The Spiritual Battle For Your Marriage

Here’s What The Bible Says About The Rapture

God designed marriage to reflect His love to the world and because of this, the enemy wants to destroy Gods beautiful design. Based on his book, Defending Your Marriage, Dr. Tim and Noreen Muehlhoff share about the reality of spiritual warfare against marriages, and how to combat the enemys lies with the truth of God. Couples will be encouraged that theyre not alone in the fight for a godly marriage and better equipped to be a shining example for the world around them.

If The Rapture Occurred Would You Be Ready

If there is a rapture will you be raptured? As mentioned earlier, Jesus parable of the ten virgins from Matthew 25 is given as a warning for this world, as is the continual warning throughout the Gospel that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. You will either be prepared with the Holy Spirit confirming this within you and Christs light shining in your life, or you will not be prepared without the light and the rapture will occur and you will be left behind.

Are you ready and prepared? Have you heeded the warning from the Gospel? Are you shining your light in preparation for the arrival of Christ and as a witness to the Light of the world?

You can be prepared by believing in Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, that He is indeed the only sure salvation and that He is able and willing to forgive you and receive you unto Him in the last day. Please read how to become a Christian today.

49. Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

50. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like a man, be strong.

The events that mark the Second Coming of Jesus were known to saints of old as the Blessed Hope . This Blessed Hope is to be waited upon with anticipation as it beacons us aliens to remember that we belong to another Kingdom and another Land, one whose King reigns victorious over all.

Christs Return Will Be Visible

The return of Christ will be visible universally, not invisible or secretive, known only by a few.

In Matthew 24:15-22 Jesus described the conditions to be associated with the destruction of Jerusalem. In connection therewith, he warns that if anyone claims, Lo, here is the Christ, it was not to be believed:

For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west so houtos@, “in this manner”] shall be the coming [@parousia of the Son of Man” .

As those early disciples beheld Christs departure , so in like manner would He come again.

The coming of the Lord will involve a revelation” of His being .

At his coming, Christ will be manifested . When this term is used in the passive voice, as in 1 John 2:28, it means to show or reveal oneself, be revealed, appear to someone .

As Jesus was visible during his first appearing on earth , so will He be visible when He appears at His second coming .

At his coming, it is said that Christ “shall appear a SECOND time” .

If Lindsey and his dispensational kin are correct, Christ will not appear until his THIRD coming!

What Is The Difference Between The Rapture And The Second Coming

434 best The rapture/end times images on Pinterest

The Rapture is a sign of the Second Coming of Christ. Scripture describes them as two separate events, though as discussed earlier, there are a variety of interpretations on the timing of the rapture. But all views agree that the rapture occurs before the Second Coming . The Second Coming is when Christ returns in victory over Satan and his followers and sets up His kingdom on the earth.

38. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

39. Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

41. Revelation 1:7 Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!

Are The Elect Raptured Before The Tribulation

One must question, if the elect, or Gods people, are raptured before the great tribulation, why would they need the days shortened? Actually, all throughout the Bible, we are given examples of Gods people being saved in the middle of tribulations, not being saved before it.

  • When the Israelites were captive in Egypt, God preserved them in the midst of the plagues that devastated Egypt. Just as Israel was delivered from Egyptian bondage after the plagues, so God’s church will be protected through the plagues and be delivered from the hand of the oppressor .
  • Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego entered the flames when they refused to yield to the universal death decree of Babylon’s King. Their death-defying faith forced them to face the flames of tribulation, and in those flames God miraculously delivered them .
  • Daniels decision to be faithful in his daily prayers caused him to be tossed into the lions den. God saved Daniel while he was going through tribulation, not before it came .

Similarly, right before Christ returns, the faithfulness of the elect will cause them to be the target of the ungodly, bringing about a time of persecution and great tribulation. However, just as throughout all of Biblical history, God preserves His elect. The same Jesus that was with the Hebrew men in the fire and lions den, will go with us through our trials. When the last day judgments are poured out on the world, God will shield those who follow Him with all their heart and mind.

What Does The Bible Really Say About The Rapture

While our final destination of living in the New Heaven and New Earth with God may seem a long time away, it is no time for God. The rapture is the catalyst of these future events of eschatology.

The rapture of the church is a hotly debated topic among Christians in the present day, within academic settings as well as in church settings. There are many different views surrounding the rapture, which have been developed by various scholars over time.

Depending on the view you hold will affect how you view the events of eschatology. In this article, we are going to be discussing what the Bible says about the rapture.

Speculation About The Rapture

Those who believe in a future Rapture regard it to be a sudden and cataclysmic event unlike any other phenomenon in history in which millions of people will disappear without warning. As a result, tragic and unexplained accidents will occur on a wide scale basis, ushering in the tribulation period.

Many speculate that non-believers left behind will come to believe in Jesus Christ as a result of the Rapture. Others left behind will remain in disbelief, finding theories to rationalize the bizarre event.

Is Jesus’ Second Coming Secret

Pre-Tribulation Rapture Does the Bible REALLY Say That?

Another Bible text makes it even more clear that Jesus will not return secretly. Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him . This text says that when Jesus comes, every eyeeveryone on earthwill see Him come. That doesnt sound like He is coming secretly! Matthew says that Jesus coming will be as visible as the lightning that flashes from one end of the sky to the other. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be . The Bible says that Jesus will come in glory with the angels that He will come with the shout of the archangel and a blast from the trumpet of God that the wicked will see Him coming and cry out for the rocks and mountains to fall on them and hide them from His face and that He will return as King of kings, leading the armies of heavenly angels . All these texts make it clear that Jesus coming is anything but secret!

The Second Coming Of Christ

We believe in the second coming of Christ. His return from heaven will be personal, visible and glorious, a blessed hope for which we should constantly watch and pray.1

Before He establishes His kingdom on earth, Jesus will come for His Church, an event commonly referred to as the “Rapture.” At that time the dead in Christ will be raised and living Christians will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and be with Him forever.2 In this resurrection, those who have died in Christ will have their redeemed souls and spirits united with a body similar to Christ’s glorified body. Christians living at the time of this event will not die, but will be changed to be like Christ.3 This expectation is a motivation for holy living, as well as a source of comfort.4 No man knows the day or the hour when this will take place.5

After the Rapture of the Church, Christians will be brought before the judgment seat of Christ. He will reward them on the basis of the works they have accomplished.6 This is not a judgment to determine their salvation but a reward for labor on Christ’s behalf.7 The Rapture will also inaugurate a period that the Bible characterizes as the “great day of His wrath,” “the great tribulation” and the “time of Jacob’s trouble.”8 This time of unprecedented difficulty will affect Israel and all nations. Its purpose will be to prepare Israel for her Messiah.9

Christ Will Come For His Bride And Take His Saints To Heaven

6. John 14:1-3 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me. My Fathers house has many rooms if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

7. 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

The Word ‘rapture’ Is Not In The Bible

The English word ‘rapture’ derives from the Latin verb ‘Rapere,’ meaning ‘to carry off,’ or ‘to catch up.’ Although the term ‘rapture’ is not found in the Bible, the theory is based on Scripture.

Those who accept the Rapture theory believe that all non-believers on earth at the time will be left behind for the tribulation period. Most Bible scholars agree the tribulation period will last seven years — the final seven years of this age until Christ returns to set up His earthly kingdom during the Millennium.

Does Scripture Teach A Partial Rapture

Pin on Be Encouraged~

Some believe that there will be a partial rapture in which faithful believers will be raptured and unfaithful believers will be left behind. They point to Jesus parable of the ten virgins as evidence in Matthew 25:1-13.

However, this author does not believe that the five unprepared virgins waiting for the bridegroom represent unprepared believers, but rather unbelievers who have not prepared themselves by heeding Gods warning through the Gospel.

All those who are in Christ at the time of the rapture will be prepared by the fact that Christ died for their sins and that they have received His forgiveness for sins past, present and future, whether they are actively prepared for His coming by a show of their present works, or they are not. If their lamps contain the oil , then they will be raptured.

Jesus Wept Over His Prediction Of Destruction

Jesus weeps over this city in another place, because its zealous impulses will lead to the destruction of Gods holy city and Temple. This isnt something Jesus wants to happen. It is, however, something he knows will happen.

And soon.

Jumping back into the passage, Jesus keeps moving. The great Son of Man statement comes in verse 26. This points to Daniel 7 where the son of man comes up to the throne of God to be victoriously vindicated to a position of authority after a time of suffering .

For Jesus, this will ultimately happen when the Temple is destroyed, for it will be a moment where Jesus becomes the only Temple of God that is left in the cosmos.

Again, we keep in mind that Jesus weeps over this point: he doesnt want the Temple to be destroyed. He simply sees the writing on the soon-to-be bloodstained and torn down walls.

Jesus is claiming to be the fulfillment of Daniels apocalyptic vision, and people will see this to be true once the Lords prophecy is fulfilled.

This happened in 70 CE. It already did. His coming in this passage is about his enthronement, the vindication of his suffering. It will serve as a sign to his hearers, beyond the resurrection, that he truly was the suffering one of God who overcomes his enemies by Gods loving verdict: not the sword.

Jesus seals the deal by following this up in verse 30 by saying: this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

Jesus had nothing in mind like a Rapture.

What Are The Main Bible Passages That Speak Of The Rapture

Joh 14:1-3 – Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, you may be also.

1 Corinthians 15:50-52 – Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Some characteristics of this event described in1 Corinthians are:

-It will happen in a moment.

-There will be a trumpet sound.

-It is a mystery. A whole generation of believers, probably the most considerable portion

of Christians, will go to heaven and receive new, glorified bodies without dying.

Some characteristics of this event described in 1 Thessalonians 4 are:

-There will be a shout from the archangel.

-There will be the trumpet sound of God.

-It will happen suddenly without warning.

-The dead in Christ will rise first. Note: A similar thing happened when Christ was

crucified – Mathew 27:51-53 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two,

from the top to the bottom. And the ground shook, and the rocks split apart. The graves

many.
