Bible Study: Gods Unconditional Love
The Father has an amazing love for all people.
Everyone wants to be cherished. But human devotion isnt always dependable. Even the most stable relationships change over time, according to how the lovers feel, the way they treat each other, and whether life is stressful or not.
We can be thankful that Gods love is quite different. Lets look at a few principles that describe His amazing affection for people.
1. Gods love is intrinsic to His nature. First John tells us God is the source of love . It also reveals that love is not only one of the Creators fundamental character traitsHe is love in His very being .
- When you think of the Lord, do you picture Him as loving? Explain.
Contrary to the worlds mindset, the fact that God is love does not mean He winks at or excuses sin . However, He forgives us if we are humble enough to ask.
2. Gods love is universal. He has compassion on both believers and unbelievers.
- According to John 3:16, what motivated God to send Jesus to earth?
- Has God given you a love for those who dont yet know Him? If not, ask Him to fill you with a genuine love for them and to show you how to share His love.
3. Gods love is unconditional. Unlike earthly affection, His love doesnt fluctuate. The Father doesnt care for us more when we have pleased Him or less when we have failed or sinned.
- What encouragement does Romans 5:8 offer to those who feel God loves them less when they fail?
- Does this phrase describe you? Why or why not?
To Be Like Christ You Have To Love Unconditionally
This is easier said than done. It is easy to love those that are easy to love. But how difficult is it when God asks you to love someone who is annoying and mistreats you over and over again?
Love is an action. It takes practice. It is not just a feeling that is here today and gone tomorrow.
It takes work to maintain and means knowing who Jesus is so you can love others like He did. It takes communication, sacrifice, and commitment to be more like Him.
Praying, listening, journaling, and attending church regularly are just some of the ways you can practice nurturing your relationship with God so you can nurture your relationships with others, too.
Does God Love Everyone Unconditionally
If Gods love is unconditional, why is the Bible filled with conditions? Will God love me if Im spiritual but not religious?
Announcer: Wed like to introduce to you our host for that for Thats in the Bible Live, Brother Richie Juatco!
Brother Richie: Hello Seattle! Hows everyone? Hows everyone today? Welcome to Thats in the Bible Live. Were actually live here on location in beautiful Seattle, Washington. And were here at the INC Media Experience event or INCMX.
For those that dont know what Thats in the Bible is, its a program where we take questions from people all around the world, wondering what is in the Bible and how it applies to our lives. Now, prior to this event, we actually sent out a camera crew to your beautiful city to find out if there was anyone in the city that had any questions that theyve been wondering for some time. And they were hoping that they could find an answer from the Bible. So first of all, we would like to thank all those that asked questions to our camera crew, even those that reached out to us via email. But we wouldnt especially like to thank Robert, Mark and Tyswanekwa, because the questions that they asked, were going to feature on our show today.

What Does The Bible Say About Loving Others
We have lost sight of love. No longer do we love others the way we should and this is a huge problem in Christianity. Were afraid to love others. There are many believers who need support from the body of Christ but the body has been blinded by selfishness. We say we want to love like how Christ loved but is it true? Im tired of words because love doesnt come from the mouth, it comes from the heart.
Love is not blind to what is going on. Love sees what other people do not see. God made a way even though He didnt have to make a way. Love moves like God even though it doesnt have to move. Love turns into action!
Love causes you to weep with others, sacrifice for others, forgive others, include others in your activities, etc. One of the most disturbing things that I have noticed in Christian churches today is that we have our own cliques.
Within the church we have made a reflection of the world. Theres the cool crowd and it circle that only wants to associate with certain people which reveals a heart of haughtiness. If this is you, then repent. When you realize Gods love for you, then you want to pour out that love upon others.
A loving heart seeks out those who need love. A loving heart is bold. It doesnt make excuses on why it cant love. If you ask for it God is going to put people in your life who need your love. Its time for a change. Allow the love of God to change you and compel you to make sacrifices.
God’s Love Is Unconditional Unlimited And Complete
There is no better or higher level of love to reach with God. There are no levels to His love.
To love others with God’s uncondtional love means to replace judgement with grace. It means to love them no matter what they do or say.
We don’t all naturally show the love of God. We have to practice. It’s a choice!
The closer we are to God, the easier it is to practice and live in agape love. I encourage you to make the effort. Study the characteristics of love as described in 1 Corinthians 13. Pray for strength to love better, wiser, longer and with the goal to love like God. You will never regret it.

You Can Never Lose Unconditional Love
In the story of the lost son in Luke, both the prodigal son and the eldest son are lost in different ways. The eldest brother cant understand why his younger brother is getting celebrated for his repentance, while he, the eldest, does the right thing by taking care of his father and is not rewarded.
Look! All these years Ive been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!
Yet readers find in this story an unconditional love that seems unbelievable: My son, the father said, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again he was lost and is found .
Nothing can separate you from the love of God, no matter how badly you believe you have messed up your life. With a heart of repentance, you can always come back to the Father. He will greet you with a kiss and invite you to a party thrown in your honor.
Is Cremation A Sin In Christianity
A: In the Bible, cremation is not labeled a sinful practice. Frankly, the topic is not dealt with at all in terms of the detailed lists of instructions for living and dying set forth by almighty God in the Old and New testaments. The short answer to your question appears to be no, cremation is not a sin.

Real Love Is Powerful
Real love IS the most powerful agent of change and healing. When someone receives real love they feel safe in relationships. Being loved despite your imperfections makes a person blossom. Being loved for who you are rather than what you do, empowers people to let their creativity or unique flavor out for people to see To be themselves. We were all created to shine in different areas and real love unlocks that potential. It removes fear of not being good enough or making a mistake.
Lastly, receiving real love can remove feelings of loneliness, perfectionism, rejection, and isolation. Love reminds people that they have an ally that will fight to see them as a beautiful reflection of God and stick with them through lifes difficult moments, No matter what!
So, my prayer is that we would not desire relationship with others for just the good feels. I pray that we would be so fiercely in love with our friends, family, spouses that we would want to stand by them through their darkest moments .
Lord remove selfish ambitions from our hearts, give us hope for hopeless circumstances, and give us a pure and unshakable love for others.

Bible Verses About Love For Others
At Compassion, Gods love is our motivation for releasing children from poverty. Child sponsorship is a powerful demonstration of Gods love to a child in need. When you sponsor a child you empower them to overcome poverty. You show a child born into extreme fragility that theyre known and valued.
Hilda from Peru was sponsored with Compassion as a child. One of my neighbours told me about Compassion at my local church. I was sponsored through Compassion and started to go to the project every week. I was fed there and learnt how to take care of myself. I learnt I was special and that God loved me. My sponsor wrote me letters, they loved me so much even though we never met in person All I can say is thank you so much for your love which showed me Gods love.
- 1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

Bible Verses About Not Judging Others
Even when I can muster up the strength to accept myself, I still struggle with judging others. But God is so clear on the command to not judge others. Check out some of these bible verses about not judging others that fit our topic of Bible verses about acceptance of others!
Romans 14:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned pardon, and you will be pardoned.
Matthew 7:1-2 Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
Romans 14:1-2 Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only.
How Can I Be Put Right With God
So we can ask the Bible that. What does the Bible say about those want to be with God, kind of on their own terms where they are in life. Lets read from whats recorded here in Romans, chapter 10. This is what God through Apostle Paul says very clearly about those that want to be with God. He says here:
I can assure you, they are deeply devoted to God but their devotion is not based on true knowledge. They have not known the way in which God puts people right with himself, and instead, they have tried to set up their own way and so they did not submit themselves to Gods way of putting people right.
Brother Richie: According to what we are learning from what is in the Bible, God has His own way of putting people right with Himself. So again, Gods the One that comes up with the way. Hes the one that comes up with the conditions, Hes the one that has His own terms on how to connect with Him. And the people that dont know that way, the Bible says theyve resorted to coming up with their own way. We can attest to that. We can see there are so many different people coming up with different ways. And although they might be very devoted in the way that they have selected, the Biblical truth is: its not based on true knowledge.
but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.
Trying to come up with our own way wont lead to God

Actions Motivated By Love
We should be motivated by love when we do things.
I must be honest. Ive struggled in this area. You can always fool others, you can even fool yourself, but you can never fool God. God looks at the heart. God looks at why you did the things that you did. I have to always examine my heart.
Did I witness out of guilt or did I witness out of love for the lost? Did I give with a cheerful heart or did I give with a grudging heart? Did I offer hoping he said yes or did I offer hoping he said no? Do you pray for others expecting to be heard by God or to be heard by man?
I believe many people think they are Christian, but they are just lost religious churchgoers. In the same way, many people do good works but it means nothing to God. Why? It means nothing because the heart does not align with the act. Why do you do the things that you do? You cant love if the heart is not right.
20. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak human or angelic languages but do not have love, I am a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I donate all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
22. Proverbs 26:25 They pretend to be kind, but dont believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils.
The Biblical Meaning Of Unconditional Love
To love someone unconditionally, you cant be at the whims of your mood or feelings in a moment. If you dont feel loving, but act loving, its unconditional love.
Unconditional love means choosing to love regardless of circumstances. To love unconditionally is to decide to love someone regardless of any circumstances about them and to keep loving them no matter what they do. It means acting kindly even when someone doesnt deserve it. Unconditional love depends on the givers commitment, not the qualification of the recipient.
Paul describes the unconditional love of God in Romans 8:38-39.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate us from Gods love. Its unconditional and undefeatable.

What Is Unconditional Love
God indeed has loved all of us unconditionally. His love is safe, secure and you can always count on it. Because He loves us unconditionally, He is also gracious and merciful, willing to forgive our sins.

Everyone wants to be loved, and we all hope that those who love us do so unconditionally. Christians believe that God loved us unconditionally, but few can really define it. What is unconditional love?
Some Bible Verses About Acceptance Of Yourself
It is difficult to accept others often because it is so hard to accept myself. Can you relate?
It may seem like you have it all together, but you are probably your worst critic. Right? You mess up, then beat yourself up for days, weeks, or months about that mistake. All the while, God has forgiven you, redeemed the mistake, and grown you up from it. Still, you are struggling to accept yourself.
Jude 1:22-25 And have mercy on some, who are doubting save others, snatching them out of the fire and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
We will always fail at times. One reason we desperately need to be in a community is so there are others to help us when we doubt and are drawn to the fire of sin.
