Heaven Has Many Rooms
Jesus was comforting His disciples because He would no longer be with them after returning to heaven. He promised them that He was going to prepare a place for them. Jesus has prepared a place for those who die believing in Him.
My Fathers house has many rooms if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
God Is Immanent Because He Is Transcendent
The Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath . But to understand God in full we must recognize that his drawing near to creation stems from his being distinct from creation. In other words, there is no deficiency in God that creation satisfies. The Lord doesnt relate to this world because he lacks something within himself. No, God draws near out of the abundance of who he is.
Gods transcendence distinguishes him from the created order and puts things in their right perspective. God does not come to us needy and wanting, but rather he comes to revive the spirit of the lowly and the heart of the contrite . It is the holy and righteous One above who restores the broken and needy below.
What Is God In Simple Words
The supreme or ultimate reality is the being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped in judaism, christianity, islam, and hinduism. In the early Middle Ages, the term God was used to refer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon, Jesus, Muhammad, Mohammed, Zoroaster, Buddha, Confucius, Lao-tzu, Taoism, Buddhism, Jainism and many other religions.
The term was also used in the United States during the 19th and early 20th centuries as a synonym for the Christian God. : a being or being-like being that is supremely wise, powerful, good, or good-natured. b : a person or thing that has the qualities of a supreme being. c : an individual or group of persons or things that have the characteristics of supreme beings. d : one who has supreme power or authority. e : something that possesses supreme qualities or powers.

Heavenly Realms Blessings And Spiritual Warfare
Whatever happens on earth is a reflection of what has taken place in the spiritual realm. The realm we dont see has a lot happening that we can only discern spiritually.
As believers of Jesus Christ, God has blessed us, and although we dont see the blessings, they are in the heavenly realms. That is why every good and perfect gift comes from above.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
The spiritual forces of darkness that torment us originate from the heavenly realms. The demonic attacks we battle with are commissioned from the heavens. This is where demonic authorities reside.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
According to an article on Keep Believing Ministries, its not clear how we should differentiate between the forces of darkness. That perhaps its enough to know the demons are organized and serve different purposes in Satans service.
The Presence Of God Finds Its Greatest Expression In Immanuel God With Us

God Is Bigger Than You Think
The first thing to say is that God is much bigger than us in every sense. So we can never completely describe him or understand him. It would be like a slug trying to understand Einsteins theories to expect us to understand God.
We do know something about God, but we are dependent on him revealing himself to us. He has done that through the Bible and through his Son, Jesus.
Why Does It Matter That God Is Light
God is light and He is surrounded by light. This speaks of His beauty, holiness, and purity. God is good and He related to mankind in His goodness and purity. There is not even a hint of evil or wickedness in Him.
James describes God as the Father of lights . Because God is the Father of lights, He is pure and constant in His goodness and purity. He is not 99.99% pure. There is no evil in Him at all.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

God Is Faithful He Is Infinitely Unchangingly True
“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” – Deut 7:9
f we are faithless, he remains faithful for he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:13
As with all of Gods attributes, they are not separate, isolated traits but interconnected parts of his perfect whole being. So his faithfulness cannot be understood apart from his immutability, the fact that he never changes. So when we read that God remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself, we see these his attributes working together. The fact that he is unchanging means he can never not be faithful.
A. W. Pink writes this about Gods faithfulness: God is true. His Word of Promise is sure. In all His relations with His people God is faithful. He may be safely relied upon. No one ever yet really trusted Him in vain. We find this precious truth expressed almost everywhere in the Scriptures, for His people need to know that faithfulness is an essential part of the Divine character. This is the basis of our confidence in Him.
The fact that God is infinitely, unchangingly faithful means that he never forgets anything, never fails to do anything he has set out to do, never changes his mind or takes back a promise. And his faithfulness pours out from his love, so we can trust Pauls word that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.

The father, son, and Jesus Christ are part of the divine Godhead. The Father is the source of all things, the Son is his only begotten Son , and Jesus Christ is His Only Begotten Son. The Father and Son are one in essence, but they are not the same person. They are three distinct persons, each of whom is a distinct person in his or her own right.

God makes himself known to his creatures because he first knows himself perfectly as a personal, speaking God. Although all people suppress the knowledge of God in their sin, he has clearly communicated about himself to his creatures through the creation and through humans being made in the image of God. On top of this general revelation, God communicates about himself to particular people in special revelation, which includes the events of nature and history, human words that are inspired by God and recorded for us in Scripture, and through the person of Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate image of God. In all of these different ways, God reveals himself as Lord, which is comprised of his control, presence, and authority over all things.
The God of the Bible is a personal being, in contrast with the gods of many other religions and philosophies who are abstract or impersonal forces. If God Is Spirit How Can We Know What He Looks Like
Although God the Father is spirit, the Bible talks about Jesus being the image of the invisible God, . Some theologians have suggested that when God appeared to Abraham in Genesis 18, it was Jesus in a pre-incarnate form.
We arent told much about what Jesus looks like either, although one of the Messianic prophecies, Isaiah 53 says that He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him . We do however see what God is like from Jesus example. He is Gods representative on earth, and through belief in him, we gain the ability to become more like Christ and therefore nearer to God.
Six Ways God Describes Himself That May Surprise You
Exodus 34: 6-7a says And He , passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.’
This description may come to mind when we think of Jesus in the New Testament, but these are the words God chooses to describe Himself in the Old Testament. They are even more precious and impacting when we put them in context.
God reveals Himself to Moses in this way, the second time he went up to meet with God in order to receive the 10 commandments. That means the newly formed children of Israel had already seen Gods mighty works and fallen away worshipping a golden calf of all things. They worshipped a statue instead of the living God! They had indulged and over indulged in revelry, just two chapters before.
Yet this is how God described Himself to them: a compassionate, gracious, forgiving God.
Does anyone else breathe a big sigh of relief when you read this passage? These verses have been life changing for me. This declaration from God Himself means I can run to Him, rather than away from Him in fear.
Despite their sinful choices, Moses begs God to go with them and show them His Glory.
Sadly, even after experiencing all of these miracles, they turned away from God and worshipped a man made image.
Yet, in the midst of their brokenness, God comes down and stands with Moses to show him His glory.

Heaven Is Organized Into A Kingdom
In the four Gospels, we see the phrase kingdom of heaven used several times. John the Baptist preached about the need to repent because the kingdom of God was coming. Jesus echoed the same words when He began His ministry.
From that time on Jesus began to preach, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
Gods throne is also in heaven. It is His dwelling place.
This is what the Lord says: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?

John Piper defines Gods glory like this: The glory of God is the infinite beauty and greatness of Gods manifold perfections. The infinite beautyand I am focusing on the manifestation of his character and his worth and his attributes all of his perfections and greatness are beautiful as they are seen, and there are many of them. The glory of God is of course, inseparable from his other attributes, so God is eternally, infinitely, unchangingly glorious. His radiance and beauty emanate from all that his is and all that he does. Isaiah 43:7 says that man was created by God for his glory. So our whole existence and purpose is to glorify him, as we are created in his image and do the good work he has prepared for us to do. Inevitably, man will try to find glory in other things, or to try and make himself an object of glory. And when those things fail to bring us satisfaction, we must decide to humble ourselves and turn our gaze back to the only one who is worthy of glory.
