were fixed rigidly as a matter of moral correctness. Others were given by way of the apostles seasoned advice.

One of the historical realities woven into the fabric of Pauls message is that of serious, impending persecution that threatened the ancient saints . Some of his instructions hinged on the premise of this coming reality.

Here is the passage that is the focus of this tempest in a teapot controversy.

But if any man thinks that he is behaving himself unseemly toward his virgin daughter, if she be past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he will he is not sinning let them marry .

To foist upon this text the meaning that a father is allowed to marry his own daughter if he cannot resist the temptation of being intimate with her is one of the most perverse misappropriations of scripture imaginable.

Let us examine the context with common sense.

First, the historical or cultural circumstances must be taken into consideration. At that time, parents arranged their childrens marriages more often than not. A father could consent to his daughters marriage or withhold permission, depending upon the circumstances.

It is against this background that Pauls advice takes its rise.

In view of the foregoing, we would paraphrase verse 36 as follows:

Bible Verses About Being A Good Father

I suppose the idea of what makes a good father is subject to ones own thoughts and experiences, but scripture makes one thing very clear. A good father brings his children up in the knowledge and instruction of the Lord. A fathers most important role is leading his children to the Heavenly Father and teaching them of the only one who can save them.

The popular concept is that a father should protect his children, putting himself second to their needs. In reality, they are limited and their power is tiny compared to Gods which is why earthly fathers should always be pointing the way to the Heavenly Fathers love.

Here are a few Bible verses about fathers love with the idea of this important role.

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Train up a child in the way he should go,And when he is old he will not depart from it.

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

It is not enough to be a silent bystander, only supplying the physical needs of your children. It is the responsibility of the father to teach their children Gods truth. Of course, we all make our own decisions and choose our own path, but that path must begin with Gods teachings.

It is the father who sets the standard, the example.

The One Who Loves Their Children Is Careful To Discipline Them

âWhoever spares the rod hates their children,

but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.â

Everyone makes mistakes, and we all sin. But when children make poor choices, disobey, or hurt others, itâs not always immediately clear to them that theyâve done something wrong. They may not understand why what they did was wrong. And if it resulted in something they desired, they may be more motivated to do it again.

Consequences help us avoid repeating bad behavior. Sometimes âdisciplineâ is as simple as talking to a child about what theyâve done and why it was wrong. Sometimes the consequences are more severe. But itâs never comfortable or pleasant. Good fathers recognize that discipline comes from a place of love and a desire to teach your children what is right.

A Fathers Greatest Joy

âI have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.â

When a child pursues truth and walks in wisdom, it makes their father joyful because he can trust his children to make good choices, represent his family well, and focus on what is rightâregardless of their circumstances. Seeing your child walk in truth assures you that they can handle whatever comes their way.

What Is The Significance Of Firstborn In The Bible

What does the bible say about sexuality?

Im going to copy some articles on this subject, but let me give you my summation of all of them. In the Old Testament, the firstborn son was the one who normally received a double inheritance, and was the one who would inherit his fathers role as head of the family. God sometimes reversed this order, as he did with Jacob and Esau , and as Jacob later did with Ephraim and Manasseh . Reuben was the firstborn of Jacob, but his rights as the firstborn were taken away because of his sin .

The term firstborn therefore has two main meanings. The first is more literal, referring to the fact that this son is the first son to be born of his father. The second meaning refers to the rights and authority of a person, because they are the firstborn. Our Lord is the firstborn in several ways, as one of the attached articles indicates. But most of all He is the One who has been appointed by God to be in authority over all things .

Closely related is the expression son . I understand the expressions, Thou art My Son, Today I have begotten Thee and I will be a Father to Him, And He shall be a Son to Me to be synonymous. This speaks not of the birth of our Lord , but of His installation as King of the earth by His Father.

What Does The Bible Say About A Fathers Love

One of the most beautiful examples of a fathers love in scripture is the parable Jesus tells of the prodigal son.

A father has two sons. The younger is quite bold and a bit self-centered and asks his father for his inheritence. Kinda gutsy if you ask me, requesting an inheritance before your father has passed. Because the father loves his son and wants to make him happy, he gives him the inheritance.

With a complete lack of appreciation and respect, the man goes off to a distant land and enjoys his new found wealth and freedom. He spends his money foolishly, engaging in all kinds of sinful activities.

As we all know, this kind of behavior always turns to bite us in the bum and he soon runs out of money. A famine comes upon the land and the man cannot get a job. He has no home, no money, and no food. Finding himself in a desperate situation, when the only job he can get is feeding pigs for a farmer and the pig food looks appetizing to him.

He regrets his behavior and in desperation decides to go back to his home and ask his father to employ him as a servant. Having been humbled by his experiences, the young man heads home.

Now, we dont know exactly what the father had been thinking all this time, but he was clearly worried about his son. As soon as the young man came into view, the father goes running out to meet him. No judgement, no criticizing, only acceptance.

In our fathers love we find acceptance, forgiveness, and salvation.

His Father Saw Him And Was Filled With Compassion For Him

âBut while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.â

The Prodigal Son is a powerful portrayal of a loving father. The father in Jesusâ story symbolizes God and his love for us, and he also shows us a love every dad should aspire to. His son effectively said, âI wish you were dead so I could have my inheritanceâ and then abandoned him. Despite the hurt he surely felt, the father not only welcomed his son with open arms, but he ran to greet him, hugging and kissing him.

At times children deeply wound their fathers. The ideal father humbles himself and doesnât allow his pain or frustration to overpower his love.

How The Bible Calls Dads To Father Their Daughters

What does it mean that God is father to the fatherless?

Over the past several weeks, we took a look on both sides of the blog at how we as both youth ministers and parents might love and disciple our boys and girls well and with prayerful, thoughtful intention, within their God-given genders. One week we focused on boys, another week we focused on girls, and this week we will wrap up with a few more pieces about discipling girls.

We had never met. I hadnt held her in my arms, seen her beautiful, bright blue eyes she got from my wife, heard her belly-laugh, felt her hand wrapped around my finger, seen her dance with joyful abandon. On the ultrasound screen there was nothing but a grey and black profile of my daughter with her hands gesturing near her mouth, a little girl seemingly singing from the womb. And yet, the feelings I had were those of an Enneagram 8 dad coming upon stores of love in his heart he never knew possible protection, provision, a fear of loss, and a deep sense of duty.

I had thoughts I hadnt anticipated and, up until that point, had never thought in my life:

Im going to hate every boy she brings home.

Im going to have to give her away one day.

Being A Father Like God The Father

God our father in heaven is the perfect example of what a father should be. Strong, courageous, compassionate and even-tempered. We would do well to follow His example in all that we do.

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard stand firm in the faith be courageous be strong.

Deuteronomy 1:29-31 Then I said to you, Do not be terrified do not be afraid of them. The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.

Malachi 4:6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.

Psalm 103:13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.

Proverbs 17:27 The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.

Proverbs 17:24 A discerning man keeps wisdom in view, but a fools eyes wander to the ends of the earth.

Proverbs 14:26 Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.

Proverbs 10:9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.
