    Gods Timing Demonstrates His Patience

When the apostle Peter predicted that people would scoff and say that Jesus wasnt coming back, he provided more perspective on Gods timing and His patience. Peter explained, But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day .

God can compress or expand time in any way that fits His purpose. And His purpose is for the good of everyone. Peter continued, The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance .

God has a little-understood plan to give every person a full, complete chance to repent and be saved. Read more about Gods merciful and patient plan in our article Is God Fair?

God doesnt judge anything prematurely, and He doesnt want us to either. As the apostle Paul wrote:

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each ones praise will come from God .

At just the right time Jesus Christ will return. And at just the right time each one will be judged.

God Knows The Future And The Past And Everything He Plans Comes To Pass

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.

    Isaiah 46:10 NLT

God knows everything, but we dont. We see the world from a limited perspective but he sees everything. He knows the future and the past and everything he plans comes to pass. He knows when youre supposed to land your dream job and he knows when youre meant to marry the perfect guy. You can trust him because even if it takes many years, it will come to pass. If God planned it, its bound to happen.

Gods Time Is Different Than Our Time

with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8

Have you ever thought about how God doesnt see time as you and I do? The Bible tells us that to God, one day is as 1000 years and 1000 years are as one day. He sees the past, present, and future all at once, for He is over time. That blows my mind. We are so finite. We begin, we end. God always was, is, and will be. Isnt that amazing?

When we get to heaven, there will be no clocks, no calendars just unlimited time. That unsettles me. Clocks and calendars give order to my life. A place with no time just boggles my mind. But well never be tired, and that will be great! Even though God is over time, at the perfect time He became one of us as a baby boy. He invaded history right on time BC/AD it was the zero hour to show us Himself and save us from sin and offer us eternal life with Him timeless life. Isnt that amazing? Wont you take time to consider this?

As A Christian You Are Going To Need Patience As You Wait On The Lords Coming

This life is a long journey filled with ups and downs and youre going to need patience to endure. Youre going to have some great times, but you are also going to have some bad times. We need to be filled with the Lord.

We need to be filled with things of the spirit and not things of the flesh which will hinder our patience. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Readjust your prayer life, Bible Study, fasting, etc. You need to pray not only for more patience, but the ability to glorify God and to have joy while you wait.

    23. Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

    24. James 5:7-8 Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lords coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lords coming is near.

    25. Colossians 1:11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience.

Sometimes Its So Hard To Be Patient When We Have Our Eyes On Everything But The Lord

It is so easy for us to be envious of the wicked and start compromising. God says be patient. Many Christian women see that ungodly women are attracting men by dressing immodestly so instead of being patient on the Lord many Christian women take matters into their own hands and dress sensually. This can happen to anyone about anything.

Take your eyes off of the distractions around you and put them on the Lord. When you are so focused on Christ you will not be focused on other things.

    20. Psalm 37:7 Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Dont worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

    21. Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

What Does It Mean To Trust Gods Timing

23 – God’s End Time Church – Pastor Doug Batchelor

It is not just Gods timing that you should trustit is God himself. Once you fully understand that the Lord is faithful and in control, you will start worrying less.

Therefore, get to know God through Christ Jesus more. When you go through a season of testing and waiting, read more of the Bible and pray always. These will help you trust Him with all your heart.

Remember David was the anointed king of Israel, but before he could enjoy the realization of Gods promises, he had to go through a season of testing and waiting. During this time, he was forced to run for his life and hide out in caves. King Saul, who was bent on Davids destruction, continually hunted for him.

Perhaps the Lord has given you a promise through His Word. You are ready to see it unfold, but it has not happened yet. You have waited, but hope does not seem to be on the horizon.

Remember that Gods timing is perfect. He knows what you need and when you need it. He knows that if we are going to learn how to walk with Him in the daylight or the good times, we must also learn to trust Him in times of darkness.

When God delivers you from trial and trouble, you can be sure He will bring you out into a spacious place of joy and delightone that also will glorify Him and add encouragement to your life.

Trust Gods Timing, because God has a timetable and a season for everything.

To Keep Praying and thanking God for His goodness, mercy, and grace.

Wait For The Lord Be Strong And Let Your Heart Take Courage Wait For The Lord Psalm 2: 14

Here is a brilliant Psalm that distills the importance of God’s timing into a few short words. The Psalm calls us to wait, and what a simple, yet challenging, task that can be. Whenever you are impatient in life, remember that the Bible tells us to wait. Wait and be patient because God has a plan for you.

When We Wait On The Lord We Have Time To Rest

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint.

    Isaiah 40:31

The last benefit of waiting upon the Lord is by far my favorite! As we wait well and press into the giver with prayer and bible study our hearts are expanded as we get to know God more. Waiting well involves our intentional determination to find purpose in the everyday parts of our life. Waiting on God allows us to break the cycle of striving and gain the sweet rest that God so wants us to have.

As we continue to wait and focus on our God and not on our blessings, we can set our hearts in a place of gratitude. When we rest, our mind stops roaming on the millions of things that need to be done and simply exist. The mind that is allowed to rest and then can rest in the Lord is powerful indeed!

    He Doesnt Have Deadlines

Each day we are confronted with deadlines. Reports have to be submitted at work and homework must be turned in at school.

God doesnt have these deadlines and He is not overly concerned about ours but He does want the best for us. If we have deadlines we must follow through on our worldly obligations knowing that Gods timing never occurs in haste.

How Do You Patiently Wait In God

What does the Bible say about patience?

While awaiting each promise, we should be a willing vessel for the present moment. The promises we are praying for have little to do with us and everything to do with Gods glory and advancing the Kingdom of God. Instead of waiting on the lord and focusing on the benefits that each promise will be to us, we should seek to see the blessing we can be to the promise. We must be open to seeing how big of an impact we can allow each present moment to be. We must be aware that each moment of our present waiting season prepares us to be the best version of ourselves in the future.

What To Do While Waiting On Gods Timing

Waiting for Gods perfect timing is not a time to be passive and inactive. If we truly believe God will answer our prayer, then we should express that by takings steps of faith. That is true faith when we work towards what we cannot yet see.

So trust God in the waiting but also do your part to get ready. Because when the waiting season is over, you dont want to be taken by surprise.

What Does Gods Timing Is Perfect Mean

Even when it seems like we are running out of time, God knows just when the perfect time is. And when it seems that something is taking far too long, we can know that God has it all in hand. He knows the right time for everything.

God sees all. He sees what is behind the scenes, hidden beneath the obvious, He knows what is contained inside of hearts, and what the intentions of others are.

He knows the timeline that is moving every one of us through our days and years, and He knows the very best route for us to reach our calling. It may not be the shortest, but it will be the best.

He knows every person who is involved in a situation . And He can orchestrate a multi-faceted situation in perfect harmony to bring everything and everyone around at just the right time and under the right conditions.

    Gods Timing Has Perspective

God has perspective for our lives and for the world. He created the world long ago and His timeframe is vast it is far greater than our short lives.

This doesnt mean Gods timing will come after we are gone, but it does mean that He has perspective that we cant understand. Compared to God we have a narrow perspective, built around our schools, places of work, and places of worship.

We can travel, read, and study Scripture and this give us new perspectives, yet it is still nothing compared to the perspective of God. Trust Gods timing because He has perspective.

Years ago, I didnt wait on God and ended up wasting several years of my life. Now I know better, and so do you.

These Bible verses about Gods plan and timing have hopefully helped reinforce your faith and reset your expectations. Because the truth is, God has a plan He always has. Every part of His plan unfolds at exactly the right time. And no sudden crisis is a surprise to Him, requiring that He quickly come up with a backup plan.

Unfortunately, youll never know His entire plan. Heck, you may only know the next step. But thats all you need to know since everything else is Gods business, not yours.

He said to them, It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.

    Acts 1:7

So trust Gods plan and perfect timing. Abandon yourself to His will. Then you can confidently face your difficult or uncertain circumstances, knowing that all of heaven has your back and your victory is already on its way.

Dont be afraid! Elisha told him. For there are more on our side than on theirs! Then Elisha prayed, O Lord, open his eyes and let him see! The Lord opened the young mans eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
