How To Believe In God Bible Verse

Put Your Trust In Gods Providential Care

3 Bible verses to help you believe in God more #BelieveinGod

This is important. God says, you can trust Me I promise to provide, but you must seek Me first above all.

This is a promise for those who have a passion for the Lord and His Kingdom. This is a promise for those who seek to glorify God above all. This is a promise for those who struggle with such a thing. This is a promise for those who are going to wrestle with God no matter what it takes.

This is not a promise for those who want to glorify self, who want to seek riches, who want to be well known, who want to have a big ministry. This promise is for the Lord and His glory and if your heart is for that, then you can trust that God will fulfill this promise.

If youre struggling with trusting God you have to get to know the Lord in prayer. Get alone with Him and get to know Him intimately. Set your heart on knowing Him. Also, you have to get to know Him in His Word daily. You will notice that many godly men in Scripture were put in tougher situations than us, but God delivered them. God can fix anything. Readjust your spiritual life today! Write down your prayers in a prayer journal and write down every time God has answered a prayer as a reminder of His faithfulness.

145. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

146. Psalm 103:19 The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

I Believe In God Not The Bible

After believing in the Lord Jesus, because I was very zealous in my pursuit, I became a co-worker. At one time, a senior preacher came to gather with us and said, Brothers and sisters, Now the Eastern Lightning followers are testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned. They dont read the Bible. Is this right? Believing in God is believing in the Bible, and departing from the Bible is not believing in God. Afterward, he told us how to guard against Eastern Lightning. After hearing what he said, I thought: Right! Arent we believing in the Bible during all the years of our belief in God? Is departing from the Bible still believing in God? However, I wondered: Though the preacher always tells us to guard against Eastern Lightning and not to get in contact with them, why have so many of the good sheep still been stolen away by them? Sister Wang, who managed the churches of the three northeastern provinces of China, accepted Eastern Lightning, and so did Sister Lan, who took charge of the work of the churches of a province. They both are proficient in the Bible. Dont they know that belief in God is belief in the Bible? They have so much knowledge of the Bible, how come they blindly believe in Eastern Lightning? I couldnt understand, and this had become a riddle in my heart.

Psalms About Trusting God

Psalm 27 is a beautiful psalm written by David, probably when he was hiding from King Sauls army. David trusted in Gods protection, saying, The LORD is my light and my salvation whom should I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life whom should I dread? If an army encamps against me, my heart will not fear. If war arises against me, in spite of this I am confident. David said, On the day of trouble He will conceal me . . . He will hide me in the secret place. Wait for the LORD be strong and let your heart take courage.

Psalm 31 is another of Davids psalms most likely written while escaping Saul. David asks God to Be a rock of strength for me, a stronghold to save me. For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me. You will pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me. I trust in the LORD. I will rejoice and be glad in Your faithfulness. David pours out all his troubles and agonized feelings to God in verse 9-13, and then says, How great is Your goodness, which You have stored up for those who fear You, which You have performed for those who take refuge in You.

David wrote Psalm 55 in heartbreak over a close friends treachery. As for me, I shall call upon God, and the LORD will save me. Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan, and He will hear my voice. Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you He will never let the righteous be shaken.

When You Ask He Hears You

Pin on Daily Bible Verses to Strengthen and Inspire Each Other

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Trust in God will increase your confidence in approaching Him. He has always been faithful. This verse follows the reassurance that if you believe what God says is true and you put your trust in Jesus, you have eternal life. That promise is where your confidence and trust come from.

Gods will for you is to know Him through a relationship with Jesus and to love Him and others as you grow to be more like Jesus. If you are confident that you are His because of a relationship with God through Christ, you can trust that He hears your prayers and provides for you in ways that fulfill His will.

Look To The Promise Of Heaven

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Paul was the author of this verse. In this letter, this follower of Jesus was telling his young apprentice about one of the numerous hardships that he was going through. But Paul knew no matter what torture, imprisonment or harassment he might face, the Lord was on his side. The Lord would help him face every circumstance.

Paul put his trust in God when the world let him down. He knew that in difficulty he could look to the promise of heaven because he trusted in Jesus. He did not have to get worried because of the difficult things he went through. Neither do you. God cares about how you have been wronged. He will take care of you in those times. Do not let them distract you. Keep your eyes on Him.

    Bible Verses About Faith

What does the Bible have to say about faith? It says that when we have faith and put our trust in God, He will be with us. He will answer our prayers and give us peace.

Here are some Bible verses about faith that speak to Gods good and loving nature, and talk about the promises he has made to us in His word when we have faith.

Meet your fears with faithMax Lucado

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

John 8:24 unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.

John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, Dont be afraid just believe.

1 John 5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

They Worshiped Him But Some Doubted

Learn Chinese through Bible verses 3: âBelieve in Jesusâ? æä¿¡è¶ç¨£

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him but some doubted.

These two verses come immediately before Jesus gives the disciples the Great Commission. These 11 men had spent a little over three years with Jesus. They’d seen miracles happen. Their Messiah was crucified and buried, and a couple of days later, they were dining with Him. If there was ever a good reason to believe in the unbelievable, the disciples had experienced it.

And yet, here they were with their previously deceased King, and some of them were still harboring doubts. What kind of doubts? Matthew doesnt tell us. Doubts that He was the Messiah? Doubts in His divinity? Doubts in the mission? Maybe a mixture of all these things.

What we do know is that Jesus doesn’t chastise them. He doesn’t tell them, “I was going to give you guys some critical information, but since you still dont fully believe, I’m not going to.” Instead, He meets them where they are. He confides in them and charges them with their new responsibilities.

Why? Because their faith isnt defined by any specific moment of doubt. Almost every one of these men will be martyred for their faith. Their faith is much bigger than these momentary questions and fears might suggest.

You Must Believe And Do Not Doubt

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

James’ words have often felt like a dagger for struggling people. Some people have prayed for sick loved ones, and when those loved ones didn’t get better, these words echoed in their head: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”

But it’s vital that we don’t pull these words out of their context. This passage specifically concerns praying for wisdom. James tells us that if we feel like we lack wisdom, we should pray for it. God wants to give us understanding, but it doesn’t do us any good to pray for wisdom if we dont believe God can give it to us.

What Does The Bible Say About Faith

    CHURCH DAILY NEWS on Twitter

The Bible talks extensively about having faith in Gods love and sovereignty. When we do, while we arent promised that things will be easy, we can know that God is with us through thick and thin, that he cares for us. He provides us the victory in any and all circumstances.

A spiritual mentor of mine, Pastor Bill Berg, said the following in his book, Words of Hope for All Times.

Let us not tremble and lament over what the world is coming to. Let us rather rejoice in the first coming of Jesus to this world to redeem it, and in His second coming to rule in glory, with justice and righteousness and peace. And while we wait may we lose our fears in self-giving love and service for Christ and for others.

Having faith in what is to come, and losing our fears in self-giving love and service for Christ will lead to a happier and more fulfilling life.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Psalm 120:1 In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me.

Jesus looked at them and said, With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.

A Prayer To Trust God’s Promises

Lord, as waves of fear come, I pray you would stir up in me a heart that desires to run to you. I pray for an unwavering trust in your goodness and the praise that you are my refuge. Thank you for your unfailing love, grace, and mercy over my life.

I pray the promises of Psalm 91 over my life. Right now, that no harm would overtake me, that no disaster would come near me. I pray that your angels would guard me in all my ways. I pray that because you love me, you would rescue me, protect me, and be with me in my troubles even if those troubles are all in my imagination. Calm my fears and bring your peace to my heart.

In Jesuss name, Amen. – Chelsey DeMattis
