How Do Dinosaurs Fit In With The Bible
Recently, Ive been learning a lot about Creation. And one of the most common questions people ask are: Do Dinosaurs fit in with what the Bible teaches? By truly embracing the truths in Scriptures and studying the teachings I have gotten from our Bible School, I really believe that dinosaurs were indeed created with humans and other living things and absolutely fit into what the Bible teaches.
Of course most people believe, according to secular science, evolution theories and apparent fossil dating, that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago, and that they were roaming the earth before God created people and other animals. But this creates a problem this means thatdeath came before sin. And the Bible clearly says that death entered the world because of sin.
1 Cor 15:21-22 For since death came through a man,the resurrection of the dead comes also through a Man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive
Dinosaurs were land animals, right? Well, the Bible says that Land animals and other living animals were made on day 6. Which day 6? you may ask.

What Happened To The Dinosaurs
So what happened to the dinosaur? Gods Word tells us that God sent a flood to destroy the earth and that only Noah, his family and the animals that he brought on the ark were spared. Because Noah was commanded by God to bring two of every kind of creature on the ark , he would have brought dinosaurs as well. Your first question probably has something to do with squeezing all those animals and large dinosaurs on a boat. Am I right?
First, we need to know that the ark was not a tiny boat with animal heads sticking out of the windows. God instructed Noah to build a massive structure that could hold not only the animals but also all the food along with Noah and his family. Secondly, Noah would have taken younger and much smaller dinosaurs on the boat so that they would be able to mature and reproduce after the flood.
After the flood, the earth was not the same and it was probably difficult for the dinosaurs to find enough food to survive. The climate changed and the earth entered the Ice Age. Since the dinosaurs were most likely reptiles, it would have been challenging for them to stay warm enough to live. No one knows for sure what happened to the dinosaurs but we do know that the dinosaurs arent the only animals to become extinct. Many animals over the years have died off due to all sorts of causes.

Why Would God Create Dinosaurs
Some Christians argue dinosaurs could not have existed because God would not create such creatures that could wreak havoc upon human civilization. Enormous amounts of archeological evidence deter this argument, but we should also note the Bible mentions God created several other ferocious animals.

When youre told evolution and faith arent compatible, the options seem bleak: You can reject a vast body of scientific evidence or you can reject God.
I know. Im a science educator and a university biology professor, but I was raised a creationist in a faith community that reads the Bible literally.
For a person of faith who wants to love God with heart, soul and mind, rejection of either science or God is an impossible choice.
Instead of an outright rejection of science, many find science in the Bible, and particularly in Genesis. Modern science evidence regarding astronomy, geology and biological evolution is sometimes retrofitted and forced into Scripture. The mental gymnastics required to do so while taking the Bible literally can be exhausting.
According to Pew, almost 40% of white evangelical Christians reject the evidence for evolution, the highest portion of any category that Pew surveys. In a separate Pew study, in Texas, Pew found that the percentage of highly religious adults who reject evolution approaches 50%. Intelligent design, touted as an alternative to evolution by some, is not really a view separate from creationist views, rather, it is a way of defending such views.
Its a conversation thats been going on for hundreds of years.

Why Do We Find Dinosaur Fossils
In , we read that all flesh had corrupted his way upon the Earth . Perhaps people and animals were killing each other maybe dinosaurs had started killing other animals and humans. In any case, the Bible describes the world as wicked.
Because of this wickedness, God warned a godly man named Noah that He was going to destroy the world with a Flood . God therefore commanded him to build a great ship so that all the kinds of land animals and Noahs family could survive on board while the Flood destroyed the entire Earth .
Some people think that dinosaurs were too big, or there were too many of them, to go on this Ark. However, there were not very many different kinds of dinosaurs. There are certainly hundreds of dinosaur names, but many of these were given to just a bit of bone or skeletons of the same dinosaur found in other countries. It is also reasonable to assume that different sizes, varieties, and sexes of the same kind of dinosaur have ended up with different names. For example, look at the many different varieties and sizes of dogs, but they are all the same kindthe dog kind! In reality, there may have been fewer than 50 kinds of dinosaurs.
God sent two of every land animal into the Ark there were no exceptions. Therefore, dinosaurs must have been on the Ark. Even though there was ample room in the huge ship for large animals, perhaps God sent young adults into the Ark that still had plenty of room for them to grow.

Thats not a lot of time for mass extinction to take place. The Bible mentions nothing about any cataclysmic events in this period, other than the Fall, when a curse on the land made farming more difficult and caused brambles and thorns to grow.

Our world experienced a huge population increase , leading to the development of areas that were once vast wildernesses. However, only certain species became extinct not entire families of animals. For instance, the passenger pigeon is extinct, but not all birds, and not even all pigeons.

Yesterday morning I sat through a delightful 90 minute presentation by Ken Ham, President and CEO of the creation Museum, made to elementary age children. The subject had to do with dinosaurs and how they fit in Scripture.
Children arent the only ones who want to know how dinosaurs fit in the Bible. We all struggle with putting our world into a modern language.
For example, the word dinosaur was never used until 1841. Its obviously a made up word to describe something unknown and unusual.
The modern world discovered large, unknown bones of land animals beginning in the 1800s. They became known to us as dinosaurs.
How do they fit into scripture?
Genesis 1 describes Gods creation. On the first day, God created light. He spoke it into existence by saying, Let there be light .
God created the world in successive days. By the way, the Hebrew word for create is only used with God as the subject. Therefore, man can make, fashion, arrange, and form, but only God can create.
On the sixth day God created living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.
In our minds, of course, we all think of dinosaurs fitting into the beasts of the earth.
On the sixth day God created human beings as well. He made them male and female.
Dinosaurs come in many different forms and sizes, some are as small as chickens and others are giant creatures of the earth.

When we see the bones of dinosaurs, we can be reminded that death was not a part of the original creation. Death is actually an intruder, entering when the first man disobeyed God. The Bible tells us that because we are all descendants of Adam, we too have sinned: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God . We need to recognize that the wickedness in the world is because of sin, because man rebelled against God.
