Viral COVID tests are available as molecular and antigen tests. The molecular test, also known as a polymerase chain reaction test, usually delivers results within a few days since most of these tests are sent to offsite labs for analysis. The average turnaround time for PCR test results is 48 hours, but in some instances may be significantly longer due to backlogs related to insufficient lab volume and capacity. Antigen tests are also known as rapid tests and have an average turnaround time of between 15 to 30 minutes.
Both PCR and rapid COVID tests can be used to test people exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, those who were close contacts to COVID-19, and those without COVID-19 symptoms who live or work in a high-risk setting or those individuals who are identified as part of outbreak detection and response. How Does Johns Hopkins Make Sure Nurses Doctors And Staff Members Arent Sick
All staff members at Johns Hopkins Medicine answer COVID-19 screening questions every day and attest that they do not have symptoms consistent with possible COVID-19 infection.
Anyone who reports symptoms that began in the last 72 hours is instructed to leave work immediately and report those symptoms to Johns Hopkins Medicine Occupational Health Services so that they can be evaluated and tested for COVID-19 if needed. Employees are not allowed to work if they have symptoms and they must be cleared by Occupational Health Services before returning to work.
What Should Employers Know
Employers should not require employees to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or a healthcare providers note to enable them to return to work. An employee can return to work once either of the following situations is met.
Employers shall notify their employees and the Health Department of any reports they receive of positive COVID-19 tests by employees, subcontractors, contract employees, and temporary employees present at the place of employment within the previous 14 days from the date of positive test. This is in accordance with the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Program and the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, Emergency Temporary Standard for Infectious Disease Prevention related to COVID-19. Cases should be reported using this form.

WHAT: Orange County Governments Health Services will continue to offer FREE drive-thru COVID-19 testing at Barnett Park through January 30, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days per week. Both rapid and PCR/molecular tests are offered.
The site will be closed on New Years Day on January 1, 2021.
Due to high demand for testing, entrance to the site may close prior to 5 p.m. in order to accommodate all cars in line. Please plan to be in the vehicle waiting line prior tonoon. Families who are being tested are asked to be in the same vehicle together.

The Power Of Forgiveness In The Bible
One of the most moving scenes in the Bible for me is when Jacob returned home after years of hiding out with his relative Laban.
He was frightened about returning. His brother, Esau, had been furious when he left, even threatening to kill him for things he had done. So Jacob came back armed with gifts and sent them, with many of his people going before him to appease his brother.
However, when he encountered Esau, Esau showed no anger. Perhaps the years had softened him. He even asked Jacob, Why all the gifts? I have plenty. Keep them for yourself.
But what Jacob said to him moves my heart so. He said, I have brought the gifts to find favor with you. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably.

Most of the time, we feel were entitled to an apology, after which we consider forgiving. While saying sorry might be the correct thing to do, its important to remember that the Bible doesnt require an apology for forgiveness. What Happens If I Test Positive
- Your name and contact information will be shared with public health staff at the Fairfax County Health Department to perform a case investigation.
- Someone from the Health Department will call you to discuss your illness, answer questions and provide guidance on how to take care of yourself and prevent spreading COVID-19 to other people. Recommendations will include staying home in a separate room , wearing a facemask or cloth face covering if anyone needs to be in the room, washing your hands frequently, and cleaning high-touch surfaces regularly.
- The Health Department also will ask you for a list of people you have had close contact with during the period when you could spread the infection. These close contacts also will be asked to stay home and away from others.

- If any of your symptoms get worse or if you develop new symptoms, call your healthcare provider.

What kinds of protective equipment do doctors and nurses wear to protect themselves and others from COVID-19?
For medical staff who are treating patients with COVID-19 or those who may have COVID-19, there are a number of protective pieces of equipment that our care teams wear.
Respirators: Fit-tested N95 respirators, Dräger facepiece respirators, or powered air-purifying respirators provide a higher level of filtration and are important in medical situations where infectious droplets could become aerosolized. This primarily occurs in specific medical situations, such as when a patient has an infection that can be transmitted by the airborne route or when a patient is intubated or undergoes bronchoscopy.
Gowns and gloves are worn when caring for patients with certain types of infections. Our staff members wear gowns and gloves to protect themselves and to protect patients by preventing germs from being carried from one patient to another on staff members clothes and skin. Gowns and gloves are removed after each patient care activity and before caring for the next patient.
