How Can I Stop Having Lustful Thoughts
Pornography addiction is much more common than you think, and once you start, it is extremely difficult to stop. The addiction cycle is a lonely, regretful place to be. It may bring delight and sexual gratification in the moment, but the long-lasting pain and shame that follows is definitely not worth a few minutes of pleasure.
As Christians, we are called to be selfless and holy . If we are entertaining lustful thoughts, indulging in our selfishness privately, you can see how it would be nearly impossible to live that kind of life publicly.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”Hebrews 12:1-2
God Wants Us To Please Him
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
We were created for Gods pleasure but until we believe God we cannot please Him. We must believe that God exists and that He rewards all whom diligently seek after Him. It is first that saving faith that when we hear that word of truth we are convicted to believe the gospel of our salvation. And the great news is that after that first step of faith God gives us more faith that enables us to walk with Him and please Him. The Bible tells us that when we are in the flesh we cannot please God . And once we receive Christ as our savior and we choose to walk with Him we begin to bear the fruit of the Spirit . Here are some more verses that come to mind when I think about pleasing God:
Isaiah 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: For I have created him for my glory, I have formed him yea, I have made him.
Galatians 5:2223 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Ephesians 2:89 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Youre In Lust: There Is No Real Intimacy Between You
But hell be okay with sitting or lying collectively or simply holding palms. He wont let any chance of touching you all over even when you dont like it, eventually ending it with sex. Love makes the 2 people related at a lot depth and its like an affiliation like no different. You at all times plan issues together, need a future collectively and at all times assume as a unit. Even if there was one thing you liked doing alone, you cant imagine doing it now with out your partner in thoughts.

What Does The Bible Say About Pornography
The battle against pornography and sexual purity has raged for generations, and it has become more sophisticated and widespread as the years have passed. But Gods message to us remains the same.

She didnt find out about the porn problem through a confession. She found it on his phone. My sister had been putting away laundry when she took her husbands phone out of his jeans. She happened to swipe the screen when suddenly a video popped open to play. In utter shock, Jade scrolled through his phone only to find dozens of videos, photos, and other pornographic websites.
I then called a close family friend. I think you need to talk to Will about his marriage. His wife just found porn on his phone and shes thinking about leaving him. This family friend scoffed and said, Why? Its not that big of a deal. Men werent meant to be monogamous and the fact shes airing their dirty laundry to you is pretty pathetic. He went on further as to why porn isnt a big deal.
Do you see what just happened there? A family unit was nearly destroyed because of pornography and yet most Americans dont think that porn is a big deal. But it is. According to 15 Mind Blowing Facts about Pornography and Church, here are some alarming statistics:
2. 2.47% of families in the United States reported pornography in their home.
In The Bed And The Mind
Can you lust after your own wife? If you are governed by this approach to love and honor and holiness in a sexual relationship, I dont think it is wrong for a husband to want his wife sexually and to think about having her and to hold her in his mind the way he would hold her in bed.
We should be amazed that our Savior chose to describe his relationship with his church with a parable of such exquisite pleasure.
So if that is what he is thinking about Can you entertain in your mind thoughts about sexual delights with your wife? I think the answer is absolutely yes. There is no sin in your mind that wouldnt be sin in your bed. What would be sin is if a husband imagined sin or desired sin or took on attitudes to his wife in his heart that would be wrong in the bedroom. I think it is right for a husband to enjoy his wife any way in the mind that would be right to enjoy her in the bed.
Ill just close with this stunning thing. It is kind of out of the blue, but just so amazing I cant leave it unsaid. The stunning thing in all of this is that this is a picture of Christ and the church. Are you kidding me? Paul would say that this cherishing, this nurturing, this delighting, this pleasuring is a portrait, a drama, of Christs relationship to his bride? We should be amazed that our Savior chose to describe his relationship with his church with a parable of such exquisite pleasure.

Exposing Satans Devices: What The Bible Says About Masturbation
What does the Bible say about masturbation? is one of our most frequently asked questions. Many Christians have found it difficult to answer the question of what the Bible says about masturbation according to the Bible, because the Bible never mentions masturbation specifically. To understand how God feels about this subject, we must examine other verses that deal with issues such as lust, self-control and purity. Also, we must examine its fruit to see if it is from God. We have tried to address this issue by answering some of the most frequently asked questions. Our prayer is that God will use this page to bring freedom and deliverance.
Break Free To Victory
You have heard that the law of Moses says, Do not commit adultery. But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart. So if your eyeeven if it is your good eyecauses you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your handeven if it is your stronger handcauses you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew 5:27-30 NLT
Choosing victory with your eyes
I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust upon a young woman. Job 31:1
Choosing victory with your hands and feet.
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Follow anything that makes you want to do right. Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. 2 Timothy 2:22 NLT
You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoytheir immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. I Peter 4:3 NLT
Lust for God
As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the Living God. Psalm 42:1 NLT

The Great Error That Must Be Exploded
The great error that I am trying to explode in these messages is the error that says, faith in God is one thing and the fight for holiness is another thing. Faith gets you to heaven and holiness gets you rewards. You get your justification by faith, and you get your sanctification by works. You start the Christian life in the power of the Spirit, you press on in the efforts of the flesh. This is the great evangelical error of our day. The battle for obedience is optional, they say, because only faith is necessary for salvation.
You cant lose when you turn to God.
Our response: the battle for obedience is absolutely necessary for salvation because it is the fight of faith. The battle against lust is absolutely necessary for salvation because it is the battle against unbelief. Faith alone delivers from hell and the faith that delivers from hell delivers from lust.
God Wants Us To Glorify Him
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
When we are saved by grace because we believe what Jesus did for us on the cross, and we are walking with the Lord, we should want to glorify Him. Singing to Him should be something we desire to do . Even when people say that there is no God, the Bible promises that the earth shall be filled with the knowledge that God gets the glory . No matter what life challenges we face, we ought to glorify God because of all that He has done for us. The Bible has so many things to say about why we should glorify God, here are some of my favorite verses:
Psalm 96:13 O sing unto the LORD a new song: Sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name Shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people.
Psalm 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But unto thy name give glory, For thy mercy, and for thy truths sake.
Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee for thy judgments are made manifest.

What Are The Consequences Of Lust
From the context of the passage , it is clear that we cannot love both God and the world , just as we cannot live both in the Spirit and in the flesh .
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish .
For if you live according to the flesh you will die but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live .
Note that it is because of Gods love that He commands us not to love the world or live according to the flesh. He knows that the world and its desires pass away in other words, the lust of the flesh ultimately leads to death therefore, He wants us to live forever by doing His will .
As the psalmist wrote, Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail. But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever .
Overcoming The Lust Of The Flesh
First, we need to remember what Jesus said to His disciples at the Garden of Gethsemane, Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak .
Here Jesus reveals that we need to be watchful and prayerful to overcome temptation. We need to be led and controlled by the Spirit in our prayers and actions.
Importantly, Paul also urges Gods people to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh . We must remain near to Jesus, continually abiding in Gods Word.
Let the Lord Jesus Christ be as near to you as the clothes you wear. Then you won’t try to satisfy your selfish desires .
Perhaps, this is also what Jesus had in mind when He said,
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him .
Moreover, Peter reminds us to be willing to suffer in the flesh so that we can live for the will of God . It is consistent with what Jesus has taught, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me .
Suffering in the flesh for Christ means that we are willing to deny ourselves, putting to death the deeds of our bodies .

The Pure Shall See God
I close with an illustration from an article in Leadership . It was unsigned, but written by a preacher who for ten years was in bondage to lust. He tells the story of what finally released him. It is such a resounding confirmation of what I am trying to say that I want to quote the key paragraph.
He ran across a book by Francois Mauriac, What I Believe. In it Mauriac admitted how the plague of guilt had not freed him from lust. He concludes that there is one powerful reason to seek purity, the one Christ gave in the Beatitudes: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
The thought hit me like a bell rung in a dark, silent hall. So far, none of the scary, negative arguments against lust had succeeded in keeping me from it . . . But here was a description of what I was missing by continuing to harbor lust: I was limiting my own intimacy with God. The love he offers is so transcendent and possessing that it requires our faculties to be purified and cleansed before we can possibly contain it. Could he, in fact, substitute another thirst and another hunger for the one I had never filled? Would Living Water somehow quench lust? That was the gamble of faith.
It was not a gamble. You cant lose when you turn to God. He discovered this in his own life, and the lesson he learned is absolutely right:
The way to fight lust is to feed faith with the knowledge of an irresistibly glorious God.

Stimulating Bible Verses About Sex Purity Lust And Temptation
In modern culture, the topic of sex is ever-prevalent in daily life. From the infiltration of porn into mainstream media, to the need for purity when seeking God, there is a massive, ever-present assault of sexual imagery to be dealt with each day. But what does the Bible say about sex in life and society?
Here are 8 verses that will stimulate further thought and provoke action when it comes to the meaning and purpose of sex as described in the Bible.
Genesis 1:27-28 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
God blessed male and female to be “fruitful and increase in number.” This verse also describes mankind as being created “male and female,” linking the first book of the Bible to themes of gender, marriage and sex.
The marriage “bed” must be kept pure, this verse states, an ancient yet still timely reminder of purity, and the power and passion of marital sex, amidst today’s onslaught of sexual sin.
Jesus responds to questions in this Biblical passage, describing sex as a man and a wife uniting so that, “the two will become one flesh.” Jesus also affirms the importance of marriage, especially relevant in today’s divorce culture.
