What Does The Bible Say About Loved Ones Visiting Us

Our Loved Ones Watch Us From Heaven

Can the Spirits of the Dead Visit Us? – Your Questions, Honest Answers

The Bible never mentions our deceased loved one visiting us from Heaven explicitly. It warns against seeking out mediums and psychics to speak with our deceased loved ones. When our loved ones die, they dont turn into ghosts. Instead, they turn into spirit beings. The Bible warns against seeking out mediums because its possible for demons to disguise themselves and act as our deceased loved ones. Some scriptures in the Bible suggest that the dead can see whats happening on Earth.

In Revelation 6, victims ask God why he hasnt judged those who have killed them. They called out to God and asked how long until you criticize the inhabitants of Earth and avenge our blood. The passage then describes them getting a white robe, and God asks them to wait a little longer. This passage shows that people in Heaven are the same as when they were on Earth. Now theyre just in a different location. The victims remember their murder, so this shows that they retain their life on Earth.

One Moment After Death

The very moment after you die you are with the Lord that is if you are saved. Paul wrote that to be absent from the body to be present with the Lord which also means that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord . When Paul says in the body he means here on earth and when he speaks of with the Lord we know that He means in heaven. How do we know that? Jesus is presently seated at the right hand of the Father because after His death and resurrection, the Scriptures say that God seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places . This means nothing less than Jesus is set down at the right hand of the throne of God at the very moment you are reading this . By doing so, God has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.

These Bible Verses About Death Will Comfort You During ...

God takes into account exactly who we are and places us before the angels who will bring emotional balance to our lives:

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Can My Saved Loved Ones See Me From Heaven

Many use the verse in Hebrews 12:1 Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us as evidence that their loved ones can see them from heaven but is that what this verse is really about? I dont believe it is. Notice the world therefore in Hebrews 12:1. What does Hebrews12:1 speak about? It is a conclusion of what was just said in Hebrews 11:39-40: And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

A good question to ask about Hebrews 12:1 is what is the therefore, there for? The word therefore ties into what was previously written and what we read in Hebrews 12:1 tells us who these cloud of witnesses were and what it was written for. We must also ask who it was written to because all Scripture is written for us but not every verse is written precisely to us. Some verses are prescriptive and some are descriptive . For example, the Book of Hebrews is written for us but some of it is written to the Jewish Christians who were losing everything, including their life, due to intense persecution.

there is an unbridgeable gap between heaven and hell no one can see from heaven to earth, except God Himself.

Hearing Music Or Their Favorite Song

Listening to music will often trigger past memories or evoke emotion. When you hear a song that reminds you of a loved one, this is a sign that they are with you.

Music is a great way to keep those that youve lost always in your heart.

Listening to their favorite bands, albums, or songs is a beautiful way to evoke their memories of them in your mind. If you close your eyes while their favorite song is playing, it might feel as if they are still in the room with you.

Butterflies Flying Around You

A butterfly is considered to be a special message from heaven. If you have recently lost someone close to you, this could be a sign of a loved one communicating after death.

Angels are sent by God to deliver messages . If a butterfly lands on you or flies around you, that is a very positive sign.

Seeing butterflies after the death of a loved one can be caused by your recent thoughts or prayers about that person.

Take hope in the fact that your deceased loved one is with you, even in such a small way.

The next time you see a butterfly it should put a smile on your face and give your comfort.

Finding Pennies And Dimes

This Will Change The Way You Think About Your Loved Ones In Heaven

One way that a deceased loved one might send you a sign is by placing pennies, dimes or quarters on the ground in front of you.

I like to call them pennies from heaven and they are a special way to remember loved ones that have passed away.

Finding pennies on the ground is a special sign from God that you are not alone in your journey. He has plans to prosper you, give you hope, and a future.

When you find money on the ground, pick it up and look at the date. The date that is inscribed on a penny could be a sign about who this message is from.

If you dont recognize the date, hold onto it until you receive another sign. There could be more messages coming soon.

What Do The Dreams Of The Departed Tell Us

Mysterious Ways editor Hilary Ribons had a dream three days later of her grandfather who passed away. She turns to experts for the interpretation.

by Hilary RibonsFrom Posted in God’s Grace, Jul 16, 2018

My grandfather Jacques was a man of few words. A sharp dresser who always wore pressed khakis, a polo shirt and a gold chain. Hed sweep me into his arms, his Ralph Lauren Polo cologne so strong, it made my eyes tear. Hello, my granddaughter, hed say, his deep voice overlaid with a vague European accent. As if he was from everywhere but nowhere in particular, which was kind of true.

Grandpa was a Holocaust survivor. At 14, he was sent to the Blechhammer labor camp, near Kozle, Poland. He later survived a 200-mile Nazi death march and concentration camps Gross-Rosen and Buchenwald, where he shared Barrack 66 with Elie Wiesel. Following liberation by the U.S. Army, he went to an orphanage at the Rothschild Mansion in Versailles, France. Two years later, he moved to America. He served in the Korean War, settled in California and raised a family of five. Grandpa rarely talked about the horrors he saw, though I knew he carried the pain with him. When he died in 2016, at 88, I found myself questioningwas Grandpa Jacques finally at peace?

Death Is A Defeated Enemy

Death is a vandal and an intruder in Gods creation. In the beginning, when God created the world, there was no death. Death entered the world when our first parents Adam and Eve were deceived and rebelled against God. No wonder it is described as an enemy and indeed as the last enemy.

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 1 Cor. 15:25-26

While death seems to hold sway now, thats not the last word on the matter. Death will be destroyed and become a thing of distant memory.

Looking to the future, John shares this vision with Gods people:

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21: 1-4

This future hope does not diminish our pain, but it sustains us as we journey with the expectation that God is with us and knows our sorrow.

Why Does This Matter

When a loved one passes away, as one of mine recently has, we miss them deeply. We long to hear from them and hope they are looking down on us from heaven.

But we often can forget that if they had a saving relationship with Jesus, and we do as well, that we will indeed see them again.

Scripture makes it clear that we cannot seek the help of necromancers or mediums . As much as it hurts to lose loved ones and not hear their voice, we can rest assured if they had a saving faith, we will see them again.

Furthermore, we know that God communicates to us in a variety of ways. We dont need loved ones who passed to guide us in the right direction. We have an all-powerful, all-good, all-present, and all-knowing God to steer us toward the path of righteousness.

We also have the Holy Spirit who plays the role of comforter.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God .

Do The Saints In Heaven Pray For Us

Free You Are Loved

Catholics believe that angels and saints in heaven pray for those of us who are living on Earth. As they are nearer to the presence of God, their prayers have more power in them in comparison to our prayers.

However, since saints and angels can pray for us, we must not invoke or call upon them.

But we cannot ask the saints in heaven to pray for us. What we can do is pray to God directly. On the other hand, Saints see the hardships and difficulties that human beings go through.

Therefore, they pray to God for our well-being.

Placing Thoughts In Our Heads

Our beloved dead ones influence our thoughts. Our loved ones dont have a clear voice because they are pure energy now. Consequently, they send us signs intuitively.

Pay close attention to opinions that just arrive in your head that you think of out of nowhere. Especially you think of something your deceased loved one would say for no logical reason, it is most possibly them trying to communicate with you directly.

This method of connection is a real blessing. Pay attention to your thoughts you will in instantly know when they are not yours and are signs from heaven.

What To Do With Belongings

As for the handling of their belongings, loved ones in spirit often convey that they would like items to be distributed in a fair way. It is unfortunate when people on Earth behave in a selfish or greedy way over the legacies left by loved ones who have crossed over. They do not like to see families torn apart by belongings or money. Even though they are aware of the lessons tied into these situations, they still hope loved ones remember it is more important to cultivate and nurture the relationships they have with one another through fair distribution, rather than hurtful actions driven by greed and selfish behaviors.

Loved ones in spirit also often state they do not want loved ones on Earth to feel compelled to keep every object they ever owned because the objects are not them, they are only things which loved ones in spirit no longer need. Keeping objects with historical importance or positive memories is good, as long as they do not overload your home. I have had loved ones in spirit ask their relatives on Earth to donate that which is no longer needed to charities because they prefer their belongings to go to someone who can use them.

Can People In Heaven Hear Us

Do Loved Ones In Heaven Look Down On Us Here on Earth

Yes, people or our departed loved ones who are in heaven can hear us. So, when we are sad or going through any turmoil in our lives, we can talk to our dead loved ones.

Sometimes, they send us signs and messages to send us the guidance that we need to get over the difficult times that we are facing. On the other hand, they may also send messages and signs to show us that they are with us.

Even if they can hear us, we must not pray to them. We can send our prayers to God, who will intervene and ensure that we overcome our problems. At the same time, if we want to send a message across to our dead loved ones, we can communicate them in our prayers to God.

God will send those messages to your loved ones.

To call the dead is viewed as an occult practice, and therefore if we do so, we will be violating the Scripture.

However, if we simply want to communicate how we feel, we can talk with them. In addition, we can also talk with God, who will let our dead loved ones in heaven know what we are feeling.

Can A Loved One In Heaven Look Down On You

What the Bible really says about loved ones watching over us.

Heaven is a mysterious place, even for believers. As Christians, we know heaven is a wonderful place that we can look forward to, but there is a lot we dont understand about it. One of the most common questions that come up is whether our loved ones in heaven look down on us. There is incredible hope and comfort in the idea that we will see our loved ones in heaven and that they are watching over us. Thankfully, we have the Bible as our guide to some of the toughest questions about heaven.

Several Bible verses make many Christians wonder if their loved ones can look down on them from heaven. One of those passages is Hebrews 12:1, which says, Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us The word many focus on in this passage is witnesses. In Hebrews 11, you will see the word testimony being used, which is likely used to connect us to testimonies of faith in the Old Testament. These are people who have run their race and are now in heaven. The witnesses are there more as lasting examples for believers, not there to focus on watching others from heaven. Ultimately, we can turn to their examples of faith to encourage us on our own faith journey.
