What Does The Bible Say About A Future Palestinian State

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT ISRAEL VS PALESTINE? (HEBREW ELEVATION) BLACK HEBREW ISRAELITES UK

In light of this deeply profound and historical event, and in light of the overwhelming emerging global bias against the Nation of Israel, it is essential that all students of the Bible stop to consider what the it says about the future of both the nation of Israel and Palestine.

When one surveys the many Biblical passages that speak of the return of the Messiah, it quickly becomes apparent that among the primary issues that Jesus returns to confront, is the persecution, marginalization and unjust treatment of Israel by the nations of the earth. Despite the fact that the anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist propaganda of the age are widely embraced even by large segments of the Christian Church, the Bible is clear that when Jesus returns, he will specifically execute judgment against the enemies of Israel.

According to the prophet Joel, just prior to the return of Jesus, a vast number of nations will invade Israel and surround the city of Jerusalem. Joel tells us that Jesus will execute judgment against all parties involved in this invasion as well as any who force the dividing of His land:

I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and they have divided up My land. Joel 3:2

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. Isaiah 34:8

Israel And The Palestinians

Bob, Per your email, you asked that I give you some basic information on the relationship between Israel and the Palestinians. As I have said in my articles on end time prophecy, Israel is going to be the main country for everyone to keep their eyes on. When Jesus comes back for the second time, He will be ruling this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem, which is in Israel.

The last battle on this earth, the battle of Armageddon, will be centered in Israel. God is purposely drawing the eyes of the world onto Israel and from here on in, Israel will continue to find herself in the middle of all the fighting and chaos we will start to see increase in the coming years in the Middle East.

Right now, Israel is in constant battle and turmoil with the Palestinians. To really understand who the Palestinians are and how all this came about, you have to go back to the very beginning in the Old Testament.

Before I go into the history on all of this, remember one thing. God told the Israelites, His chosen people, when He pronounced judgment on them at the end of the Old Testament, that He would still continue to be their God and that He would bring them back into their homeland Israel at the end of times just shortly before Jesus would come back to set up His 1000 year Millennium Kingdom.

Here is a brief history of what has transpired with the Jewish people from 70 AD until the present time.

Why Did Israeli Police Raid The Al

The Israeli government said the police responded after the Palestinians started throwing stones at them. Palestinians say the fighting really began when police entered the mosque compound on Monday and started firing rubber-tipped bullets and stun grenades. More than 330 Palestinians were wounded. Israel said 21 of its officers were, too.

Palestinians clash with Israeli security forces May 10, 2021, at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalems Old City. Israeli police clashed with Palestinian protesters at the holy site in the latest in a series of confrontations that is pushing the contested city to the brink of eruption.

But the underlying tensions may have more to do with a set of clashes in the larger east Jerusalem area, which was captured by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War and is home to about 350,000 Palestinians.

For weeks prior to the mosque violence, Palestinians had been protesting the threatened eviction of Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of east Jerusalem. At night they would clash with police and far-right Jewish settlers.

Those clashes are in turn part of a long legal battle over who owns the property. Some Palestinians were relocated to Sheikh Jarrah by the Jordanian government in the 1950s after fleeing their homes during Israels War of Independence in 1948.

Foreigners Or Refugees Are Not To Be Oppressed

Do not oppress a foreigner you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.Exodus 23:9

This is the basic rule of thumb: Dont burden foreigners. Notice that the Scripture gives Israel a reason why because they knew how it felt to be a foreigner. Israelites were to call on their empathy for refugees because they had been treated cruelly as refugees who were made into slaves in Egypt. They werent to cheat them or take advantage of them in any way.

And since we, as believers, were once strangers outside Gods kingdom, we can identify with the idea of not belonging as the reason why we treat refugees or displaced people without discrimination.

Who Owns The City

History

Israel claims all of Jerusalem as its capital, while the Palestinians claim the citys eastern sector, captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war, as the capital of a future independent state. These rival claims lie at the heart of the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

While Israel controls the city and its government is based there, its annexation of east Jerusalem is not internationally recognized. The international community overwhelmingly says the final status of Jerusalem should be resolved through negotiations.

All Believers Are Strangers On Earth

live out your time as foreigners here with reverent fear.1 Peter 1:17

This is a principle for Gods people of all times. Moses instructed the Israelites not to sell any of the land permanently, because the land belonged to God and they were only foreigners living there .

Think of how graciously God treats us, the foreigners living in his world. His kindness to us can guide our thoughts and actions towards those living as strangers among us.

Violence Erupts As Palestinians Protest Trump Action On Jerusalem

The argument that Jerusalem should be the undivided capital of Israel is also rejected by many of the Christians who live there or in the neighboring territories. Most are ethnic Arabs, and they may feel less kinship with Jews. In a joint letter to Trump before he announced the policy change on Jerusalem, leaders of local Christian churches cautioned that it could bring “increased hatred, conflict, violence and suffering.”

Some evangelical leaders in the United States who work closely with Arab Christians in Israel and the Palestinian territories also worry about the ramifications of the Jerusalem policy change. Travis Wussow, vice president for public policy at the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, called Trump’s declaration “important” but warned that many Arab Christians are “concerned” about it.

“As the Middle East absorbs this news, let’s pray for the peace of Jerusalem, pray for the safety and flourishing of our Arab brothers and sisters in Christ, and pray our brothers and sisters in majority-Muslim contexts,” he wrote.

Among the U.S. evangelical leaders who disagreed with Trump’s move was Gary Burge, a New Testament scholar at Calvin Theological Seminary in Michigan.

“For many evangelicals, the modern state of Israel is a revival of the Israel they read about in their Bibles,” he says. “But when you build a bridge from biblical Israel to modern Israel, there is an enormous gap in history and theology.”

Rabbinic Laws In The Land Of Israel

According to Menachem Lorberbaum,

In Rabbinic tradition, the land of Israel consecrated by the returning exiles was significantly different in it boundaries from both the prescribed biblical borders and the actual borders of the pre-Exilic kingdoms. It ranged roughly from Acre in the north to Ashkelon in the south along the Mediterranean, and included Galilee and the Golan. Yet there was no settlement in Samaria.

According to Jewish religious law , some laws only apply to Jews living in the Land of Israel and some areas in Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria . These include agricultural laws such as the Shmita tithing laws such as the Maaser Rishon , Maaser sheni, and Maaser ani charitable practices during farming, such as pe’ah and laws regarding taxation. One popular source lists 26 of the 613 mitzvot as contingent upon the Land of Israel.

Many of the religious laws which applied in ancient times are applied in the modern State of Israel others have not been revived, since the State of Israel does not adhere to traditional Jewish law. However, certain parts of the current territory of the State of Israel, such as the Arabah, are considered by some religious authorities to be outside the Land of Israel for purposes of Jewish law. According to these authorities, the religious laws do not apply there.

According to some Jewish religious authorities, every Jew has an obligation to dwell in the Land of Israel and may not leave except for specifically permitted reasons .

Jerusalem

See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore He would give to your fathersto Abraham, Isaac and Jacoband to their descendants after them.

The ties of the Jewish People to this Holy Land are ancient and eternal,

US President Donald Trump is the first sitting president to visit the Western Wall.

The historical record is clear: The Jewish People have lived in Jerusalem since King David purchased the threshing floor on Mount Moriah 3,000 years ago.

David told the owner of the land,

Give me the site of the threshing floor that I may build on it an altar to the LORDgive it to me at its full price I will not take for the LORD what is yours, nor offer burnt offerings that cost me nothing. So David paid Ornan 600 shekels of gold by weight for the site.

Even after the Romans destroyed the second Jewish Temple in AD 70 and scattered the Jewish People into exile, a remnant have lived throughout the Holy Land ever since.

Yet contradictory statements have left many Christians wondering, Does the Land of Israel belong to the Jews or the Palestinians?

As bewildering and complex as the question may seem, there is a clear answer.

The Bible tells us that the Land of Israel and its boundaries arise from a covenant that God made with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendantsthe Jewish People.

David Ben-Gurion publicly pronounced the Declaration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948.

Gaza And The Palestinians In Bible Prophecy

By COGwriter

The Palestinian-dominated areas of the West Bank and Gaza have been in the news a lot. A violent-prone group known as Hamas essentially runs the region called Gaza.

Does the Bible have anything to say about Gaza and/or the Palestinians?

Gaza, itself, is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments. And some of those mentions involve statements that are prophetic.

What will happen to Gaza? Does the Bible teach anything about the Palestinians?

Gaza, `Azzah , is the feminine form the Hebrew word ‘az that means strong, vehement, or harsh . Here is a link to a related video: Gaza and Palestine in Prophecy.

The Bible Tells Of Gaza

The NKJV has the term “Gaza” 21 times and “Gazites” twice. All of which are quoted in this article.

Here is the first time Gaza is mentioned in the Bible:

15 Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and Heth 16 the Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite 17 the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite 18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed. 19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands and in their nations.

The first biblically mentioned inhabitants of Gaza were Canaanites that descended from Noah’s son Ham. But as it was a border region, over time, the ethnic character apparently became mixed. And there were changes:

The Bible shows that Joshua later conquered areas in that region:

The time also came when Gaza was conquered to become part of of the Israeli territory of Judah:

18 Also Judah took Gaza with its territory, Ashkelon with its territory, and Ekron with its territory. 19 So the Lord was with Judah. And they drove out the mountaineers, but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the lowland, because they had chariots of iron.

But the situation changed:

Samson had interest in a Gentile in Gaza and once had to escape from the city of Gaza:

The New Testament mentions Gaza:

To Some Zionist Christians And Jews The Bible Says Jerusalem Is Israel’s Capital

President Trump announced Wednesday that the U.S. views Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a controversial move that complicates Middle East politics.

Those Jews and evangelical Christians who say an undivided Jerusalem should be the eternal capital of Israel have a ready answer for anyone who questions that claim: The Bible says so.

The most often-cited text is 2 Chronicles 6:5-6, wherein King Solomon quotes God as saying, “Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city in all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there, and I chose no man as prince over my people Israel but I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.”

The Bible could hardly be more clear, it would seem.

“As far as God is concerned, Jerusalem has been the eternal, undivided capital since the reign of David,” said Laurie Cardoza-Moore, whose television program, Focus on Israel, is aimed primarily at evangelical Christians like herself who see the Bible as “true and historically accurate.” God, she said, “established the boundaries of all the nations, and he chose the city of Jerusalem for himself.”

Why Palestine Is Still ‘forbidden Land’: Proof From The Quran Torah And Bible

A map of ancient Israel and Judah. PDF version

Since the moment I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by debates on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Naturally, I took an interest in the subject, submerging myself in the inhumane historical events that led up to the dispute and the countless violation of human rights that have occurred ever since.

Yet, I never thought to dig deeper into the actual basis of the conflict: a claim made by Zionists declaring Palestine as their holy land, which they were promised by God.

Unfortunately, throughout history, religion has been used as a method to divide and conquer, and the Palestinian conflict is a clear manifestation of that.

But even though religion plays a vital role in the daily lives of billions, I dont believe it can justify the killing of thousands of innocent civilians and the displacement of millions more.

Now, after Trumps unsuccessful attempt at creating peace between the 2 people, I decided to investigate whether the religious claims made by Zionists, to justify their occupation of Palestine, are founded, or if they are just masks hiding a deeper motive.

The results I found were astonishing.

Where Is Gaza What About Palestine

Here is some information about Gaza:

The Gaza Strip , or simply Gaza, is a Palestinian region on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea that borders Egypt on the southwest for 11 kilometers and Israel on the east and north along a 51 km border.

In 1994, Israel granted the right of self-governance to Gaza through the Palestinian Authority. Prior to this, Gaza had been subject to military occupation, most recently by Israel and by Egypt , and earlier by Syria when Gaza had been part of the Ottoman Empire. Since 2007, the Gaza Strip has been de-facto governed by Hamas, a Palestinian group claiming to be the representatives of the Palestinian National Authority and the Palestinian people. In 2012, the United Nations General Assembly “accorded Palestine non-Member Observer State status in the United Nations”. Gaza forms a part of the Palestinian territory defined in the Oslo Agreements and UNSC Resolution 1860.

Basically, the nation calling itself Israel took Gaza in the 1967 war. Later, Israel turned Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority to govern, though Israel, technically considers it part of its territory. Most in Gaza are Palestinian Muslims who do not wish to be part of Israel. Around two million Palestinians live in neighboring Jordan .

Notice what the Bible says about the origin of the Philistines:

6 The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

13 Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, and Casluhim .

Just before the start of the decade that is now ending, in 2009, Benjamin Netanyahu reemerged from a political black hole to become prime minister of Israel again, and the Palestine Liberation Organization launched a strategy to internationalize a solution to the conflict.

Today, Netanyahu remains prime minister, though he is hanging on to power by a thread, and the PLO just played their only card to leverage Israel back to negotiationsthe International Criminal Court has opened a war crimes complaint involving Israeli officials.

The outcome of the ICC case could have serious ramifications for Netanyahu and his political rival for the premiership Benny Gantz, both of whom were central figures in the 2014 bombing of Gaza that is among the issues before the ICC.

Will the next decade in the struggle for Palestinian national aspirations be one distinguished by the triumph of international law and those institutions established after World War II to peacefully resolve international disputes, or will go-it-alone nationalism and the logic of power prevail? The outcome of various legal initiatives advanced by Palestinians will be critical in determining which way the world pivots.

Will Palestinians see the benefits of their legal efforts in the next year? 2020, like perfect vision, could make it all crystal clear.
