Plague Of The Death Of The Firstborn Exodus 1: 1
The tenth and final plague was the death of the firstborn of all the people and animals. This was a plague on the Israelites and the Egyptians. The plague consisted of the firstborn being killed on a certain night. To avoid the punishment the people would kill a sacrificial lamb and paint the door posts of the house with the blood of the lamb. When the Lord passed through the land, He would not kill the firstborn of the houses that had shown their trust in His provision of salvation.
Pharaohs son was killed as well as many children of the Egyptians. They feared themselves to be the next to be killed and gave all they could to get the Israelites out of their land.
Plague Of Darkness Exodus : 21
The plague of darkness was described as being so dark that it could be felt . The darkness lasted three days. However the Israelites had light in their houses. After a time Pharaoh requested an end to the plague by offering to let the Israel go, but they would have to leave their cattle. Moses refused to accept the offer, but left saying that by the time the Israelites left Egypt then Pharaoh would be giving goods to Israel.
Wild Animals Or Flies: Ex : 1628/: 2032
The fourth plague of Egypt was of creatures capable of harming people and livestock. The Torah emphasizes that the arob only came against the Egyptians and did not affect the Israelites. Pharaoh asked Moses to remove this plague and promised to grant the Israelites their freedom. However, after the plague was gone, the Lord hardened his heart and he refused to keep his promise.

Seven Angels With Seven Plagues
15 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagueslast, because with them Gods wrath is completed.2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. The Horde Of Wild Animals
The fourth plague that struck the Egyptians consisted in God sending hordes of wild animals throughout the country which destroyed everything in their path. Only the province of Goshen was safe from this plague.
The savage hordes devastated many Egypt’s agricultural crops . Once again, the pharaoh promised to let the Hebrews go. Following this promise, Moses prayed to God, and the wild animals disappeared. Yet, as soon as the latter were gone, the pharaoh withdrew his promise again and refused Moses’ request.
In the film “Exodus”, Moses is portrayed as a man repentant of his condition as an ancient prince of Egypt, changed and ready to take up arms to defend his true people.

As children, many of us will have read how the Hebrew people living in Egypt were suffering under the cruel rule of the Pharaoh. Moses asked the Pharaoh to let them return to their homelands in Canaan, but he refused. As a consequence, 10 plagues were inflicted on the Egyptians in a divine demonstration of power and displeasure designed to persuade the Pharaoh to reverse his decision. But were the plagues historical events or, as some historians have suggested, simply passed-down accounts of several natural disasters? Some scholars concede that from an historical standpoint, the first nine plagues resemble natural events and while some are disconnected, others appear to be part of a chain reaction with set patterns and a rapid succession. The Egyptians were renowned for recording every event, whether temporal or religious in nature, but there are few references to plagues in ancient Egyptian literature. What if the plagues, however, involved villages and the countryside around Goshen, these might not have been referred to the royal court for insertion in official chronicles.

Because false prophets will shed the blood of saints, the wrath of bitter water will be like blood given to them to drink. The same bitterness that afflicted Egypt when the Nile River turned to blood was because of persecuting Gods people.

The Last Plagues Of Revelation Also Called The Bowls Of Wrath
Revelation 15:7 describes these seven last plagues as golden bowls full of the wrath of God to be poured out upon the earth. Some translations of the Bible, such as the King James Version and Youngs Literal Translation, use the word vial instead of bowl in this passage and in Revelation 16:1.
Albert Barnes in his Notes on the Bible states: The word used here phialemeans properly, a bowl or goblet, having more breadth than depth . Our word vial, though derived from this, means rather a thin long bottle of glass, used particularly by apothecaries and druggists. The word would be better rendered by bowl or goblet, and probably the representation here was of such bowls as were used in the temple service. The allusion seems to be to a drinking cup or goblet filled with poison, and given to persons to drinkan allusion drawn from one of the methods of punishment in ancient times .
So these bowls are imagery God uses to represent the seven last punishments that He will pour out on a sinful humanity.

God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh to ask for the release of His people so that they could worship Him freely. Initially Pharaoh refused and Moses demonstrated Gods power by turning Aarons staff into a serpent. The magicians of Egypt also showed their abilities by changing their staves into serpents. However, Aarons serpent ate the serpents of the Egyptians .

How Do The Seven Last Plagues Parallel Other Plagues In The Bible
There are two interesting historical parallels to the seven last plagues.
- First, these seven last plagues are typed by some of the punishments God brought upon the nation of Egypt in order to free the ancient Israelites from slavery. In the 10 plagues preceding the Exodus, water was turned to blood , people had painful sores , and the Egyptians experienced darkness for three days .There are obvious similarities to these punishments in the seven last plagues . And just as Pharaoh hardened his heart toward God and His plan, so will the people who experience the seven last plagues harden their hearts against God.
It is also interesting to note that in Revelation 15, which introduces the seven last plagues, we find Gods faithful people singing the song of Moses , a song composed by Moses after God had brought 10 plagues upon the Egyptians and delivered Israel .
- Second, the seven last plagues of Revelation 15 and 16 have similarities to the seven trumpet plagues, but with increased intensity.Note that the first four trumpets cause a third of the trees to be burned up, a third of the sea to become blood, a third of the creatures in the sea to die, a third of fresh water to become poisonous and the light of the sun, moon and stars to be diminished by a third . The seven last plagues will cause all waters to become blood, all life in the sea to die and more darkness .
God Promises To Protect His People
During the seven plagues, God promises to protect His people. We have this assurance from various passages in scripture. Psalm 91:2-10 reminds us of this promise. This passage says, I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely he will save you from the fowlers snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Ultimately, God is sending the seven plagues so that humanity will draw closer to Him. He isnt bringing these plagues for us to suffer or to be harsh and cruel. God loves each and every one of us. John 3:16 reminds us of this, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, may not perish, but may have everlasting life. First Timothy 2:4 reminds us that God desires all men to be saved and come to know the truth. While these events are terrifying, we can find hope that this is only a temporary period, and in the end, there will be no suffering.
