Inspiring Bible Verses About Gods Amazing Love For You

The Man Who Fought With God – One Of The Greatest Stories In The BIble

The God who created the universe, the most powerful being ever, loves you personally. Try to wrap your mind around that. He loves you not just people in general, but you as a person. He cares about your life and wants to be part of it.

Even if youve spent your whole life running from God or done things you regret, He still loves you and wants to have a relationship with you.

Gods love is unconditional and infinite far, far beyond what even the best of people are capable of. God commands those who follow Him to love one another. Among sincere believers whose hearts God has changed, you can see an imperfect picture of His love.

But even the best at loving others will fall short, and they’ll tell you to go to the source.

The Bible is a compilation of the words God gave people so we could know more about Him. The Bible says God loves you whatever state your life is in.

These verses from the Bible remind us of Gods wonderful, extravagant, amazing, unstoppable and unconditional love.

If you are struggling to believe that God loves you as you are, take some time to think about these verses. You could pray after reading each scripture or journal about one verse each day.

The following topics are covered in this article. Click on the topic if you prefer to go straight there:

God Disciplines You To Help You Learn Because He Loves You

My child, dont reject the LORDs discipline, and dont be upset when He corrects you. For the LORD corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.

Though people often associate discipline with punishment, this verse shows us that Gods discipline is more about training and teaching. That is why Jesus followers were called disciples, or people who follow a teacher.

When you follow Jesus, you become His disciple. In the process of learning from Jesus, some lessons will be hard or even feel like punishment. But God is not out to punish you or hurt you. He is trying to teach you. Your choices have consequences, and God usually allows you to experience those consequences. Facing hard things and overcoming them is one of the best ways to learn.

Dont let yourself get dragged down by hardships or isolate yourself from God and others. Instead, turn to God for help and discover what He is teaching you in the process.

Gods Love Is Too Great To Fully Understand

And may you have the power to understand, as all Gods people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Gods love is so great that we, as mere humans, cannot fully understand it. Humans love for one another often depends at least partly on the behavior of the person being loved. Gods love for us does not.

Do you long to be known and loved for who you are? God is the only one who can truly do that.

God Is Loving He Does Not Want To Harm You But To Show You Compassion

Though He brings grief, He also shows compassion because of the greatness of His unfailing love. For He does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.

When you experience difficult things or see suffering in the world, you may be tempted to think God dislikes you or that He enjoys seeing some people suffer. This is not true. God created a beautiful, perfect world, but people brought imperfection into it.

God is hurt when He sees how much people suffer. He has allowed people to make a mess of the world for a period of time, but He will not leave it that way forever. God will make things right again because He is compassionate and loving.

The Teaching Of Deification

This wonderful truth will surely come as quite a shock to those who have heard only the traditional view of mainstream Christianity regarding the ultimate reward of the righteous. Yet those who might be quick to assail this teaching will perhaps be even more surprised to learn that many early “church fathers” of mainstream traditionnot so far removed from early apostolic teachingdid understand this incredible truth, at least in part.

Notice paragraph 460 of the current Catechism of the Catholic Church , footnotes in brackets:

“The Word became flesh to make us ‘partakers of the divine nature’ : ‘For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God’ . ‘For the Son of God became man so that we might become God’ . ‘The only-begotten Son of God, wanting to make us share in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods’ ” .

This teaching is even more prevalent in Eastern Orthodox tradition, where it is known by the Greek term theosis, meaning “divinization” or “deification.” However, it is wholly unlike the New Age concept of “I am god”looking to the self as supreme. Notice the remarkable explanation of the early Catholic theologian Tertullian, writing around A.D. 200:

God Gives Us The Holy Spirit Because He Wants Us To Be Filled With His Love

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.

Have you ever had someone in your life you loved so much that you wanted to be with them all the time? God feels that way about you. Not only does God love you and want a relationship with you, but He wants to be present in every moment of your life.

When you begin a relationship with God, the Holy Spirit comes into your life. He is with you through the good and the bad. You can choose to ignore the Holy Spirits influence, but He will never leave you. He is always waiting for you to turn back and seek His comfort, wisdom and guidance.

The Holy Spirit can help you experience and have a deeper understanding of Gods love for you. His presence in your life means you are never on your own.

We Are Gods Ambassadors

11 Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too.12 Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart.13 If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.14 Either way, Christs love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone a new life has begun!

Gods love is so much more than the warm fuzzy feeling we often associate with the word love. His love is a powerful force, protecting and comforting us. Being in Gods love is a position of not just joy but also safety.

God Will Not Let You Down Because His Love Cannot Fail

The Most Peaceful Sleep You’ve Ever Had With These Bible Verses

Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. How precious is Your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of Your wings.

You have probably been hurt or betrayed by someone you love at some point in your life. Maybe you have experienced this more than once. Loving and trusting other people is risky. Once one person hurts you, it becomes harder to open up to others.

In contrast, Gods love is truly unconditional. He never fails you or betrays you. You do not need to hold back in your relationship with God, because He is totally trustworthy.

When you feel let down by people, read these verses and remember this: Though people may let you down, God never will.

God Cares When You Are Suffering Because He Loves You

I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul.

When things are hard, it can be easy to feel alone or like no one cares. But God cares. He cares about your sadness and hardships. He cares about your suffering. Why? Because God loves you.

Even when things seem hopeless, you can still hope in God. God does not promise He will fix our problems in the immediate sense. We will experience pain and suffering and sorrow. But He does promise that one day, everyone who has a relationship with Him will spend eternity in His presence, where suffering and sorrow will be gone forever.

But God is not just telling us, It will get better later, and leaving it at that. God hurts when you hurt because He loves you. He is always there to comfort you with His unfailing love as you bring your struggles to Him.

Bible Verses About God’s Will – Scripture Quotes on God’s Plan

God’s will for our lives has reason and purpose. It is through scripture, where we can find meaning and principles discerning God’s will. if you are interested in knowing Gods plan for your life, then you must learn to walk with God. You need to develop a relationship with Him. Christianity is all about a relationship and spiritual connection rather than just religion. You will cultivate that relationship best by spending time in His Word, taking time for prayer, and taking every opportunity you can to be involved in church and small group Bible study opportunities. When you seek these disciplines in your life, God will begin the first steps to revealing His plan to you.

Many times when we say we are seeking Gods will, what we are really wanting to say to God is this: OK, God, heres what Im planning to do. Now I need you to rubber-stamp this, all right? I must tell you that this is not really effective in finding His true will. Before God will begin to reveal His will to you, you must be committed to doing whatever it is that He desires for you to do. God will likely be slow to show you His plan if He knows you will likely not do that plan anyway.

Seek God’s will and plan for your life through obedience, prayer, and listening to the Holy Spirit. Use these Bible verses about the will of God to gain a better understanding of His plan for your life.

Bible Verses About Good Works God Has Prepared For Us

We are Godâs workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

For we are His workmanship, , which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. These are works done, not in our own strength and for our own benefit, but by the grace of God and in obedience to Him led by the Holy Spirit, to Gods glory.

The way of works is the way of life, for He who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:17.

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven Depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness. Matthew 7:21-23.

To the churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, we read constantly, I know your works, and Do the first works. You hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans. As for your works, the last are more than the first. and keeps My works until the end.For I have not found your works perfect before God. In other words, they should have been perfect!!!

The only thing that interests God is our works the works He has prepared for us! It is the only thing that weighs anything on the scales!

Bible Verses About God’s Love

What does the Bible say about God’s love? God’s love takes many forms throughout the stories of scripture. Parts of the Bible even refer to God as love itself. Love could be explained as wanting the best for someone, and that’s exactly what God intends for us. God loves you simply because he loves you. You dont have to work for his affection. You dont have to set yourself straight before God can pour out his love over you.

God absolutely loves you. Its hard to get our minds around, but it is true. This is where the faith journey starts: understanding that God loves you. If you do not have an assurance of Gods love, your faith journey will not last long. Fortunately, reading the Bible can help to strengthen your faith in God’s love. There is no force more powerful than the love our heavenly Father has for us, His children. His love can move mountains, stop the roaring seas, heal broken bones and wounded hearts, transform lives, and set free those held captive by sin and shame. So great is his love for you and me that he sent his only Son to die that we might live through him.
