What Is The Scariest Bible Verse In Revelations

The SCARIEST Verse in the Bible for Christians to Read!

There is no shortage of scary stories in the bible, many of which can be found in the book of revelations a book meant to warn us about things to come, especially about the rapture.

Of all the scariest bible verses in revelations, one that stands out to us the most is the blowing of the seven trumpets, which would highlight the beginning of Gods wrath on mankind as contained in Revelations Chapters 8 to 11. Each trumpet confirms the pronouncement of a new fury, wrath, and consequence.

Can mankind take it all? As mentioned in the chapters above, the wrath is enough to make a believer shaky and scared little wonder as to why many Christians shy away from reading deep into that particular book of the bible.

The Scariest Words In The Bible

I have heard some scary words in my life. When I heard my mother yell, Randall Justin Imel, I heard some scary words! When my wife says, We need to talk, I hear some scary words!

Im confident that you have heard some scary words in your life, too. Maybe youve heard a doctor say, Its cancer. Maybe youve heard a spouse say, I want a divorce. Maybe youve heard a supervisor say, Shut the door. We need to talk. Words can certainly be frightening.

alloween is the time we think about frightening things. Children will dress up as ghosts and goblins as they go house to house in search of candy. Those houses may look menacing with fake cobwebs and spiders and tombstones and skeletons at least, I hope theyre fake. TV networks will air movies intended to scare your socks off.

What might be the scariest scene in all of Scripture? I believe wed find the most frightening scene in all of Scripture at Matthew 7:21-23. In that passage, you have the scariest event in Scripture: Standing before the judgment seat of Christ. You find the scariest Person: The Resurrected Christ acting as judge. The Resurrected Christ speaks the scariest words: I never knew you depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.

In the Sermon on the Mount, however, we are reminded: The Resurrected Christ will be our Judge Our actions have serious consequences We will not live on this earth forever either were going to die or witness the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus.

Reading, understanding, and using these scriptures at the right time at the right place isnt easy. However, if you keep reading and thinking about it, God will enlighten your way, and you will grow your wisdom.

Psalm 23:4-5, Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil my cup overflows.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward

All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was said if you dont love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

What Monsters Are In The Bible

Seven Bowls That Look Like Offerings Will Actually Release Lethal Plagues

If the seven trumpets were scary, then the seven bowls are even more terrifying. While the trumpets are seen as “warnings,” or events from which one could recover through redemption, the seven bowls are more final in nature: There is no recovering from these horrifying incidents.

When angels pour seven bowls or vials on the earth, they won’t be the offerings they appeared to be. Instead, they will be filled with plagues that destroy pretty much anything and anyone left after the first round of trumpet devastation.

The consequences include oozing sores appearing on those with the mark of the beast the seas and remaining rivers turning to blood and then a massive heatwave scorching the earth and causing people to combust on the spot. Next comes darkness and the Euphrates River drying up to allow kings of the world to cross and meet to battle.

Finally, the last bowl brings a massive earthquake , and as the Book says, “Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake… The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.”

    Scary Bible Verses About Death

The last of our scary Bible verses talk about death. We are going to begin with a few less than pleasant ways to die that are mentioned in scripture and then we are going to talk about hell because few ideas are scarier than spending eternity burning.

King Herod Acts 12:21-23 tells us that King Herod put on his kingly robes and delivered an address to the people. The people hailed him as a god and in his arrogance, he did not correct them. Because of this pride, God struck him dead and the worms ate him.

Absalom 2 Samuel 16-18 tells us the story of how Davids son, Absalom, tries to steal the throne away from him. Absalom was known for his beautiful hair and attractive looks. Im guessing he was also arrogant and prideful. As we saw with King Herod above, God does not look kindly on such an attitude. During a battle, Absaloms hair becomes entangled in a tree branch and hes left hanging there. Of course, Davids men take the opportunity to remove the threat to their kings throne and Absalom meets an early end.

Jehoram 2 Chronicles 21 contains the story of Jehoshaphats son, Jehoram, who did evil in the sight of the Lord. God sent Elijah to warn him of his sin and proclaim a punishment upon him. The punishment was that God would send a disease of the bowels in which they would end up coming out and Jehoram would die a painful death. Im not exactly sure what it means that his bowels came out, but that could not have been a good way to go.

    Are Leviathans In The Bible

A leviathan is a massive sea monster that breathes fire and emits smoke from its nostrils, although it is not harmed by human weapons. It is a multi-headed sea serpent that was killed and fed to the Hebrews by God in the wilderness Psalm 74 vs. 14.

It was also mentioned in Isaiah 27 vs. 1, where it represented a symbol of the enemies of the children of God, He will eventually slay. Some might say it was a crocodile, but crocodiles dont breathe fire now, do they?

Some Of The Scariest Verses In The Bible

In my opinion some of the scariest verses in the Bible are

We are commanded by God in the Scriptures that, when we hear His voice to not harden our hearts.

How do we harden our hearts? Simpleby KNOWING what Gods Word clearly says about something but refusing to obey because doing so might seriously interfere with the lifestyle that we are wanting to pursue.

I could go on and onbut we all get the point.

When people harden their hearts in Scripture it just doesnt go well for them.

My question is thisis there anything in your life that God seems to be relentless in coming after?

If soare you repenting or defending? Because, when you defend what you are doing in the face of a Holy and awesome God who wants nothing but the best for youthen you are actively hardening your heart. ANDone dayyou might not even be able to hear His voice anymore if you dont deal with what Hes dealing with!

Its not that most of us dont hear the voice of Godits that we dont like what we hear and so we either fight with Him or ask Him to tell us something else. BUTuntil we deal with what Hes dealing with we will NEVER get past where we are right now.

Todayif you hear His voice, do not harden your heart!

    Examining Matthew : 21

Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.

The obvious implication is that more than simply saying, Lord, Lord is required for our salvation. Ive heard people say that all one needs to do for salvation is to confess faith in Jesus. The funny thing is that Jesus himself says thats not enough .

We must call on the name of the Lord for salvation, however. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved . How do we call upon the name of the Lord? We most certainly must confess his name with our lips . Yet, calling on the name of the Lord most certainly involves action. Saul of Tarsus called on the name of the Lord by arising and being baptized in order to have his sins washed away . We speak our faith and we demonstrate our faith by our obedience.

Its quite obvious that calling on the name does not exclude obedience, for the one who obeys the Heavenly Father will enter heaven. We demonstrate our love for Jesus through our obedience . Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all those who obey him .

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy

I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lords Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lords Prayer and not some other? The Lords Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.

When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let Gods will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lords prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.

We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.

    Scary Bible Verses In Revelation

    Scary Bible Quotes Revelations. QuotesGram

Revelation is one of those books that everyone talks about and no one perfectly understands. The unknown, the figurative language, and the overall scary predictions can leave one feeling a bit nervous .

Before I list the scariest verses in Revelation , I want to remind you that you do not want to live for God out of fear. Serving God simply because you do not want a terrible end is not enough to bring you into a healthy relationship with your Heavenly Father.

While the idea of hell and the end of the world are very real and necessary to learn about and might even make you think about the direction your life is going, God doesnt want to scare you into serving Him. That is not His method. Romans 2:4 tells us that Gods kindness brings us to salvation.

While you study these verses remember that God is good, He is love and peace and a God of order. All of the scary is a result of a sinful world.

The Scariest Passage In The Bible

    Video Audio Slides

27″But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. 30Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. 32If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 35But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. 37″Do not judge, and you will not be judged and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned pardon, and you will be pardoned. 38Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measurepressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”- Luke 6:27-38

    A Requirement For Discipleship

That brings me to what should be the scariest verse in the Bible. It reaches to the heart of why so many refuse to change. It explains why some recognize that Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbaththe seventh dayyet dont change from the sun-worshipping first day of the week, consecrated by Emperor Constantine in the fourth century AD. It explains why most who know the true origins of Christmas and Easter would rather hang onto these heathen-originated practices than keep the days Jesus and His followers kept. It explains why so few professing Christians are willing to come into harmony with the book they say they believe as the inspired word of God.

What is that scariest of all scriptures? What does it mean for you? Read it. Meditate on it. Here it is:

If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple .

This is the scripture where the rubber meets the road. It is not an easy requirement for discipleshipand, oh, how some hate the word requirementbut it is why Jesus tells us we must enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it .
