How Does God Reveal Himself

Scriptural Revelation: What Does God

If we cannot see the face of God, how can we be assured of His presence? How does He reveal Himself? We see God and He is revealed to us as follows:

We see God revealed first in the person of Jesus Christ:

We see God revealed in His works, which are the evidence of His existence

We see God revealed in the good works of His believers who have trusted in Christ

We see God revealed in His Word and through the leading and directing of the Holy Spirit . When He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit, it is not in a loud audible voice, it is in a small voice that brings Bible passages, thoughts, and ideas to us .

We see God revealed in the events that we see, hear, and experience. However, in order for us to be able to see God when He reveals Himself to us, we must believe that He is and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him .

Those who do not believe that God is and a is rewarder to those who diligently seek Him, He blinds so that they cannot see Him nor His revelation to their own destruction . So, for the non-believer who asks us if we have seen God, we can say not directly, but we see the evidence of Him, which He reveals to those who believe that He is and diligently seek Him. This answer will provide an opening to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Things Your Bible Says About Itself

There are only two options when it comes to knowledge of a divine Creator: revelation or speculation. Either he speaks, or we guess.

And he has spoken. The God of heaven and earth has forfeited his own personal privacy to reveal himself to usto befriend usthrough a book. Scripture is like an all-access pass into the revealed mind and will of God.

In Before You Open Your Bible I discussed various heart postures for approaching Gods Word. But what claims does it make about itself? Here are eight.

How Does God Reveal Himself To Man

a. Although God reveals Himself to all people through their reason and built-in desires, He revealed Himself in a special and powerful way directly to the Hebrews . God chose a small, weak, sinful people to teach them about Himself, and to prepare them for the coming of Christ.

Why Doesnt God Speak Audibly To Us As He Did In The Bible

I think this isnt an honest question. What were really asking is, Why doesnt God speak to me audibly? You already believe that God speaks or you wouldnt question why you dont hear Him.

You must already believe that encountering the audible voice of God is possible or you wouldnt be asking about it. You might be nervous that its too good to be true. Much of the Gospel appears too good to be true. It is that goodness of God that helps us find our answer.

It is good to look at why we want to hear the audible voice of God. Some say its because they would have greater faith. Remember that an entire nation saw Jesus face-to-face and most did not believe in Him. Another reason we want to hear Gods voice audibly is to know without doubt that the message is from God. 1 John 4 and 1 Thessalonians 5 are clear that we should test every message, no matter the source. God is not intimidated. To sincerely ask for confirmation that something is of God is wisdom, not lack of faith. 1 Thessalonians 5 also reminds us that God is sanctifying us until we reach completion. As we submit each message to testing we grow in discernmenta gift often missing in many congregations today. My father taught me to submit everything to Scripture, to my mentors, and to God in prayer. This is very similar to the Wesleyan Quadrilateral, which encourages us to use Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason in relationship with the Holy Spirit as sounding boards.

Where Can We Find God Reveal To Redeem In The Bible

How Does the God of the Bible Reveal Himself?

Why doesnt God say whats up God reveal to redeem again? In Ephesians 4: 11 & 12 quoted above, the five-fold ministry is clearly shown, and no one else can do all that, including Revelation 2:8-11 which is indicated by these words. Paul was also counselled by a prophet to check that God had already revealed His plans to him before he became the Apostle.

What Does God Tell Us About Himself

Scriptures are from the KJB

What does God tell us about Himself?

I am a true Christian believer. I believein the one true Almighty God of the universe who exist inthree divinepersons. Christ Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. I believe what God says in IITimothy 3:16-17: 16Allscripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitablefor doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17That the manof God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

I knowand believe the KJB is the inspired Word of God. It is true and accuratewithout any contradictions. However, you must know how to Rightly Divide theWord of truth to understand it properly as it says in II Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needethnot to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Now that you know what I believe about the Bible, I want to show some scriptures from the Bible that you need to consider about God. Some of you reading this article may be true Christian believers or some may be professing Christians, who are not true Christians at all, while others may be an atheist, or an agnostic. Those of you who do not believe in the existence of God, or are only professing Christians, I want you to seriously think about the following scriptures:

Hebrews10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into thehands of the living God. This is referring to all unbelievers.

Does God Change His Mind In The Bible

Is This A Contradiction?

Many Christians stumble over trying to reconcile the apparent contradictions in Numbers 23:19 and Exodus 32:14. How can the omniscient, immutable God change His mind?

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Exodus 32:14 So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people.

There are two places in Scripture where it says that God REPENTED about something He had done in the past and almost a dozen times where it says that He changed His mind about something that He was about to do.

Amos 7:3 The Lord changed His mind about this. It shall not be, said the Lord.

Psalm 110:4 The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Did God change His mind? Did He do something wicked that He had to repent of? How are we to understand this in light of the rest of scripture? How are we to understand God in light of this apparent contradiction? If the Bible is the Inerrant, God-breathed Scripture, what do we do with these passages?

Hermeneutics

Literary form is a concept that helps us with these two verses in question. A literary form could be a parable, poem, narrative, prophesy, etc. We also have to ask is this passage a literal description, phenomenological language, or even anthropomorphic language?

The Bible Is Inspired

We Can Find âthe Very Knowledge of Godâ? JEHOVAH GOD has ...

When Christians claim Scripture is inspired, what do they mean? Inspiration is about the relationship between God and the Bibles authors. These men werent inspired in the way we typically use the word todayits not as if the apostle Paul saw a gorgeous sunset and then wrote Galatians. Nor does it mean he would enter some catatonic state, recite a bunch of words to a friend, then pick up the parchment and say, Lets see what God wrote!

First and foremost, inspiration has to do with the fact that the Bibles ultimate author is God.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The entirety of the Bible is God-breathedexhaled from God. No wonder its commonly referred to as Gods Word.

If God authored it, though, then what were Moses and David and Paul and John and all the rest doing? Werent they writing Holy Scripture, too? Exactly. The Bible was written by God and humansor, more precisely, by God through humans. The apostle Peter explains it this way:

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

In other words, God made sure the human authors wrote exactly what he wanted them to writeno more, no less.

What Does This Mean About Who I Am In Christ

God creates us and gives each of us the opportunity to accept his Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Its an open invitation and one Im so glad I accepted as a young girl. I was at a church summer camp and I had recently lost my father. A camp counselor sat on my cot and said I know youve lost your earthly father but would you like a heavenly Father who will never leave or forsake you.

I said absolutely and prayed to ask forgiveness for my sins and for Jesus to come into my heart. I was immediately born again into a new spiritual life for eternity . Forgiven of my sins . I became a new creation in Christ my life was going to change forever . But more relatable to me at the time, I became a friend of Christ and his disciple in sharing the Good News of Jesus with others .

Because of Gods grace and mercy shown to undeserving me, miraculously my heart continues a transformation that reflects the glorious image of the Lord in and through me. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lordwho is the Spiritmakes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.2 Cor. 3:18 NLT

As a follower of Christ, a Christian, God wants me to fulfill the vital purpose for which he created me. For we are Gods masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The Bible Is Sufficient

Scripture contains all the words from God that we need in order to know him truly, trust him fully, obey him perfectly, and enjoy him abundantly. Peter says God has given us everything we need for a godly life through the knowledge available in the Scriptures . Likewise, Paul says, the Bible is so complete that through it we can be thoroughly equipped for every good workthoroughly and every, not partly and most . It doesnt get more comprehensive.

While the Bible may not tell us everything we want to know, it does tell us everything we need to know. Its truth isnt exhaustive, but it is enough . It contains all we need to know in order to be saved and to obey God in faith . No wonder severe warnings accompany adding to or removing any of its words .

While the Bible may not tell us everything we want to know, it does tell us everything we need to know. Its truth isnt exhaustive, but it is enough.

The case can be made that every corruption of biblical Christianity begins by compromising the principle of sufficiency, one author observed. Every deviation from Christianity established by Christ and the apostles begins by adding to the Bible or by taking away from it. Every deviation is the Bible plus or minus something.
