I remember, back during my junior year of high school, a teacher had me in tears. She had talked about the blood moons that would take place in 2015, and how they clearly meant that the world would end that year.
Although she meant well, she forgot the verse about how none of us truly know when the Son of Man will return . Only the Father does.
We can point to several signs that the End Days are approaching, but we dont know the day.
Furthermore, although we may get excited about the prospect of Jesus returning and setting things right, we cant forget that we have a job to do. We still have unreached nations and language groups to share the Gospel, coworkers who need to see love in action, and for many of us, members of our own family who dont know the Lord. You could be the person who plants that seed, who opens someones eyes to the Gospel, who shows what loving your neighbor truly means.
So we watch the skies in anticipation and delight, but we do not forget what our Creator called us to do in the Great Commission .

‘super Blood Moon’ To Be Followed By A ‘ring Of Fire’
A new lunar eclipse or “blood moon” took place on Wednesday, and it was visible in eastern Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean, and parts of the Americas.
A lunar eclipse is caused by the moon going through Earth’s shadow in space. This particular one was called a Super Blood Moon, and it was the first total eclipse since January 2019. The eclipse occurred as the Moon came closer to the Earth during its orbit.
According to Forbes.com, this “supermoon” full Moon moved into Earth’s dark central umbral shadow where it appeared as a “Blood Moon” for 15 minutes, briefly turning the lunar surface a reddish-copper color.

Space.com explains a Blood Moon occurs when the moon moves completely into the deepest part of Earth’s shadow, but the moon turns red instead of going black. The red color comes from some of the sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere where it gets bent and colors like blue or green are filtered out, leaving behind longer wavelengths like the color red.

Biblical Implications of Blood Moons
Even though there are scientific explanations for these types of Blood Moons, many Christians also see prophetic implications behind them. That’s because they’re directly mentioned in scripture.

The total eclipse of April 15, 2014, will be followed by another on Oct. 8, 2014, and another on April 4, 2015, and another on Sept. 28, 2015.

In many apocalyptic texts, such as Revelation, we see astronomical phenomena play a large role in the End Times. Stars fall to the earth like figs, for instance .
Lets take a look at what the Bible says about the sun getting dark.
Matthew 24:29: Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
Here Jesus speaks of the Last Days. In the End Times, the sun will go dark. A solar eclipse can remind of us whats to come.
Revelation 6:12: I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red.
Well address the latter part of this verse in the next section, but the Bible makes use of some vivid imagery here. Most of us dont have goats in our backyards but imagine a dark goat coat. Thats what the sun will look like after the sixth seal of judgment is broken.
: Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him. At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.

To astronomers, this is a thrilling example of a total lunar eclipse the longest one we’ll see for the rest of the century. To some doomsaying YouTube preachers, on the other hand, it’s a terrifying example of a “blood moon,” and it may be the last one we ever see in this or any century.
“The blood moon is definitely a prophetic sign ,” one prominent YouTube preacher said in a recent video. “There are way too many prophecies in play here we’re in the end times.”
This is not the first time a so-called blood moon has attracted prophecies of doom not by a long shot. Throughout history, many non-Christian cultures have interpreted the disappearance of the trusty moon as a dark omen. According to National Geographic, Incan myths held that a lunar eclipse meant the moon had been eaten by a large jaguar, while ancient Mesopotamians believed an eclipse was the work of demons. With the light of the moon being so crucial to timekeeping and agriculture, it’s little wonder why its disappearance or sudden blood-red makeover was a terrifying sight.
For some, that terror persists today. Just a few years ago, two rival preachers promoted two separate theories that a series of four consecutive blood moons during 2014 and 2015 heralded the end times, citing as their main evidence a few quotes from the Bible.

Others believe the blood moons do signal the end of the world, but that we have a while left before the four horsemen arrive.

All Israel Shall Be Saved

In the heat of the Battle of Armageddon, their Messiah will descend from heaven, touching down on the Mount of Olives. The Jews will know their Messiah has come to save them from the invading armies of the Antichrist.
They will rush out to meet Him, falling down to worship Him. When they do, they will notice He has scars in His feet and in His hands. Zechariah 13:6 says: And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
Suddenly, their eyes will be opened. They will say, So youre Jesus. He will reply, Yes, I am Jesus.
What Does A Crescent Moon Mean
The crescent moon comes before the new moon. It is called a waning moon phase, which precedes the unveiling of the new moon. Therefore, whenever the crescent moon shows up in the sky, it is a sign of preparation for something new.
